  1. I wish I could say I believed it was. But even if we lost 10-0 I just don’t see it. He’s never going to walk, his bezzy mate won’t sack him and I’d be astonished if the Venkys know we’re playing or where we are in the league. He has an autonomy unrivalled in football management.
  2. I know it’s been posted on this site somewhere but I cannot find it. Does anyone have a list of the players who are out of contract this summer
  3. No. He’s not the only reason though. I won’t be buying one for the following reasons, in order: 1 venkys - Venky apologists often say it’s their club they can do what they want. In that case they can fund it with their billions. 2 Mowbray - football is shite, really dislike (edging towards hate) the man, mostly I just don’t believe in his journey. 3 Swag - a con man trying to milk every penny he can from the fanbase while systematically destroying the fabric of the club.
  4. Zero chance of him walking. 1 he’ll not get paid over a million pounds a season at any other club ever again. 2 he’ll never get a job where he operates under such little pressure/expectations ever again. 3 he’ll never get a job with such an apathetic fanbase with such low expectations. 4 he’ll never get a job where he has such a free reign at a club. 5 he’ll never managed at another club where he can waste 12 million on 2 strikers and still complain he’s not got attacking talent. 6 I doubt he’ll ever manage a championship team again. 7 he’ll not come across a fanbase where large swathes will gobble up the crap he comes out with. 8 he’ll certainly not have his very own flag paid for by the club. He knows how good he’s got it here. As a side note I do think it’s a different proposition a football manager walking compared to one of us leaving our respective jobs. He probably already has more money in the bank than he can spend in a lifetime so it’s hard to compare him walking away with the ramifications of the average Joe walking out on a job but even so I think he’s too stupid and arrogant to see he’s failing anyway.
  5. I’m sure the Mowbray Pom poms will be out as soon we so much as take the lead again. We’d lost 6 and drawn one before beating millwall and on the LET comments section of one article I read some dumb dumb asking where all the Mowbray out brigade were. Naturally they arrived but still. * I do think for some people their decisions are purely based on what’s happened during the previous 90 mins.
  6. Brereton probably had a 6 months purple patch this time last year where he looked a genuinely decent championship player. But even in his prime months he was still a non goal scoring striker. Either side of that purple patch to the present day he looks like someone who’s never seen a football before. I’m sure someone other than Mowbray could get a tune out of him more regularly but under this regime he has no chance.
  7. People who run it care about it. Ironically they probably have a greater knowledge of football than anyone in the rovers boardroom hierarchy (not that that’s saying much). Owners and management passionate about their club and run it with a view to pleasing its fans. That’s all I really want for rovers but haven’t had it for over a decade.
  8. Going off your posting name I’d suggest getting yourself down to shawbridge to watch Clitheroe. They have ambitions of promotion. Last season season tickets were £50. Can have a drink while watching the game. A club that isn’t reduced to merely a vanity project for billionaires and chancers.
  9. After sleeping on it. I’m still mad. 1 win in 13. Surely must be coming towards the worst run in the clubs history over an extended period (he might already have that title with the losing 9 from 11). For all I want him gone and have done for 3 years (I was slow on the uptake people saw him for what he was straight away) I also have a morbid curiosity to see how bad things have to get before he even acknowledges he’s under pressure.
  10. The irony is the system he’s brought in is a similar (the same) system he attempted in league one. A system by his own admission he had to change to get results. It didn’t work in league one but bound to work in the championship. Thick as mince our Tone. Bless him.
  11. Don’t underestimate the true believers from the church of Tonebola.
  12. He’s pushed me through apathy to wanting a ticket next to the home dugout.
  13. I’d have a turnip with a smiley face drawn on it over this moron.
  14. Either he’s taking the piss or too stupid to see reason why we don’t get stuffed by teams is that our main tactic is to keep the ball but do naff all with it. If, with all due respect, the likes of Wycombe take the lead they allow us possession as they know in our half it poses zero threat. Ironically if we took the lead in the first few minutes I’d wager our possession would be nearer 50:50.
  15. I honestly don’t think he’s in any misery. He has the best job in the world and he knows it. No pressure, no standards and paid over a million a year. It’s us that need putting out of our misery at the hands of that plank.
  16. I saw your post earlier about him praising Mowbray. Subsequently he says he’s not seen us a lot. 🤦‍♂️. Legend status isn’t easily earned, one of my favourites, I just hope he belts up from now on. Or actually watches us and gets on board with the reality of the situation.
  17. I’ve been working under the assumption that Mowbray is a thicko from Middlesbrough who likes biscuits and also dabbles in football management. He’s pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes there. I bet no one considered that’s what he meant by the journey. He’s rumbled now.
  18. As well as everything else why do we look like we’re playing the game wading in treacle.
  19. 9/10 sacked. The other 1 would resign out of pride. 10/10 clubs would be sacking him.
  20. The important thing though. How’s the possession stat looking?
  21. Any manager in at any standard anywhere in the world would be facing the sack surely. Not our Tone bulletproof.
  22. I wish Tonebola would just fuck off. Shambles of a football club.
  23. Where’s my to-do-list of things that don’t need doing. Anything is better than this crap. 2 scuffed efforts from Brereton and a 25 yarder from jrc.
