  1. Because he has flatly refused to give a refund or any other concession for an inferior replacement product that some people either didn't want or couldn't access.
  2. Sorry my friend it was somebody else who said those things - I got your comments confused with theirs.
  3. Your term 'Lancastrians' was a generalisation, perhaps you should be more specific. I have been critical of many Rovers players over many years but critical of aspects of their play, not them as people. Anybody in the public eye is open to criticism, it goes with the territory and the majority accept that but going back to your original post Rovers fans as a collective are categorically no better or worse than supporters anywhere. To say otherwise is simply not true.
  4. Are you including yourself as a Lancastrian? Have you never seen Mowbray with his hands on his head after one of his players has made a mistake. Now that is a public condemnation of a player. With the benefit or having refereed on around 86 professional grounds in the country I can say that Rovers fans are no worse than anywhere else. It really grates when Rovers fans are critical of each other, often without foundation.
  5. Against Forest I thought the lack of a press and any intensity was the marked difference and whilst there were changes I thought Mowbray factored this into his tactics. As a result we looked flat and certainly played too deep. Just looking at the recently promoted clubs out of the Championship they had a defined system and way of playing, hardly ever deviating from this. It's an area of weakness in Mowbray in my opinion. He has been critical of himself several times for over thinking things.
  6. There are several teams in the Championship who are happy to let their opponents have the majority of possession in certain areas and then squeeze play when they advance. I remember in the October of our promotion season when we had a few home draws despite dominating all the statistics. Mowbray said after one of these that we have to find a way of playing against and beating these teams. I don't believe that he has consistently found that way yet. For that reason I think he should just set us up to play exactly the way we have in most games this season. Intensity, high press and good shape has stood us in good stead so far so we should just impose that style on opponents in every game. These qualities were lacking for me against Forest and Cardiff and we allowed them to impose their defensive style on us.
  7. Football is an emotive subject and there are many opinions and views which will vary simply because we see things differently. And all these are opinions to which there is no right or wrong. The real downside in my view is when additional comments are added which are inflammatory and invariably take topics away from the thrust of the debate. Lots of people (myself included) are guilty of this. With things going well on the pitch maybe it's time for us all to evaluate our posting styles and disagree in a grown-up way.
  8. Bloody hell Paul that's some pedestal you put yourself on.
  9. A friend was at the game and Kaminski wanted to come off. He said he was actually walking off and Mowbray shouted at him to get back as we had made all our changes.
  10. At Millwall he said a lack of confidence. For the Wycombe game he said his numbers were high and that he felt JRC would get forward. As I said Nick I have no problem with tactical or off form droppings but Nyambe seems to be hard done to in my view. Mowbray made some recent noises about a new contract for him, I think the negotiations will be interesting.
  11. I don't have a problem with any changes if it's for the betterment of the team but the flimsy excuses used for dropping Nyambe are poor for me. If it's tactical then Mowbray should say so.
  12. I was using the facts that Mowbray was quoted as saying for the reasons behind Nyambe being dropped. It wasn't a conspiracy theory.
  13. I think he is too. Late last season he was left out for lacking confidence (although he miraculously regained it for the next game) and this season because 'his numbers were high' amongst other things. I know Nyambe was poor at Watford but so was Lehihan who has arguably been our worst defender this season. I actually called it on Wednesday that Nyambe would be dropped pretty much in the knowledge that Mowbray doesn't need too much of a reason to leave him out.
  14. Four changes today. JRC, Douglas, Trybull and Williams in for Nyambe, Bell, Evans and Ayala.
  15. I can think of lots of candidates from the Decade of Decay who could be used as the Guy. Or maybe the lot of them.
  16. There is a balance to be had in my view but if weakening the team and lessening the chance of winning because of a situation that was out of Grahams control seemed harsh. And lest we forget Dack was close to being jailed because of misdemeanours off the field, in fact Mowbray spoke for him in court. I can't be certain but I don't recall him being dropped because of it.
  17. As I recall many of his goals came because of his partnership with Graham which is borne out by your figures. My point was that I believe Mowbray has had his favourites in his time here. I spoke to a player at Hilton Park after a defeat at Aston Villa and put that point to him. His wry smile spoke volumes.
  18. I found it really interesting that he said Mowbray and Venus have conflicting views on how we play the game. I don't think I have ever heard of that before. Coyle is the clown 99.9% of us knew he was and his appointment cost the club millions. He speaks fondly of Lambert.
  19. ??? Thanks for posting this Ian. A great occasion for everybody connected to Rivers.
  20. I just caught the back end of a news report that said the Watford squad will be tested for Coronavirus after playing at Derby with Rooney potentially being infected.
  21. This hasn't gone away yet. There is some interesting stuff in the article including an American company who want to buy 20% of the EFL. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54587893
  22. Yes I heard the Gingerbread Man from down the M65 mention that. Just imagine though if Rovers get some financial help and we get promoted.............and that lot get relegated. It would bring a whole new definition to the Suicide Squad ??????.
  23. I haven't read anything about that. Is that historic or future income and expenditure?
  24. I don't think this is going to have a happy ending. I read yesterday that there is a real reluctance from most of the PL clubs to hand over any money to the Championship clubs. Probably the most common reason was that too many Championship clubs are in the predicament they are in because of poor management. Reading were cited as paying something like 175% of their income on wages alone. There are many others too who are living well beyond their means. Another reason was that lots of Championship clubs are owned by extremely wealthy people and it should be incumbent upon them to bail their own clubs out.
