From what I have seen of Markanday with our U21's, he is not a great dribbler. What he has got is a good shot. In my opinion he needs to be played centrally, which would not suit the way the Rovers play at the moment.Szmodic is far better in that position. Things may change in the future, you never know.

For the slightly older reader, Adam Wharton could be our Colin Bell.
-
Even for the U21's Wharton has always looked more impressive in a deeper midfield role.

But our league position and points tally has got worse. I once got an award for being the most improved player of the season. All that meant was that I was shit to start with and got to be less shit. -
Pears/ Kaminski.. summer plans?

So Pears it would seem does not instill confidence into his defenders -
Similarly with Vale, not good enough yet, but may make it in the future. Walker is quite physical, if he can learn to use that, he could become a reasonable player. He might even become a championship level player.

To get a place on the journey.

I was one of the "faithful few" as the Blackburn end used to sing. And to me the clubs I mentioned seemed bigger than the Rovers, to me.
-
When I was growing up, Luton, Burnley, Brighton and Fulham were bigger clubs than the Rovers.

Very few successful teams get rid of their best keeper. The team is number one. -

Just not by rail. -
A lot of people are saying that Coventry robbed our spot in the play-offs. There is nothing to say, that even if we had held on to a win against Coventry, that we would have beaten Millwall. All ifs and buts. The one thing that is a fact, is that it was the Rovers who didn't get enough points over the season.

Not unless it's "Sold down the river".

Not for the young lads whose footballing futures are on the line.

It's the sense of humour (or lack of) that gets them, everytime.
-
But it did not mean that every friendly, was dependant on relegation or promotion. Just that any games would not be announced until all games were agreed.

He's gone, close the thread.

So they could be one of the pre-season friendlies.
