  1. Better than Walton but not as good as Smallwood.
  2. I'd have no reservations whatsoever about going to a game as normal but I won't be attending if you have to jump through hoops or wear a mask once you get to a game next season. In much the same way unless I need food to avoid starving, I won't be visiting any shops on principle if you're forced to wear a mask in the interim. I would probably renew anyway but not bother attending under the above conditions. Most probably wouldn't and Waggott probably faces a huge battle to prevent renewals falling off a cliff next season. As men of principle I trust him and Mowbray will take take cuts in pay commensurate with our drop in income.
  3. I'd be delighted if we had to promote young players. You can bet your bottom dollar though that the only reason Mowbray is hoping for a decent budget is so that he can hand out new deals to the out of contract players whereas in reality Downing is the only one who should possibly be under consideration. And even he with the best will in the world isn't of the quality now that would get us promoted, but hopefully would be a solid squad option for twelve more months.
  4. Such high hopes TM hasn't selected him for two seasons, injuries notwithstanding.
  5. Absolutely. I presumed that was what occurred as a matter of course. Unless there is an EFL directive saying all away sides currently have to travel on the day of the game I think it's extremely unprofessional to do so.
  6. Agree completely. However whilst I'm all for a good meaty challenge the BB incident had nothing to do with that. Irritated at being fouled by one player he took a big swipe at another with the ball not even in the same postcode.
  7. Spot on. Absolutely indefensible from BB imo. That said, he had been showing some promise before his inexplicable rush of blood and having taken his imo fully justified punishment I hope he is drafted back into the side. I do however fear that if Mowbray treats him like he did Travis after a sending off that could be the end of him at Ewood. The latter player was never seen after his indiscretion and only reappeared immediately before the transfer window after Mowbray had talked about sending him out on loan. Fortunately for us long term Smallwood got himself sent off in that game and the rest is history. BB might not get a similar slice of good fortune.
  8. "I've never been one to keep the same team" We noticed, and that's one of a number of reasons why Mowbray will never be successful here. (He said, hoping for three wins on the bounce and to end up with egg on his face, but not expecting it.)
  9. "The long journey down to London?" What on earth is he on about? We don't travel down on the day of the game do we?
  10. I always thought Hart was the worst keeper on the planet. Granted Mowbray has surpassed even that with this dolloper from Brighton but even so there's no way whatsoever we should be touching Hart with a barge pole on large wages imo.
  11. Don't really understand why your expectations for us are so low Parson. It's been another desperately disappointing season in my book.
  12. You'd have taken four points from Cardiff and West Brom all day long. Makes the failures to show up against Wigan, Barnsley and Leeds all the more inexcusable.
  13. To be fair Lenihan was the one being out of order there.
  14. And again........ Haven't a clue what Holtby was doing there. Should have shot first time then feeble effort from point blank range with the back heel.
  15. That should have been it for the smash and grab job. Has to score there. Delayed the shot a fraction too long.
  16. Both were red cards imo. How we're still in this god only knows. West Brom should have scored six. Might just be our day.
  17. Lol...... Always knew they'd work! ? The man's a tactical genius. ?
  18. Taking the piss with those subs. Bennett for Nyambe and Holtby for Armstrong.
  19. Sounding to me like it won't be worth the aggro and hassle of returning. I really don't understand what is happening in general, as the virus becomes less and less prevalent, restrictions are becoming more and more draconian. Leicester gets locked down again because a near negligible 1.4 people out of every thousand have the virus, and today we're getting the ridiculous suggestion that face masks might be made compulsory in shops where limited numbers and social distancing are already in force. I won't be bothering attending football on principle if it's made compulsory to wear a mask and I certainly don't fancy turning up three hours before either. Limited numbers with no other restrictions I could just about accept.
  20. Didn't see tonight's game but when I watch him normally I get the impression he's playing very much to instruction, and not to get too far advanced up the pitch. If he isn't, I agree it's something he can improve on.
  21. I agree completely Chadster. Imo we can't afford to lose ANY of Nyambe, Lenihan, Travis, Dack or Armstrong. Yet you yourself have conceded one or more will probably be sold to plug financial holes this summer, so who knows what will happen?
  22. Very good post. Arguably the inconsistency merely serves to underline why we need a new manager. They CAN do it when they want but the need a manager who demands higher standards and can drag those standards out of them on a more consistent basis.
