  1. Which is nearer to Tees-side, Edinburgh or Blackburn ? So much for family/life balance.
  2. But that has no bearing whatsoever on the two youngsters that are said to be leaving.
  3. From what I have seen of Brennan this season, he would not have progressed at the Rovers, so maybe best all round. Ferguson much the same.
  4. I don't agree with the class of 92 quote, but I think, Jack Vale, Adam Wharton, Jake Batty and Ash Phillips have a good chance of making the first team, eventually.
  5. He also took the penalty confidently.
  6. Personally I think for Vale to be in the team against Birmingham, he has to be either be a straight replacement for Gallagher, or we change our system and have two central strikers, Vale and Gallagher, I would prefer the second option.
  7. He had a better second half than the first, although he did score two well finished goals in the first half. Both second half goals coming from our wide left players taking on the right-back in dangerous areas. I don't see who Vale would replace except Gally. If I was going to start any youngsters, it would be in place of departing loanees/contract rebels. Adam Wharton for Rothwell, Barnes for Van Hecke, Brown for Nyambe.
  8. Rovers win 4-3 Vale scores all 4. Not a great team performance, but showed good spirit to come from behind twice. Chelsea could have had the game wrapped up with the headed chances they missed. We looked poor in the air at the back, something that needs working on.
  9. He came on as a late sub in the last two U23s games.
  10. Burns is ideal in a high-pressing team, he is fast and aggressive. A replacement for Khadra, he hasn't got as many tricks as Khadra, but he knows where the goal is.
  11. Because Mowbray won't be in charge. Of the players you mention, I would say only Van Hecke is a major loss.
  12. Get down to Ewood tomorrow the U23s take on Chelsea. No pressure on the Rovers, Chelsea could do with a win to try to avoid relegation.
