  1. I don't even know what this tournament is? πŸ˜‚ Also, it's on DAZN sports, which means I can't watch it anyway.
  2. Indeed. The whole point, as they've admitted to, is to relieve the financial burden off the owners. The fabled Brentford model is a total myth.
  3. Like De Neve, this guy looks like he has some attributes to work with but will need to work hard on the technical side of things to be at Championship level. Nothing wrong with that but that would make 2 signings that are unlikely to be up to speed until mid-way (or beyond) the season. I know this is the clubs plan (buy potential, get them up to speed, sell them and not reinvest the money) but it would shape up to be another season of nothing, as we'll just be developing players for the other clubs.
  4. I like the kit, just not as a 150th anniversary kit, in that respect, its pretty terrible.
  5. No surprise whatsoever and just further evidence that we will never go anywhere but down with this ownership. 2 of our best players are now likely to be sold for a fraction of their value and replaced with inferior quality. Get these scumbags out of our club.
  6. I really hope Andrews gets the Brentford job (he won't), because, well it would be a laugh
  7. 0 chance. They'll be off to League One most likely. Β£250k max per player
  8. I can't give you an answer on that. Whatever their reasons, it's not for the benefit of Blackburn Rovers FC.
  9. Someone has been pointing him in the right direction.
  10. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25234748.blackburn-rovers-hold-talks-resolve-star-players-futures/ Looks like we are finally waking up with regards to Travis and Tronstads contracts. The article however, certainly feels like its written to soften the blow of Travis departure. I suspect the club will try and cash in on him, whilst he still has some value to cover some the financial hole they have created.
  11. Batth turns 35 in a couple of months. Although I want him to stay, and his influence will be felt both on and off the pitch, I don't think the club should really be offering a 2 year deal. 1 year with an option would be better, if he'll agree to it. Difficult tbh, no reason he couldn't play for 2 more years, also his legs could go over night and we're landed with him for another season (or more)
  12. Sell him, make Β£1m profit, restore Pears as No.1, promote the recently new contracted Jack Barrett to No.2. Sorted (in Suhail's world)
  13. Yep, Jackson reckons we're basically planning for life without Batth and Weimann now. Talks not ended but seems highly unlikely for both now. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25231529.blackburn-rovers-contract-latest-impasse-continues/
  14. What positions was it that RG said we were looking at? Thought RW and CM were in there, assuming RB was as well?
  15. Unless it's silly money, purely out of spite, I could see us just flat out rejecting any bids made by Derby whilst JE is there.
  16. De Neve certainly feels like a signing that's going to take a reasonable amount of time getting up to speed at Rovers. He'll have to improve his physicality and his technique by all accounts. Ohashi came in last summer and his technique was some way off but it improved over the course of the season, it's still not quite there but it improved a lot. That took a whole season though.
  17. He says in his first interview he needs to work on his duels, so you might be right on the physical side there.
  18. Couldn't tell you tbh. He might be good, he might be crap. In the grand scheme of football, it's a cheap transfer fee really but for Rovers, it's probably 75% of our budget
  19. Which jumped to Β£22m, and then to Β£25m in those interviews a few months back.
  20. Yep, it's already starting. The blame now lies with Batth for "demanding" a 2 year contract. And again, spot on with dropping in another name to make things seem busy. No doubts those talks would "stall" as they have for that other defender we were in "advanced talks" with. I have no doubts that Waggott will have shown Suhail the ropes when it comes to feeding lines out to Nixon.
  21. Cheers. I assume an appeal process would be at absolute piss taking levels of time, so this would likely drag on for years? If they appeal it, would that still keep the blocker in place for funding the club? Or would that be removed regardless?
