  1. Waste of one of our better players.... silly
  2. Johnson touched it twice, given it away twice and 0-1
  3. Blimey, how ignorant is this post Unlike me you weren't at a cold west London club a few weeks ago when a Lancashire team failed to turn up
  4. Yep, me too. In conversation and writing, it's always Rovers. Blackburn is the town, the football team is Rovers. It's non-negotiable
  5. Getting on a bit is Fred, Tyrone Still better than G & B-D though
  6. Armstrong for Soton at Watford. Just like with Rovers he missed so many chances. Won’t be long before saints fans wondering whether they’ve wasted money
  7. You have to keep being suspicious of those running the club though when important events such as the sale of the training ground only comes to the light thanks to the vigilance of fans scrawling through the internet. Why the secrecy? The club's dysfunctional nature continues.
  8. The big IF. It hasn't happened in 11 years - why should that change?
  9. Solskjaer would never have got that job if he hadn't been a former United player. His appointment shows the danger of sentiment in football and why Damien Johnson and Gareth Ainsworth shouldn't be considered as future Rovers managers just because of their local connections
  10. I don't know who that bloke thinks he is, but Brian Glanville he isn't Written in a pompous style, often with 10 words where 3 would do, and silly adjectives and words where simple language would enable to make his point much better I mean, look at that headline (which admittedly may not have been his but some hapless sub-editor) Opposition obsession is of Blackburn Rovers detriment as club's annual record prompts concern It's grammatically incorrect and actually doesn't make sense - you have to read it several times to see what it's driving at The sentiment of the piece is good, but it's badly written and edited
  11. Does his game plan include an unchallenged player belting it into the net from 20 yards or so and a goalkeeper who didn't even move? I was right behind the QPR player when he shot, the gap was there and he placed the ball perfectly. I wouldn't mind if Rovers had pressed QPR in the last 10 minutes to try and find an equaliser but there was no reaction at all, absolutely nothing. That's the problem when you set a team up "to get a point"
  12. It wasn't just the likes of Butterworth and Clarkson who were dire last night Brereton was a big disappointment; he spends more time on his backside complaining to the referee than he does on his feet. He and Gallagher are 2 hulking big lads yet they get knocked off the ball so easily and are totally unable to shield the ball with their backs to goal Rothwell apart from one little run and a shot near the end was anonymous and clearly needs a midfield enforcer next to him to win him the ball. When Travis (who had another poor game) went off we just didn't have one The only players who did put in a decent shift were Nyambe, the left back from Lincoln, and Ayala. The rest just did not turn up as far as I was concerned. Six of us went last night, spending about a collective £300 in tickets, travel costs, food etc. We won't do that again until there is change at the club.
  13. Just a few thoughts on one of the worst performances I've seen from a Rovers team in 50 plus years of attending Apart from Nyambe and Ayala (and they're not brilliant), there is very little quality in the team. Last season when we had Elliott and Harwood-Bellis and Armstrong seems a very long time ago Butterworth and Clarkson....... why? Both look like schoolboys and they play the same way, boys in a man's world. I don't see what either of them have to offer and should not be in the team I have no doubt we'll be in a relegation battle before Christmas.
  14. I was one of the hardy souls who made the trip down to QPR last night It is my sad duty to report that I didn't hear one dissenting voice among the fans against Mowbray Plenty of abuse aimed at Burnley and Charlie Austin when he came on, but Rovers away fans don't seem to have hit a tipping point with Mowbray yet
  15. Just got back after a dreadful day and match and more than £300 lighter with ticket and travelling costs I won't do it again under this manager. Thanks Tony
  16. Chaddy in sense of humour shock!!!!Not roll on the floor laughing but a good first effort Keep it up!
  17. Steve Bruce likely to be available soon. Good record operating at clubs with little or no money and if he’s still got the appetite for the game I’d be after him if I were in charge. But I’m not so it was pretty pointless posting this. I thenk you
  18. Six of us making the trip. Not sure why as expectations of a good result under Mowbray’s misfits are not high. Plenty of seats still available when we booked last week QPR took a hammering at Fulham on Saturday and will be looking to bounce back. Rovers are a banker to concede at least one so will need to score at least 3 to win. I’ll be optimistic and go QPR 2 Rovers 2
  19. It's pathetic, it really is. Another Saturday when spirits were lifted only to be beaten down again Tony, please go. Your time is up
  20. Give us some of the glue you're sniffing Sparks!
  21. FFS, it really is pathetic. Go away Mowbray
  22. Great start by Rovers against a decent side in good form with a manager I'd prefer to Mowbray! Can we not concede please?
  23. Ian Wright's grandson in a Rovers shirt.... he's now at Stoke City https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/58916997 Was he a good player for us?
  24. There's no bigger dinosaur than our Tony. He was yesterday's man when he arrived at Ewood all those years ago
