Personally I would like to know if the ref called it off due to the pitch being waterlogged, and if this was the case, was that due to bad drainage. If bad drainage is the fault and it was previously known about, then it is down to the club. A danger to the players is not a reason, it is an outcome.

No, what I am saying is the only person who's decision matters is the refs, as he is the one who has been tasked to make the decision. What needs clarifying, are his reasons for calling off the game and what factors lead to these reasons.

Just because games have been played on worse surfaces doesn't make it right. If the ref thinks it is the right decision to call off the game. Then it is the right decision, as it's his decision. It would be nice for the ref to give a statement, as to why he came to his decision.
