  1. Excellent considering the scoreboard pressure.
  2. A mature test team a controlled accomplished performance vs a feeble side and meek acceptance that because most of this lot can’t play test cricket whack as many as you can before the inevitable.
  3. Rovers one place behind United.
  4. My first ever league away game which lead to the first person I hated. George Courtney. There were many in his stead Durkin, Ashby, Poll but he was the first. A couple of pens in 1994 but the damage was done.
  5. Apologies if it’s been covered but how come it’s been moved to Sunday if it’s not on tv?
  6. A cup run would be a very nice change of pace. Not won a solitary game in the FA cup since beating the mighty Crewe in 2017. The league cup has only been marginally better but still with first round defeats to Goliath’s morecambe, Shrewsbury, Scunthorpe and Carlisle. The last decent league cup run was when “forfeited” the quarter final at Cardiff 10 years ago under the porcine turd. The last decent fa cup run was when kept sticking it on shittu’s head for 90 mins at ewood. In theory beating an “inferior” Millwall at home meant a semi final Wembley outing vs Wigan (fair dos they beat citeh in the final) still not got over that one a great chance for an fa cup final.
  7. Far too many managers want to be a Poundland pep guardiola without the players or the billion pounds to buy the players required. Lord knows we’ve had one who dabbled in it. This Martin character is just another one.
  8. I don’t know anything about that manager but he would irritate the hell out of me if I was a Swansea fan. We have to find solutions to problems is his equivalent of we’re on journey. Delusional as well with his style of play being so effective, rovers let Swansea have the ball because they did fuck all with it and as for played in our third, at times it was, but mostly sideways passing not in our third.
  9. I used to watch the sitcom frasier. While this is a spoof, I’d defo watch it. 😂.
  10. Swansea 71% of utterly pointless possession.
  11. Watching Swansea play I’m having flashbacks to that mind numbing season where rovers decided pointless possession in our own half was the way to play.
  12. Fair few on considering it’s a workday and not every ball counts.
  13. Or worse still it might attract more people to watch rovers and then they will be panicking. More fans not on our watch
  14. Except Liverpool cc apparently. oh I see what you mean the deluge up there. Fact is shouldn’t have been there in the first place. They are only there because certain executives progeny go/went there.
  15. Match abandoned. That’s what happens when you schedule a game on a school playing field with no artificial drainage and the outfield unable to drain. Plus all the equipment back at cricket clubs across Lancashire. Its just an unfortunate irony probably could get a game on further south. I seem to say it all too often but hopefully the old school Yorkshire modern Cumbria school experiment is over.
  16. As it stands I think we need a left back to replace Pickering (Styles), 2 centre halves at least one permanent and realistically one on loan (hopefully van hecke), a right sided midfielder (bowler), minimum of one striker and 2 if/when sell Brereton. Not going to be easy but they inherited a big rebuilding job from their predecessor
  17. In my opinion it’ll be a temporary spike it always is. When England won the ashes in 2005 there was loads of interest in cricket from the non cricket public which largely tailed off. Same when England won the rugby World Cup in 2003 was it. Id wager the vast majority of new fans who watched the England women will already support the club equivalent of their men and so if people want to watch both 2 games a week is going to prove too much of a faff after the spike. Then for those clubs who don’t have women's teams I can’t see them getting their fix at another club. For eg, if bonleh don’t have a women’s team they’re not heading over to brig to watch rovers same for nob end.
  18. Morton fills a jersey. Might be good might be shite. I’m generally not a massive fan of loanees they’re either shite or if they’re good such as van hecke, Elliott, Tosin it’s achieved little other than a short term plugging of a hole for a season and puts you back at square one the following summer. That said if buy a lame duck like Pickering appears to be then stuck with them. Fortunately the academy is going through a purple patch and has answered a lot of questions for rovers.
  19. I enjoyed last night but for me it’s being tainted by the media pushing this “ending decades of hurt” narrative - it doesn’t in the slightest and won’t until England (mens) win a major competition. Just as it wouldn’t redeem Rovers if their ladies won the women’s prem and/or women's FA cup. I hope the women's team go on to dominate the field for years, but leave them to celebrate achievements within their respective field. If they’re still so desperate for comparisons with the mens league put them in the north west counties division two and see if they can get out of it.
  20. For some reason we can’t be good at both tests and ODIs. For reasons I don’t understand we were imperious at white ball cricket and crap in tests, we tried playing white ball cricket in red ball and unfathomably worked, for now. Currently we can’t play white ball cricket. The irony. “Moeen Ali is one of the most genuine cricketer I’ve ever seen.” What the hell does that mean. Is genuine one of these new bullshit terms like batter we’re all meant to adopt without question. He’s genuinely one of the worst players I’ve ever seen. I don’t know but I’d be genuinely shocked if he averages above 30 with the bat in any format and below 30 with the ball. But class beard as far as beards go.
  21. I’m sure Ali will do sod all. He never does. Then Mercenary one and Mercenary two playing together at old Trafford. Even seeing one of them is rarity.
  22. Really good win that for Lancs. Having got into an unlikely winning position yesterday it looked as though for all the money in the world Panicshire had reared their ugly head again yesterday evening and this morning once bohannon was out. But fair play to the cool heads of sundar and Williams. We’ll drum that out of them soon enough
  23. In the same week where we had literally the hottest day in this country since records began it would feel unnatural not to be sitting in Manchester in the pissing rain 3 days later.
  24. Don’t be daft. Why on earth would he need to be schmoozed by Swag to form an opinion on him. The only things the CEO needs to be judged by is how the football club is being run. Whatever he’s telling people is fine but the reality is the club is a total shit show. Or to put it another way we’ve listed many of Swags failings as CEO. What are the things he’s done well? How have rovers improved since his arrival not on what he’s said but what’s actually happened?
