  1. How is he an England hopeful?
  2. Surely Michael Fish takes some of the blame too.
  3. 2023 - ‘ I cannot emphasise enough the importance of drainage, especially with the rainfall we experience in Blackburn’ 🤦‍♂️ https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/july/28/grounds-manager-delighted-with-ewood-pitch-/
  4. The local paper had Bradford City quoting the cost as a ‘significant six figure sum’
  5. Maybe he works with too many Preston fans.
  6. They’ll say they are adhering to the two different terms and conditions of the tickets. Never do more than they have to this lot (and often not even that).
  7. I’ve decided not to hold my breath on this one. 😁😁
  8. Can’t see that referenced where I’d expect it to be in the regulations. Thats why I’ve asked Chaddy to ask Nicko…
  9. Suspended 5 point deduction and having to pay compensation to their affected opponents: https://www.efl.com/contentassets/2360941774f04705bf2c384b511bca04/221219--efl-v-coventry-city--agreed-decision--ratified.pdf
  10. Can you do me a favour please and ask him for the regulation number? Ta in advance.
  11. Failing to fulfill fixtures is misconduct - guilt is assumed unless the club can demonstrate they couldn’t have foreseen or reasonably have anticipated and remedied (using best endeavours) the issue prior to the event. I think the club would struggle to argue this given it’s the second time it’s happened in a few months. I guess their argument would be ‘haven’t you seen our new pipe thingy and our big sponge thingies’. Should the EFL not be convinced by this argument, one of the disciplinary options is for the club to be ordered to carry out ‘a specific performance’. In this situation, I can’t see how such a performance wouldn’t be something along the lines of ‘sort your fucking drains out you muppets’. Misconduct is such a broad offence that the available punishments go as far as expulsion from the league - I think that one might be a bit too extreme though!!
  12. I’d expect a fine and being told to improve the drainage/solve the problem. Maybe with a suspended points deduction thrown in too.
  13. Just doesn’t seem right to add the card to the total but not the match to the (threshold) total. I expect you’re correct with that being how it works though.
  14. I knew the cards counted still, what I was meaning was do abandoned games also count towards the ‘cut off’ points (ie 19 games and 32 games) It would be harsh if a player got a suspension for picking up a card in what is deemed game 19 (because abandonments don’t count) when it was really game 19 + bits of two others. Does that make any sense??
  15. I wonder if the abandoned games count towards the suspension thresholds. It would be unfair if they didn’t.
  16. Add it to the list of things you know because of the Venkys.
  17. Being unable to fulfil a fixture is punishable by the EFL. We’ve now been unable to fulfil two.
  18. The EFL should charge the club with the resulting disciplinary outcome being an order to invest in better drainage etc. They should make clear if we don’t and there’s another abandonment they’ll charge us again and this time there’d be a points deduction.
