The perspective I meant was how much the Leeds team cost against ours. They have parachute payments and in August could afford to turn down a near £19m offer for Gnonto. I thought we played well today and against a lesser team would have won. Leeds are a good side with pace in their front three which was one of the reasons they beat us in my opinion. We played some good stuff with Adam Wharton as the fulcrum of these moments as we matched them for long periods. We seem to be punished for mistakes at the moment and a sloppy pass from Tronstad gave them the ball and Hill should have done better. From my position we should have had a clear penalty for a foul on Garrett and the well positioned referee quickly turned it down, far too quick in my view. Why on earth would Garrett to down when he is about to shoot? I couldn't see the handball from my seat but the players were vociferous in their protests. For some perspective they bring two substitutes on who they paid £25m for. We have on our bench kids with single digit or no first team appearances.

I seem to recall Waggott boasting to the Fans Forum that he had exceeded his financial target with regard to ticket sales. If that is true then he has a financial target to meet rather than a number of season tickets sold. Surely if he wanted to increase the fan base he would be more creative on the pricing and try and attract greater numbers. In my view it's the low hanging fruit again, a malaise that has infected our club and is being allowed to fester.

It's a real dilemma that is emerging for them. I understand he is the top paid player and invoking the extra year will give him another increase. By not offering the extra year he will potentially walk for nothing and whilst some might not agree he does have some value. His injury just compounds all this. If he is to be sold it really has to be in January but who will pay money for him when there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel regarding his injury. The decision needs to be made soon.
