That *was* the January Window
47er replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Interesting replies to that report from LT. Almost all replicate the views expressed on here. And the usual idiots have gone quiet. Conclusion--the truth is finally dawning? To let your staff negotiate a new transfer and then to pull the plug while the guy has already on the way from the States is utterly unforgivable and contemptuous of all normal standards. They are a disgrace and now everybody knows it. They have held the Club up to shame and ridicule. Surely now something has to give? -

Yes I was thinking that. If (big if) MacGuire ever does play for us, likely as not we'll wonder what the fuss was all about! -
The ignorance and stupidity of Rovers fans on social media

Or in the case of Reg of the Rovers just a total idiot. Read a few of his posts but bad for my heart!. He seems to think he's clever as well which really gets me going! Keep away from that site, its a health hazard. -

We're in no state to fight out such an important game. Morale will be rock-bottom. A miracle if we win or even draw. -

Dunno but the appeal was finally dismissed in March!! We'll be down by then. -

Is this the typical fan? I hope not! From LT (of course). Right on .2 hrs ago User ID: 67611 I think we need to cut Rovers management some slack , their hands were tied until the Wharton deal was signed and sealed and then and only then could they proceed with this McGuire deal .I think they should be congratulated on getting £22.5 million for Wharton , a phenomenal sum for a player worth nowhere near that, Crystal Palace have well and truly had their pants pulled down . So lets have a bit of realism into the whole saga and see where it goes , people are too quick to jump on the bandwagon without knowing the full facts .. -

You've used the word "conspiracy" because it makes the suspicions seem more extreme and outlandish and that suits your point of view. I prefer the word "malfeasance". -

Excuse me but when did the benefit to the Club become important to Venkys? Few other clubs have done this ever and we've done it twice in less than a year? -

I believe that too. I also Believe Venkys wouldn't come at the price for signing MacGuire in the summer. They probably baulked at paying the wages and fee for O'Brien as well and held that deal up all it was too late. I'd believe anything negative about these useless, spoilt idiots. -

Bidg difference here is we want the coach to stay, its the owners we want to get rid of. Can't even make their lives a misery since they live thousands of miles away. -

The problem is that there is apparently no desire or mechanism to improve and become competent. That's because it starts at the top with Venkys. It is their shit show we are sitting through and it will never change until they are gone. -

Its much more likely that final permission to pay anything has to come direct from Pune and that, as usual, they can't make their mind up until it's too late. However, I don't blame anyone who believes it's deliberate. It happens too often. -

Foe a start he hasn't got a striker worthy of the name. Our squad is also short on numbers as the injuries mounted up. Exactly as forecast on here. IfJDT didn't "moan" in these circumstances it would be very odd. -
India 255 all out, lead of 398. Great performance from our bowlers. Difficult task for our batters on a wicket that's keeping low but plenty of time. Need a huge improvement from our top order. Interesting point, India's batters have largely failed in both innings apart from having a top performance from one batter in each.

JDT the best manager of Venky's era. They've had several windows to get him a striker worthy of the name and utterly failed. If they had and we'd converted just a few more of the myriad chances we have created, we would have easily made the play-offs by now. Then we could have built on it. Its not his fault that he been sent to fight without weapons.- 9617 replies

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)

Rest of the article was highly critical though. A step forward. At last acknowledging the anti-Waggot, anti-Venkys feelings of the fans. Brave by normal LT standards. -

And yet, before Wharton was sold, we had people on here and elsewhere speculating about the sort of players we could buy with what we'd get for him, and how we could end up with a better squad as a result. I wrote than that we wouldn't see any of the money and it would simply disappear to pay everyday bills, Not iike it hasn't happened before! No plan at Ewood but to keep grinding on year after year with just the memories to sustain us. -

If you can't beat QPR at home all games are potential losses. I don't share your confidence at all. -
We are going down (the pessimism thread)
47er replied to simongarnerisgod's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
This is a Club in deep crisis. We have nothing left. A foreign set of dodgy owners who can't/won't fund the Club No admin worthy of the name No acting Board of Directors A manager who wants to leave but can't A squad which is unbalanced interns of numbers, age, experience and talent A stadium in dire need of repair A disillusioned and increasingly small set of fans No way are we ready for a fight against relegation. I'm sure most agree we are drifting in to oblivion. That's what 13/14 years of Venkys have done for us. Somehow or other fans need to bring this to a head. We can't go on like this week after week, year after year. I've said many times, the only action which would make Venkys sit up and take notice is for no-one to turn up. That might well be achieved on an incremental basis the way things are going but the club will be dead by then. -
Much worse I think. Last time round I felt confident we would come straight back up. Not now.
