  1. If you have an 1875 membership and qualify for ticket discounts match by match does it work out much different ?
  2. That hasn't answered anything at all it's what all players throw out as a standard line he's hardly going to say he angry is he, not that he is but i'd imagine he wants to keep himself involved.
  3. It's a one nil win that's all that maters, screw the entertainment value we've had plenty this season and there'll be plenty more but that was an important three points on the board !
  4. Going a bit more defensive was always on the cards when losing the first choice keeper and after all we know TMs preferred style is to stop the opposition and react to them rather than take it to them. To be fair he opens things up in games quite often but not sure he's blessed with enough options this time so expect the standard subs. 1 - 1 looking a good bet !
  5. The rot is finally setting in.......
  6. So if they found a couple of other young prospects for a more sensible 2 million or so each the till would've remained shut ? Sorry I don't get that thinking at all, especially when you are trying to build a fresh squad. More like hey so it's 7 million but get him 50 appearances and he gets a few goals and i'll move him on quick for you for at least double the money I've already got big clubs monitoring him- was the sweet talk that swung it !!!
  7. So when we are actually a spending club the model has gone from throwing obscene wages and long contracts at Prem has beens to chucking big money at young championship maybes..... We need to be somewhere in the middle to be honest, whenever they've spent around a million on a player under this lot it's often tended to work out ok.
  8. 'Touch and go with work' That unsurprisingly in an area like this is an issue for a lot of potential walk on fans.
  9. Another thing I touched on the other day, he's 19 so taking him out of the front line now and again and letting him play upfront with the U23s wouldn't do any harm at all and a goal or two would do his confidence good. His agent wouldn't be happy though as I doubt there's much appearance money on offer at that level !
  10. I think I've said before Mowbray will throw him on there when we least expect it and I think he will at some point he's just waiting for what he thinks is the right moment or it may even take something to force his hand when there are no other options. Personally I think there have been a few good opportunities to do so but then again i'm not the boss.....I should be but i'm not !
  11. I was thinking Bennett was the best RB at the club after the Leeds game although I didn't see Sheff U live and since he's been a bit ropey there. I agree as mentioned above the guy is a brilliant utility player, competent in his natural position of course but seems to relish being moved around the team and turns in his best performances when he pops up as a one off in an alternative position.
  12. They've dived in an bought a young player they've probably liked the look of for a while because all of a sudden they got permission to do so after he unexpectedly became available, god knows how but we can take a few guesses at that. They probably didn't really have a role for him in mind straight off so now they are trying to develop him and see what he has I think it's all as simple as that. Don't think it's dodgy as in the past but maybe a bit of a knee jerk signing and those who advise etc have probably screwed it as much as they can because our owners were suddenly in one of their generous moods after being pleased with promotion. He needs time but I suppose if you were Joe Nuttall whose no great shakes but can sniff a goal out you'd be a bit miffed to see this lad keep getting on in front of you just because he cost silly money.
  13. Remember the Wigan game under Souness in the cup and all that side stand but there was a lot netted off along the front but still 5k+ in there. Strange really how Wigan don't allocate that stand to away fans anymore i'm sure a few would have a good stab at filling it. Good job they don't have Cheston & Waggot in charge or else.............
  14. We've sold out Bolton a few times over the last ten years but the allocation has varied anywhere between 3.5 and 4.5 as they always leave segregation at one side in the lower. Similar Wigan used to be over 5k but was cut down. Apart from this season at Bolton bizarrely.
  15. Didn't Wigan get the full 4k plus but Rovers for some reason got a few less ?
  16. Not often I agree with chaddy but in this instance i'll be happy to make an exception ...... Andy Todds aggression ? ? Ginolas poncy hair ? Yeah I could well see that.......
  17. Probably Wigan in Hughes time although they did cut the allocation back a bit after that for some reason and we've had a few sell outs there and Bolton so there's been the probability of a few that were not possible due to lack of enough allocation.
  18. I don't think anyone is thinking we've broke the wage structure with him, time will tell on the crap bit and the last bit well......
  19. Which is why I raised the eyebrows at his alleged 600k house buying considering the likes of Hanley and a few others lived on Buckshaw in much more modest type properties worth about a third of that or less. a 10% signing on fee of a deal worth 6/7 mill would be enough to buy that of course and be a sensible investment but we are told that the deal is only potentially that all in with not yet triggered add ons. If he's buying that type of gaff at age 19 and not a Prem player common sense suggests he's on a very good contract indeed unless it was a sweetener as part of the deal to get him or he has very wealthy family.
  20. It looks like we paid that anyway !
  21. I was hoping a structured fee and a smallish wage to start with because he's young might have been the catalyst for Rovers to take a punt. Forest were looking to sell at the end of the day.
  22. He isn't an established Championship player and he's 19 so to my mind he should be on about 4 or 5 grand per week to start with. 10k plus pwk IF he's on that is pissing money down the pipes again.
  23. Not when he's buying 600k houses he isn't .... I was thinking he'd be on a very modest wage to start with but if they've thrown money at him to get him here then we are going around in the same circles again i'm afraid.
  24. There was no passive aggression in that you just chose to perceive it that way, kind of ironic after what you've been preaching don't you think ?
