  1. With the boxing analogy Mayweather won 100% of all his fights so it’s not quite the same. We’ve also lost 100% of the 8 games gone behind in so the tactics are still up for scrutiny. No one can dispute the positive position we find ourselves in but the concern will always be we’re awful about 50% of the time, sometimes it’s a case of a good team winning when the chips are down and others it’s a case of a shit team blagging results until the inevitable slump. To be honest I really don’t know which one we’ll be.
  2. As a side note the side jdt inherited (initially Mowbray’s fault, then swags fault and always the Venkys fault) was pretty shocking. To be in 2nd playing so badly is mind boggling.
  3. 8th clean sheet. 12 wins from 20 is so impressive but in most of those 8 other games and some of the 12 they’ve been worse than abysmal. It’s crackers. I’ve said a few times this season that 3 rank average teams will get promoted. I’m downgrading it to this season 3 shite teams will go up. I’m crossing everything that we are one of them.
  4. Still haven’t conceded an equaliser nor scored one.
  5. Put the costs on Coventry. Sounds to me like the only option is to forfeit if they can’t find a ground. If I were swag I’d refuse point blank to accommodate Coventrys problems to our potential detriment.
  6. I feel sorry for Coventry fans if all this nonsense is starting up again. That said both sets of fans need to be considered and if they can’t agree a venue by at the very least 24 hours before KO. Also sod postponing it, that will inconvenience us and give us a fixture pile up potentially affecting other games due to extra fixture fatigue. If they can’t find a suitable ground forfeit the fixture or play at ewood.
  7. I’ve been caught out numerous times booking train tickets, etc and games being called off or moved for nonsense reasons. Hull, Fulham I think it was when sky decided less than 3 weeks to go before ko decided to move it to Sunday, I seem to recall had a game rearranged in Yorkshire somewhere to a Friday night to make way for a jet skiing tournament or some nonsense. Then ones like Newport where called off due to weather last minute. The one thing they all have in common is never received a penny back for transport/accommodation. These days just end up booking stuff last minute and paying a premium. Fans mean nowt to the suits, never have done never will do. West ham will be the next one booked an hideously expensive train down. Just watch mick lynch decide they’re not working that day…
  8. I misread that headline as “questions as defender remains on the wing.” I initially thought its bloody Mowbray, of course there’s a defender on the wing. Wouldn’t surprise me if whoever he is returns as a false 9
  9. Pakistan are mirroring a classic Panicshire implosion.
  10. Priceless from the man who told us he never makes excuses. Could have done with his juggernaut to continue on its journey today and not break down half way again. He’ll be telling the Sunderland fans it’s not the Kevin Phillips era anymore. See how that goes down up there.
  11. He’s clearly still highly inspirational at half time.
  12. Must just be me then. Although defo seen us concede 4 twice and never seen us win there.
  13. It’s strange how some teams have the Indian sign over others. For inexplicable reasons we can buy a win at Wigan and I think someone said this lot have won once at ewood since 1952 in the league even though played plenty. Maybe it’s just my experience but can’t say we do that much at st Andrews.
  14. Watching the RL World Cup vs France at the reebok. I assume this is the first one playing as England rather than GB not that it’ll make any difference in quality I suspect. As far as the tournament as a spectacle goes it appears the old pecking order exists, in that Australia are head and shoulders above New Zealand, New Zealand head and shoulders above England and England head and shoulders above the rest. Just been told been playing as England for a good few decades. 🤣🤣🤣. I’m right on the pulse of rugby league developments.
  15. Fancy a little old car beating a juggernaut
  16. This man is out of his depth. He’ll no doubt get a very fair crack of the whip, particularly compared to most other professional clubs. Let’s hope another 5 years isn’t wasted on him
  17. The pattern says lose. Unfortunately from the loss, win, lose, win form going to lose to Wigan, Sunderland and bonleh. But will beat West Ham in the cup, nob end and beat Sunderland on Boxing Day.
  18. Does continuing the LWLWLWLWLW pattern take us to a W vs the dingles…
  19. In terms of how it made me feel personally. Palace v rovers 1989. I’m sure some of the older folk might think of wolves in 1960. It might be dismissed as regency bias with semi fresh wounds but no matter how old you are, how many games you’ve been to in terms of shitty performances I’m sorry but a 7-0 home defeat to bloody Fulham will take some beating for atrociousness in any era, for manager and any side.
  20. That catch is why they deserve to win this.
  21. FullSizeRender.MOV fairly empty opposite but alright elsewher considering.
  22. You’re right it’s very sad. Worse still Kent (a truck stop in Surrey) are properly out singing Lancs.
  23. They were shite 12 years ago and are still shite today. Every area of the club from players to manager, ground to ground staff, boardroom to fanbase, league position to reputation within the game, debt to turnover is significantly worse today than it was when they arrived to look after “their baby.” The cost of rovers to our regal owners is probably the equivalent cost of an annual unused gym membership to us mere mortals. Too little to be bothered to cancel it but just enough to remember it’s there. The club cannot move on until they bugger off and hopefully it’ll be one day soon
