  1. Quite and significant in light of the news on Morton.
  2. Tomasson quite rightly got plenty of pelters after his team selection and set up against that lot in their midden. Five/three at the back, inverted full backs/wing backs and Mola and not one player coming out with any credit. Significantly he hasn't made the same mistake since then. It was a horrible day and in truth it still rankles as a low point for me in a long, long time. That alone should act as motivation along with the prize of a playoff place and the pride of the club and its supporters. From the first minute we need to be in their arrogant faces, challenging like it's the last tackle you will ever make and not giving them an inch. We can play out part too by making as much noise as possible. Just remember Lie Tella and Harwood-Bellend how they celebrated like they had won the World Cup. Remember the drink driver with his interview when he referred to us as Bastards. Remember that lot singing "you're fucking shit" as the players and us fans trooped out. And take them thoughts to Ewood tomorrow night.
  3. Losing Morton is a real blow and leaves us short in a key area. I noticed that Tomasson name checked Edun in his interview so I expect him to at least be on the bench.
  4. The allocation is just under 2000 with the various phases listed too. I think you should get your tickets but he on the ball on Friday morning. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/april/19/ticket-news-millwall-v-rovers/
  5. Tottenham keep sacking managers but the dunderheads that appoint them stay in situ. Reading and listening to various media outlets yesterday the fans are finally getting it.
  6. Lock up your daughters 😂. Weren't you a Rovers follower in the '70's and '80's and if it wasn't on Sky would you just miss it altogether? I think your predictions above will go the same way as your results forecasts.
  7. For those who still believe 😁 Play-off schedule Championship Saturday, 13 May: Semi-final, first leg - 6th v 3rd (17:30 BST) Sunday, 14 May: Semi-final, first leg - 5th v 4th (12:00 BST) Tuesday, 16 May: Semi-final, second leg - 3rd v 6th (20:00 BST) Wednesday, 17 May: Semi-final, first leg - 4th v 5th (20:00 BST) Saturday, 27 May: Final (16:45 BST)
  8. And we have had (and still have) too many of those self serving egotistical types here.
  9. I think the weakness of Pears that you highlighted is also Kaminski's main weakness. In my view Pears has done little wrong, certainly nowhere near enough to be dropped.
  10. Man City youngsters were a joy to watch today and sometimes you just have to say the opponents were too good for you. There was no lack of effort from Rovers but City's passing, movement and touch was excellent - it was so easy on the eye. In fairness Sam Burns came on in the second half and was probably Rovers best player as he could have had a goal or two with his running in behind. Ayala looked a way off fitness yet and I'll be surprised if he features in the first team this season. Interestingly there was no Ash Phillips or Harry Leonard.
  11. How did we concede midfield? We ended with three midfielders just like we started with and Brereton dropping deeper. In the latter stages Hedges played as a striker.
  12. I generally agree but what can Wharton do about slipping and Hyam's block could have gone anywhere. I really don't get the mentality of it has to be someone to blame when the two players were clearly unlucky.
  13. According to quite a few posters pretty much every one of the last five have been must win, we haven't won and are still in with a good shout. Whatever the result I'm confident we will be going to Millwall with it all to play for.
  14. They have played two games since then too. Yesterday they were pretty much up to full strength and lost.
  15. Preston brought two attackers on in Woodburn and Delap so were essentially playing four forwards. They also put an attacking midfielder on in McCann too. Thomason had to combat that.
  16. That is pretty much what I was told which was almost a confirmation of what was reported in the media just after the January window.
  17. I think Tomasson has learned a lot this season and he seems to have adapted his style of play utilising the players we have. The Championship is notoriously difficult and Tomasson has had to learn on the hoof. It's easy to allow the frustrations of Coventry and Preston to cloud our judgement but I believe the green shoots are beginning to show and he needs backing properly in the Summer.
  18. If there has to be a scapegoat it certainly isn't any of the players or management for me. The biggest error of the season was not bringing a striker in during the January window. Step forward Broughton and his recruitment team. I think they have cost us more than anything else.
  19. I thought we were excellent in the second half and Tomasson deserves credit for his changes which really gave us some real impetus as we were by far the better side. It's hugely disappointing how the game finished but for me I don't think there was too much wrong today. We reacted so positively to the Coventry setback and we can do that again.
  20. Preston had an equally tough night at Swansea and conceded four, their manager red carded and a subsequent ban for one of their key defenders. Adrenaline should be enough to overcome tiredness for both teams. Sometimes it comes down to just wanting it more.
  21. What's not to like? A local derby, sell out crowd, 5000 Rovers fans and all to play for. It certainly beats the dead rubbers we have endured so many times. And we owe them massively after the mauling they gave us at Ewood.
  22. The interview sounds to me like he is maturing fast. It's easy to forget he is 18, when I was that age I wouldn't listen to advice from my peers. Hopefully Adam is now heeding the advice and we get the polished diamond we all know he can be.
  23. Surely he would need two tickets. People like him wouldn't be allowed on without a carer.
