  1. Gonna be embarrassing if we lose out to PNE on another centre back. Looks like a loan
  2. The 2 wins have been very welcome but we have been here before and until he actually gets us into that top 6 and at least puts up some form of a battle to stay there I'll just assume the standard win a few, lose a few cycle will continue as it has done in the past.
  3. Be a good move for Rovers and for Bennett. He's a very likable bloke, plenty of time for him on that score but he's another player who isn't good enough for a promotion chasing team. We have missed his versatility during a severe defensive injury crisis but we shouldn't be keeping him around for that alone.
  4. Davenport and Johnson out Downing and BB in
  5. It's totally believable, largely because we are abject for the first 75mins.
  6. This is a concern. All 3 would sign new contracts here,I have no doubts. In Mowbrays eyes, good lads who'll "do a job" but none of them are good enough for a team with promotion aspirations.
  7. I'd be happy to see them all leave in the summer when their contracts expire. I don't really rate any of them, Del has done OK at CB but is very injury prone. Evans has somehow managed to make 197 apps for us and I can't remember him being consistently decent at any point. He's had his moments but is now 30 and his injuries will just become even more regular. Bell hasn't been great since he joined. The issue is do we need to replace them? Del at CB, most definitely and Bell at LB too, purely on a numbers basis. Evans, not so much.
  8. Bolasie is pretty injury prone but on his day his day he's a good player.
  9. Definitely he has gotten much better defensively. Against Boro, i remember he tracked back and put a great sliding block in to deny their Lad a shot on goal in our box. He's much more effective playing deeper and making driving runs forward. At home, against Luton he should be starting CM alongside Trav.
  10. Yer of Absinthe, judging by his post.
  11. Buckley needs the MGP treatment. Assuming Hughes locked him in a cellar and had 7 bells knocked out of him or something, I dunno. Whatever he did, he transformed MGP into good player at prem level even though when he joined he looked way off it.
  12. Surely that triple sub should have been revised after that?
  13. Literally can't get out of our own half. 1-0 down soon
  14. Anyone who thinks this is good football is kidding themselves. As always, turgid stuff.
  15. Always a moment away from a defensive calamity.
  16. Nope The tombola draw must be done by now??
  17. Its embarrassing is what it is. Mowbray has made a couple of comments in the past, those being: That he doesn't put too much stock in formations. And We are an attacking team not a defending one. It's not difficult to see why we often end up as a disorganised mess on the field and why we concede goals at an alarming rate. He wants to play football "the right way", when there is no right way to play football. I would argue our football and our results would improve if we have a good structure, a more solid defensive base to build on and high work rate. The rest would take care of itself.
  18. What position does Mols play? Centre mid?
  19. Worrying if our best player by some distance doesn't suit the system we play (the system being an incomprehensible mess) Let's hope its just a lack of match fitness/sharpness on Dacks part because if we nullifying our best player, then things need to change.
  20. I'm certain Warnock will have Boro well drilled and organised. Which is normally enough to undo us. Keep it tight and hit us on the break. Easy as you like.
  21. £43m? Advanced forward? Get your CV into Venkys!
  22. I can't see anyone spending £30m on AA.
