It's a decent effort i reckon and it's not like it's free isn't it £55 a pop ? I suppose they have to do the mosque visits as well for prayer purposes as i doubt Watfords away end has those facilities. Hope they fill the coach and i doubt it'll put a dent in the ticket availability. -

He could bore me into the Prem anytime he wants, the brand we have now is dire in it's own way and about 50% as effective. -

I think Pears would be a decent loan keeper for someone so i'm surprised if nothing happens there. -

Isn't it strange how things aren't actually as some would like others to believe. -

What do we create ? Can't really judge Vale on chances converted because we create very little although he does look very much like just another water carrier modern day forward. There's more flair in Sunday league than seen in the Championship at times. -

Surely there must be someone with a bit more scoring pedigree than Gelhardt out there ? For the money we are likely to contribute all we are doing is giving game time to another kid, someone else's. Could understand if we only have a few grand per week to give but iv'e seen double figures quoted for this lad. The obsession for youth shouldn't stretch to every loan as well surely. -

Hes never looked 100% fit to me since last year so i agree i reckon some niggles or something has really hampered him. I remember Mowbray used to say that he'd play with a broken foot if he could and at times they had to reel him in on the training ground. Also very much agree that the style of play now doesn't suit him one bit nor does imo playing alongside the powder puff Morton. -

So we've lined up a couple of long shot players or the A list as it was formerly known but they never come off so nowt new there. The B list usually gets in a decent loan or two but there doesn't seem to be one now so onto C where it's underwhelming just for the sake of it signings or untried youth from somewhere..... Nope doesn't look like there is one of those either these days. So 3 targets who might have made a difference but 2 were never happening because they don't want to come and the 3rd fell through because we couldn't loan one out first. Such sterling work so far by the much hyped new DoF and new look expanded recruitment mob. Money for old rope if you get on the Ewood payroll these days. -

Being able to bring 4 players in in Jan is a luxury not often afforded at Ewood under this ownership so enforced the point Mowbray was quite fortunate last season. Even more annoying he made a balls of it and it doesn't look like JDT will be so lucky. -
Yeah it might pay the rent on the training ground but it won't be going into the team so i really don't see the fuss anymore. Promotion is the only money maker we should be interested in and lets be honest here there is more chance of a day out at Wembley in the play offs than a cup final or semi for us. Plus that would also bring in a nice windfall so all the full focus should be on that. Anything else is a bonus, like a cup run with a raw side for example.
-
And there's just as much chance of another bum tie and there are no more guarantees of a win with a full side. We rotate that much it really doesn't make much difference anyway but i'd much rather keep the better players safe. We can still get a plumb tie if the second string win.

I'd prefer it to be a local derby v Blackpool with a decent crowd and atmosphere with 3 points at stake. Winnable game though but i'd be turning out the youngest team again let them get the experience and hopefully gel. I think some might have been stung by the Forest game though and our football is poor at the best of times so about 6k home fans i reckon. They are putting on free coaches and bringing thousands so again the fat controller will be happy when he presents a 10k crowd figure to Pune.

What's tinfoil about pointing out what is actually happening ? Why do people throw out that stupid line when there is no foundation for it, if you can't debate it don't comment. Tell us where you see they are actually bothered about anything other than running it as it is and losing 15 million in loose change per year from their billion dollar empire. -
We'd certainly sell 15k at that price and it would be fantastic but all these lot do is see it decline and cover that by upping the price. If you want serious re-engagement without serious on pitch investment to prick interest again or a promotion then a radical one off ST deal is the only way to do it. Either Vs won't agree or those at the club cannot be bothered pitching it to them but as we've said they get paid the same regardless. So why would the be arsed doubling their workload and everybody on matchday when it's easier and cheaper to cater for the minimum in home sections. The prospect of Burnley maybe sealing promotion at Ewood in March and the away fans and corporate opportunities that can potentially draw in Waggot with in heaven.

After giving up with the website years ago because there was always hassle after it changed to the generic championship style i decided to give it another go recently. I won't bother again it's the most infuriating garbage iv'e ever come across for a process that should be so simple like ordering a ticket.

It's almost like they don't care. Sell players and fans demand money spent and team improved. Then if they do that fans expect a real promotion challenge. Otherwise don't sell, can't spend much, don't expect anything other than project talk and hide behind the skint excuse because we don't get big crowds etc. = blame the fans. -

I'd say the overall football abilities of Gallagher and Ward could be classed as very similar and certainly not in the 'good' bracket. Both worked hard though and i'd say Ward was more physical but the chances he missed, miss controlled were ridiculous at times. Gally though has never really played in that central position as a proper centre forward so hard to judge if he'd be any better. Blake was a better finisher than the pair of them but sadly lacking in every other dept especially the graft. -
Squeeze what you have is his mantra and always was so he's only working to type and we'll see more price rises in summer and more not buying a full ST. It seems his target is like 9k fans paying as much as possible plus away followings and a cup runs to hit his projections. He gets paid regardless so he won't give a stuff and one day he'll be hitting those targets. Getting more money in for less Pune will love him probably think he's a genius. Meanwhile all other local clubs have taken action to redress the damage lockdown did to their fanbases.

But is he the best man to operate within those parameters ? I'd say no but then we have to take into account his previous at shrinking, struggling downgrading clubs like Coventry and Charlton. Then many might say that's exactly why he's here although our failure to ever really kick on under him on or off the park has to be linked in some way surely. Even if he's only part of the problem it's still an area that could be improved upon. -

It was well trumpeted at the time by our own CEO that they'd spent big money on potential and it was balanced by low wages. He was 19 ? and came from Nottingham Forest that's why there was the famous 'flex' approach. -

In just a few mins on my twitter timeline tonight iv'e seen Wolves fans bemoaning other Wolves fans bemoaning everyone about their club. Other Wolves fans bemoaning those fans moaning, Sheff Weds doing exactly the same and Pompey fans writing off their new manager before hes begun. -

We spent several million on players in summer an have a 7 million purchase rated at 15 million (if under contract). a 5 million forward ( won't mention the rating on that one) a fit again Dack and numerous good young players to rotate around. Many clubs in this league would love what we have right now and bit of chest beating and a pair of bollocks wouldn't go amiss sometimes. Could be just what's missing, if we are doing it a different way we won't do it with no aggression or aggressive ambitious thinking. Attitude shouldn't cost money and excuse making should be left at home. This budget talk always gets an airing whenever there is a dip in form like it's somehow unique to Rovers or BRFCS. We aren't loaded but we are far from paupers.
