  1. He didn't lack confidence---had quite a bit to say to other players and the ref! I like it!
  2. Brereton last season?
  3. They are however investing £100M in a new stadium. Shovel work expected to start before the end of the year.
  4. It happened at Ewood once too. Ref blew for half-time and they trooped off. Fans mystified, 5 mins later both teams reappeared for the final few minutes of the half. 1960's, can't remember team or date. Parson?
  5. Absolutely agree with everyone who says play JRC in midfield with Brittain behind him.
  6. Forget to stop the clock or forget to restart it!
  7. Shouldn't be in the hands of the ref. An official away from the pitch should stop the clock when play stops and start it agin once its in play. He/she should signal full-time to the ref who then blows his whistle. Refs have enough to think about. Anyway, let's hope the there's impetus from such a dramatic game and we make it. Well done for that 2nd half Rovers. 81% possession should count for something!
  8. Does it really matter? We're staying in this division aren't we? I really haven't the incentive to think of the rest of the games. Its all gone.
  9. Does that mean we're selling Brockhall?
  10. But not looking like scoring in a million years! Since we need 10 chances per goal I've given up.
  11. Things are looking up---Huddersfield had an attack and didn't score.
  12. They've been down our way twice and scored twice! Utterly pathetic. No bottle, no hope.
  13. Pears poor on that one. Their first attack---literally.
  14. Its cause and effect! If I predict a win I know we'll lose, so I'm predicting a pathetic loss!
  15. I hink Amari Bell illustrates that very well. How come Luton are virtually a certainty to play in the play-offs with Bell their regular full-back but he's not good enough to play for us---- and we're not?!!
  16. Anyone watch any of the Millwall v Luton game? Absolutely appalling. Not even bog standard Championship game, more like the games you see in local league. And yet these 2 teams are above us!
  17. And at Easter! Remember way back, 25th March 1967, Mike Ferguson sent off in the vital promotion clash with Coventry. One of the beneficiaries of that defeat were----Huddersfield! Broken-hearted that day I was.
  18. At least we've had some highlights this season. In the top 6 for nearly all of it. Beat West Ham, Leicester and Spurs away in the Cups. That pulsating Cup game at Bramall Lane where we should have won. Apart from a promotion from Div i, seems eons ago, what memorable moments can we take from 5 years of Mowbray? Not one Cup run in 5 years in either com and, hardly ever in the top 6. Attendances sliding every year. I'll judge JDT when he's had at least on decent transfer window---at the minimum that means an outstanding mid-fielder as good as O'Brien, someone to replace Brereton and another striker who knows where the net is. If we keep the players we have ( apart from the Chilean) and got those 3 in and JDT fails then, no argument from me, his heads on the block.
  19. And Hiddersfield are in good form, absolutely the worst time to play them.
  20. I certainly don't back his every move. I"ve stated several times that imo Dolan should pay more regularly.I have vigourlessly criticised him for the Burnley game, which seems to me to have had long-term consequences. My post was about refuting the notion that he hasn't made mistakes. But we are where we are and, but for that January transfer window disaster, I think we'd be a lot farther. Andd we can't put the blame on him for that.
  21. Let's not forget we beat Norwich away shall we? Nobody with any sense cold fail to see that we've gone backwards since then, for one reason or another. We've don't always have to go to one extreme or another. JDT can be criticised without that being taken to mean anyone wants him sacked! He was badly let down in the transfer window. With a decent striker and O'Brien we would probably be at least secure in the 6 or better but, that being said, his selections and substitutions have rightly come under criticism. For some reason there have been many games when we just haven't turned up. When we played Burnley, whichever team won went top. The rot started there and we are now 26 points behind them! In this situation, ridiculous to imagine that every part of the club wouldn't come under scrutiny.
  22. 0-0 would be a very good result for us. Still OK if Luton won.
