I think you're being very harsh on JH. No-one's banged on more than me about Ismael needing to be replaced but when I went to bed in the early hours of this morning I had no idea it was going to happen. I HOPED it was getting an increasingly odd look for Gestede and Pasha not to sack him but I didn't REALLY believe it would happen. IF Johnson came into the set up and kept us up and say went unbeaten for the rest of the season he'd give them a decision to make, Im not advocating it at this stage. Duff does seem highly rated in general, him and Johnson might be an interesting combination if they got on well when they were players. I have heard it suggested Johnson is a slightly odd character.

"Mutual termination" means you're being sacked but we're paying up your contract and phrasing it this way to salvage your reputation a bit and in return you can sign a NDA. IF Johnson came in and won the next 2-3 it would be stupid to get rid of him. Just dont say anything and wait until we're safe THEN either give him the job or bring someone else in. Johnson might surprise a few people, he seemed very highly rated a few years ago before Mowbray brought him into the first team set up and then seemingly completely marginalised him. Wouldn't mind the 2 Damien's Duff and Johnson.

Having looked at the list of candidates on oddschecker I have to say that most of them look completely unrealistic for varying reasons. On there Wagner and Bilic were joint favourites at 5/2. Of the slightly more realistic sounding alternatives I'd go for Rowett or Bilic personally.

Having helped to get one Head Coach sacked Im sure it'll only be a few weeks before he's mouthing off on social media about how much more enjoyable it is under the new bloke.

Not sure I agree. There was quantity but no quality whatsoever last January. Not saying this is any better, but I dont think it's significantly worse. (As things stand) Lot will depend on how the two lads up front shape and of course it's subject to them not flogging Alebiosu at the last minute.

He was allegedly Waggott's first choice to replace Mowbray wasn't he, but we weren't prepared to pay for him to bring his extensive coaching entourage with him. Can't really see that changing.
