  1. The few chances he did get, Davenport did not really impress.
  2. True, but better than blind pessimism considering we don't have a clue who the manager will be or whether players like Lenihan, Nyambe and Brereton, may still be here.
  3. Johnson and Davenport have done nothing this season, I don't think they will be missed.
  4. I doubt we will be anywhere near relegation. I expect us to be at least challenging for the play-offs.
  5. I would say, one midfielder who puts himself about. If there are injuries, they could be covered from the U23s. My midfield would be : Travis, Buckley , incoming Physical defensive midfielder.
  6. I personnally don't think he is ready yet. But it is an option we have, that will cost nothing. He will eventually be ready for first team football, let's hope it's with the Rovers.
  7. Or take a punt on Adam Wharton in the midfield 3. Loads of energy (although you wouldn't think it to look at him ), reads the game really well and picks simple, correct passes.
  8. Lets not go round in circles, you don't think at the moment he is good enough as cover at right-back. I think he is, each are entitled their opinions. End of debate.
  9. In that case who would you have at back-up right full-back ?
  10. He isn't a replacement for Nyambe. He is a back up right full-back
  11. Brown looked assured at U23s level. He looked ok at first team, not under pressure level. I think he will be OK at first team level. Let's give him a chance. I would say he is a defending full-back, he won't be bombing on creating attacks.
  12. That sounds like Alex Ferguson when he was potted by St Mirren and went to Aberdeen
  13. To those subs I would add Adam Wharton, Jake Batty, Cirino, and the greek keeper before Pears.
  14. With reference to Phillips do we need the money (which is unlikely to be reinvested), or do we need the player ? I hope we go for the latter.
  15. I don't know where Rothwell will end up. He is not a premier league standard player on a regular enough basis, but he is to much of a luxury to have in a team battling for promotion. He would be ideal in a team strolling promotion, like Fulham did this season.
  16. As long as it isn't at Ewood, i don't care where he gets a job.
