If it's used as a learning curve, springboard, building block or whatever other phrase you want to put there, for this season, then you could class this is a positive season. Yeah I expected a season of struggle and would of snapped your hand off for 7th at the start of the season. I feel like the timing for everything has just been against us. Conceding last minute goals/own goals, handballs not given at the death, being so close to Wembley, Dingles lifting the trophy just had to fall on our game at Ewood. Frustrating beyond belief. I don't hold anything against the players or manager, in fact I want him to stay and build on this season. It's just frustrating being the nearly men but seeing others celebrate.

In the top 6 all season but lose out on goal difference, despite having many chances to secure at least 1 more fucking point. 20mins from Wembley and lose out, despite being 2-1 up. Dingles get promoted and then run salt in by winning the league at Ewood Park, when they really didn't deserve it. Getting royally tubbed at their place. Our former manager overtaking us to secure a top 6th place for Sunderland. Sure, there are green shoots that can be seen with the likes of Wharton & JRC but we've been kicked in the nuts alot this season. A 7th placed finish is respectable but it's the manner of how we ended up there that punches you right in the gut.
