It's good enough to get itself into good positions in the table and it's good enough (Pre PNE) to be winning the majority of its home games. How good do you need to be to draw at places like Sunderland when being comfortable in the game ? Some would argue those doing the meddling aren't good enough either and perhaps that is where a lot of the inconsistencies lie. Got the calls all wrong v Burnley & Preston, got them right at Norwich - cup game will leave that one of you expect a lot of changes and maybe experiments. Then today it looks ok, not great but ok until calls are made and we then lose again. -

I'm sure i heard a commentator at one point saying Blackburn are third and Sunderland are 3 off the play off spots yet there seems a lack of intent, or words to that effect. Perfectly sums up both managers though because Sunderland deserved nothing more than a point either. -

You wouldn't think so the way the commentators bigged him up all afternoon it's almost as if he belongs to a media darling club ! He should have been off today our midfield should always start with two of our own unless there is someone head and shoulders above them here on loan, there isn't. -

Agreed, thought Dack worked hard today proved his fitness and there was no need to take him off. Morton no surprise he is useless on anything other than set pieces, Buckley in and out some decent stuff and some poor takin g too much time on the ball. Diaz and Gallagher piss poor that forward line should be one of the best in this division but have to say we again have a coach with no idea how to utilize it. For most of that game Sunderland were there for the taking. -

We know what we are up against here with a Mowbray side usually non existent one half and good the other. First halves were often the no show ones so if we can start well and get that first goal anything can happen. Sit back and invite pressure faffing at the back we could see another Burnley style result and performance. Get into em, COYB. -

Well the tea and biscuits were always good here and Steve's coffee was real soothing but now i'm captaining a huge tanker i get revels everyday me. Sounds good it's alright for some, since i arrived iv'e had to bring a flask and buy a danish pastry from Levers. Steve and Gregg spend a lot of time sat around Harrods hampers in his office though. I'm thinking if i sell you Dack in January i might get a piece of that luxury action as well ! -
JDT made a point of highlighting the lack of striking options we had when he came in so it's a bit surprising he didn't get them to push the boat out in finding somebody with a bit of scoring pedigree. The response was Hirst and Szmodics who to all intents and purposes operates as a defensive forward or forward midfielder. Dack wasn't in the picture so where did they think we'd increase our goal column particularly with the slow dawdling at the back style he keeps trying to implement.

Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

When we finished 8th last season and spent about a 3rd of it in the top 6 then the only sane thing to do is prioritise building on that. Especially when there is a bit of a budget to help replace those who left and we have largely still retained the best players. It seems though they just want to hit the rest button and ignore that in favour of setting our stall out for more years of water treading. I keep hearing JDT is an ambitious young manager ? Well establishing our set up in the top 6 in the Championship or getting to the play offs is a good feather in his cap. promotion would be a great look on the CV. So why kick the can down the road when there is an opportunity to flick it up and volley it straight into the bin. -

Any manager who comes out with performances over results and individual player development over building a top 6 team ought to be fired on the spot. -

He'll end up losing them as much as Rovers if they persist investing in him but then again some might say that suites them. -

Just watch a few goal highlights vids of our previous treks up there and quite often there are empty seats all over the gaff. Now there'd probably still be 25-30k on so do they ever get stick for 15k empty seats ? Well no but again pound 4 pound it's like us getting 10k, do we get stick ? Well yes relentlessly. -
No criticism it's just daft - on both sides - when there are bans for a bit of name calling under provocation. Obviously not the case here.

Brilliant effort and another great day and bigger away following ruined by tv. Us taking that many up there is like them bringing 4k+ down here pro rata, now if that happened there'd be willy waving all over the place. All we'll hear is 'Blackburn haven't sold out' !!! Anyway i hope the team and JDT in particular pull their fingers out and show some intent instead of another project experiment. Fans deserve at least that. -

hitlab which Vs appear to be funding through VLL is a venture of Balaji's pal Akon as far as i can see. Second time they've bunged a few quid that way on VLLs books. Iv'e often wondered what is hidden in Rovers books and wage bill as well. -

It is pal iv'e been doing some checking. -
As you probably know i'm not easily offended and prefer to let people fight their own battles but if he shot himself in the foot then fair enough. Iv'e no idea what a 'Taig' is anyway but i do seem to recall he was a fan of one of the Scottish sides as well so presume it was borne out of that. Shame because he was a good source of info on certain stuff.

It's the development line though, Mowbray did similar but his favourite was clearly playing players out of position to try and let them get to grips with their weaknesses. Again often spoiling the team instead of concentrating on moulding a side around as many players strengths as possible. Points and league position didn't matter he publicly stated as much on numerous occasions once the heat began to turn up on him. Nowts changed we now just have a development coach who thinks his style is teaching players to be more comfortable on the ball, instead of trying to get a well oiled machine with making the best of what he has. So annoying but how do you blame them if this is the idea they've sold to the owners or have been asked to implement by the middlemen. -
DunnFc was a good poster and had some decent insider knowledge and a good grasp the venky dealings non football related in this country. I know for a fact he wasn't a bluffer but seems he got hounded off here by the anti conspiracy mob or banned for something or other (probably not much) Shame because like a few others who've disappeared in recent times he brought something a bit different to the party.

The Riverside is always closed for these games they weren't staring at it v Hartlepool. Scott Wharton scored a good goal but was otherwise absolutely dire and you are a bit of a wum constant supporter digs in your posts. there's nothing worse than our own so called fans or people at the club who have no idea of our fanbase. -

Supporters back ? It's an away game on boxing day 2.5 hrs away with a lunchtime kick off and on live tv for gawds sake. How many supporters do you expect ? Anything over 600 is a good effort and as for 'few' on Weds night it was near enough a league turnout for a midweek game in the home sections. -
January Transfer Window.

Picking up 2nd balls from knockdowns and clearances then a quick short pass, pressing at getting in faces in the middle and putting tackles in that's what Travis is all about. He's another player Allardyce would've moulded into a real asset but present day thinkers don't know what to do with a guy like that. He's a bread and butter British style player who'll never adapt to the continental laid back approach and he isn't alone. -

Agree with this Travis is one of those who is only good at one job but when he's in his groove he's very good at it. When he first broke through he looked like an all action midfielder who liked to get forwards but that didn't suit Mowbray. They then tried to turn him into a Corry Evans but he was never going to suit that role. Come a few months into last season and we see a more in your face style for a few months and he was excellent finally in his element. Now when he plays with Mortan not only is he struggling with JDTs possession on the edge of our own box style he also at times is trying to do the graft of two men in there.
