  1. Not sure ours would be that much better if we are being honest.
  2. Somehow i think the referees report won't tally with what is coming out from Rovers end. He probably wondered why the pitch wasn't actually cleared in decent time. As usual Rovers have no culpability in anything when it goes wrong that seems the mentality around the whole club. That pitch could and should have been cleared a lot quicker how many people were stood around with their hands in their pockets ? Possibly then the clown in the middle could have delayed kick off whilst the got the water hogs on for half an hour. I refuse to believe it was worse than prior to the PNE game, where it then continued to bucket down throughout.
  3. Really is something when it comes down to if the ref fancies it or not. If there were no doubts at 12.30 there shouldn't have been any at 1.4. Quite simply somebody should have shown a pair of balls one way or another by 1pm and stuck to it.
  4. Shambolic EFL officials and Blackburn Rovers hierarchy regularly get invited on brewery and distillery tours. Owners of these establishments safe in the knowledge there'll never be a chance of a piss up. Gutted as i really thought we'd get something today and fully expect all results to go against us.
  5. 2 thousand walk ups plus Millwall plus any they might bus in for the BBE upper. Might hit 13.5k
  6. I once played football with a tubigrip on my knee on a lump of mud in the wind rain and horizontal hail....and still made it to the pub 💪🏻
  7. Iv'e gone to wok the next day with plenty football related injuries but i'm not on 10k pwk and treated like a thoroughbred racehorse. This is a potential 20 million pound full time footballer we are talking about here so whatever they are doing they are doing for the right reasons. You know what it's like these days a twisted ankle will get more treatment now than a broken toe did ten years ago.
  8. Keeping weight off it is standard practice i think and maybe those boots are compression. Keep the swelling down but yes either way he'll be missing a few games for sure. Not rocket science to think something like this would happen however it is rocket science trying to replace his goals without another regular scorer in the entire club. Seems we are only allowed one at a time at Ewood these days, got to keep a place available for big Sam !
  9. They won't have wanted it to interfere with half ST sales i suppose. Just like now they don't want a one off ticket price cheaper than standard matchday. Understandable in a way but never ever going to be a big success in the middle of Feb.
  10. 500 ? That's probably the amount of regulars Waggot lost in moving the family stand and closing the DE in the first place. There may have been a few more if we;d been winning but since the nerves set in it was always going to be difficult to shift a lot. £10 or 15 per ticket for one game was always the only way to go to get over a thousand in there although they probably would've had to offer Millwall the same. Would it really have done any harm though if they'd just given them a small allocation ? Hopefully there's a late surge of another 500, it's entirely possible there might be.
  11. I think they could have found a striker from somewhere in the loan market if they really really wanted to. Just don't think they did they've put all their eggs into the BBD plus help from others basket.
  12. Gallagher has been played wide for so long it's no wonder he doesn't have the knack of a target man. I think he was signed as a wide forward anyway so no amount of wishing on the fans part is going to turn him into Danny Graham. He should be used as a sub and come on centrally to attack balls whipped in when we are chasing games or a winner. He earns his corn coming on defending from the front and putting it about when we are trying to see out games to be fair. Starting with him though is often a lost cause and gives the team no balance going forwards. Yet it is something Mowbray has continued and will continue to do because he tries to justify it.
  13. As usual it's just a shot in the dark they haven't given it enough thought, have they now just employed somebody to come up with these ideas ? It's a good deal especially when you look at the prices for younger people but it was never going to get big numbers in the DE. You need cheap one off deals to get 2 or 3 thousand extra in there. That's a proven fact as is bundles don't work so sadly i think this will fall a bit flat. A shame but not a surprise at all however if they get a thousand plus in half the DE lower fair play. Absolutely pointless if they are scattered all across the expanse of 5k seats.
  14. It's something we've moaned about on here for years so now we have it we should be thankful because we aren't really a defensive team. This system and these defenders give the team a good platform to attack he just needs to get the blend right at the front now.
  15. I can't believe i'm reading this after the last few seasons when the main problem was messing around with systems and rotating according to opposition. Countless times the guy reporting for the local press got ten mins into an away game and still couldn't tell everyone who was playing where, nor was the formation actually was. Yes we need a plan B but most of the success this season has come from having a system that suits and sticking to it. What we really needed was another good goalscoring forward. For me though he needs to start with square pegs in square holes and shame thing up from the bench when needed. The use of subs recently has seen us back to predictable like for like changes and getting people on for the sake of it. There's nothing inventive about chucking Gallagher on on 60 mins and just hoping or throwing Hedges on as right wing back with not long left. That needs to improve.
  16. Qpr never have up here but Millwall have had a thousand plus plenty times in the last decade. I can see a few making the trek to make that awful howl they come out with.
  17. I think it's a result that stops the death spiral hopefully. Defend like that again Saturday and we'll get chances at the other end surely a goal or two is coming.
  18. The key to everything is scoring first and the earlier the better, For the best chance of this you need the best goal threats and creators on the pitch. GIles looks a good player, a lot of attacking is now coming through him but to date hes created nothing. We need to go back to what was working and also have that impact stuff available from the bench.
  19. Used as he should be Gallagher can contribute and help this team. Used as Mowbray wants to use him he's more of a hinderence. This one is on the manager more than the player.
  20. He did but then they tied to turn him into an apprentice Corry Evans which was never going to work. This season hes looked more like his old self but it seems hes been doing that much muck and bullets the other side of his game has suffered. If we played a different system you could maybe have Buckley with him as a poor mans Tugay and Savage. Not sure that works with the rest of this team though.
  21. I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who can't grasp how much better Travis is than Lowe was. When you're looking for any available stick to beat with though.
