Steele, raya, fisher, Henley, Greer, Williams, mulgrew, ward, nyambe, lenihan, brown, magliore, Wharton, Lowe, feeney, akpan, Guthrie, Evans, bennett, Conway, rankin Costello, Travis, stokes, Gallagher and Graham. Kaminski, pears, stergiakis, Carter, Pickering, Ayala, Philips, Wharton, Edun, Dack, butterworth, burns, Markanday, Buckley, hedges, Dolan, rankin Costello, Travis, Gallagher, Brereton. What Mowbray inherited v what he will leave. Mowbray inherited a mess but he’s leaving one behind on the pitch. Ordinarily I wouldn’t lay any blame whatsoever about the state of the club behind the scenes at the managers door but as he’s quick to point out his contributions there as well. No recruiting dept and no medical department. His mate as ceo who’d give Shagnew a run for their money for incompetence. Cheers Tony. -
He’ll know how to turn the academy into a housing estate.
-
So Mowbray has said he’s leaving. My only issue with that is he couldn’t lie straight in bed. Until it’s confirmed by the club I’ll remain convinced if there’s contract dangled in front of him he’ll sign it in spite of the arduous journey and him missing out on family time. 🎻🎻🎻🎻. He’s like the terminator you think it’s over and he keeps coming back.

Meekly applauding a 3-0 home defeat rovers fans deserve all the mediocrity we get. -

It’s the most fitting end for hopefully his last home game. -

All part of his subtle it’s not my fault narrative. Excuses excuses excuses. The way he talks about the age of the squad you’d be excused for thinking he’s a P.E teacher talking about his class of 8 year olds. -
Christ almighty. So not selling Rothwell is the reason this seasons death spiral isn’t Teflon’s fault. Ok. What about the rest of his managerial career then. Who’s fault was it in 2020/21 when were 3 points off the play offs in Jan and finished 15th. Who’s fault was it in 2019/20 when we were again 3 points off the play offs at Xmas and finished 11th. Who’s fault was it in 2018/19 when were 2 points off the play offs in January and finished 15th. Who’s fault was it in 2015/16 when he was at Coventry who were 4th at Xmas and finished 8th. Who’s fault was it at Middlesbrough in 2012/13 when they were 3rd at Xmas and finished 16th. Who’s fault was it in 2011/12 where Middlesbrough were 2nd at Xmas and finished 7th.

I’d say after 12 years of the Venkys most fans have zero expectations. If as a fan your only expectation was they cleaned the cladding on the ground you’d still be disappointed let alone finish in the top third.
-
Some people confuse expecting with hoping. Every club from about 15th upwards has a shot of making the play offs in any given season. Then a few like Burnley, blackpool, etc occasionally go up. The likes of Barnsley and this season Luton and Huddersfield make the play offs. After 5 years of Mowbray it’s clear we will never get into the playoffs there is no expectation of this happening under any one but there’s no hope of it under Mowbray so roll the dice. Supporters with no hope at any club are not a fanbase and might as well not turn up at all if they lose hope .
-
Plus in my opinion he isn’t even the best under the Venkys reign of terror. Bowyer took over in the season of 5 managers and finished 19th ish. He inherited far more of a mess from Kean et al than Moggadon inherited from Coyle. The following season under Bowyer we finished 8th then 9th. Until Moggadon can at least match that lofty league finish he’s not been as good as Bowyer who also never made a fraction of ridiculous comments that Moggadon has made over the years.

Doing well to even be in the championship. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Jog on dingle.

I’m not sure the club is in a healthy position to be honest. A threadbare squad and several more players are out of contract. We’re in £220 million debt about £100 million more than in 2017. Fanbase still dwindling. Ground dilapidated. Not all Mowbray’s fault by any means but in my opinion the club has been on a downwards spiral since the Venkys arrived and still are.
-
Whilst Mowbray has been floating at the top of the tank for a few years our terrible owners and their terrible track record of managers definitely warrants trepidation. Ultimately we can’t progress as a football club with them here. I was happy when bowyer was sacked as he wasn’t good enough and his “we gave it a right good go” was irritating but as you say a lot worse came. I think it speaks volumes about the Venkys 12 years that considering bowyer followed Kean and the carnage left in the wake, 2 top 10 finishes he was probably their best appointment.
-
Average manager average person. Plenty of snide digs at fans who have the temerity to mildly question him. He’s sucked up to the Venkys at various points over the years. So I’m enjoying the irony of how they’re treating him now. For all this talk of work life balance if they dropped off a contract to sign he’d sign it. He just loves being a martyr. Long drive, not seeing kids. Fucking leave then pal

Could there be a repeat of 2019…
-
-
You couldn’t make this shit up. They’re hopeless from top to bottom.
-
No. But it’s nice to dream.
-
The man is a snake oil salesman. I can easily see him getting a new contract then in 3 years time ironically ending up with a load of 35/36 years olds and him saying something like 3 years ago we had inexperienced kids playing so I brought in battle hardened war horses.
-
Vintage Mowbray using our spineless local media to peddle a fake narrative. He’d had given Goebbels a lesson in propaganda. Even recently large swathes of our fanbase would have swallowed that whole but thankfully more and more are seeing through his bullshit
-
Good win for Lancs. Was a bit worried with 6 overs left that Gloucestershire would hold out. Fair dos for making it difficult especially vs an attack that would see England off for under 300 not that that’s saying much.

Not happy campers at boundary park. Showing more passion than seen at ewood since the Venkys arrived. -
I’ve pondered this a lot over the past 12 years I reckon initially it was purely a vanity project. Look at us we own a premier league side. Then when it all went tits up it’s been a very expensive face saving operation ever since. But I’d love to hear from the horses mouth why they bought rovers, were they sold the club on false pretences and why do they still keep hanging around. They’ve sunk over £200 million into the club without ever once trying to run it properly or employ competent people to run it properly. It’s mind boggling.
