So injury-prone new signing is out injured while we struggled on with kids and players who aren't good enough. And some folk continue to insist we aren't weaker than last season
-
FYI the UK media is predominantly London based , especially since the 1990s when the national newspapers began shutting their Manchester production facilities and a press already tilted towards the south outside of the “ big clubs” became even more biased in its coverage of football and news generally Rovers in our glory years were never given the credit we deserved because we were seen as a small town club that had risen above our status and were dismissed as “moneybags Blackburn” and other disparaging comments by the London based press. That indifference has continued to this day as there has never been a real investigation at national media level over Venkys and their destruction of our club. And we’ve sunk so far out of their consciousness that now they even failed to mention that Brad Friedel spent most of his career at Ewood Park and was is apparently a former Liverpool and Tottenham player Sorry about the long post but I felt I needed to clear up what appeared to be a misunderstanding on your part

And your point is?

Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

It's a bit like the Bazball (cricket) ideology as applied to football. It doesn't always work and there are times when you have to grind out a point. A few more of those away from home last season and we might have been in the play-offs. -
I wouldn't, I really wouldn't. Unattractive ground and town, and we're going to get tonked. Save your money

Spain could be 3 up You can see Barcelona philosophy in the way they play, mastery of the ball, strong in possession, pressing high and the 7 second rule of trying to get the ball back when they lose it -

Spain very skilful this is going to be tough -
A win, a draw and a loss The die is cast for the season all right. 11th place here we come and Steve and his sidekick in their jobs for another £300,000 a year
-
It's almost as if it were deliberate. Rovers being in the top 6 most of last season must have frightened him and Waggott to death
-
Leonard and Dolan starting up front says it all - one lad nowhere near ready and the other plainly not good enough. Until the striker problem is addressed this is going to be a difficult season.
-
It's the little things that do you - the small errors that lesser players make. This a is a mid-table squad and the quality is just not there
-
Apart from running around a lot what quality would that be?
-
That team may or may not win today but it has to be said it's not good, it's lacking in quality and it's certainly not top 6 material As it stands, and with 2 weeks to go until the window closes, we're weaker than last season

Yes, the match circa 1964-5 ? we were 2-0 down and came back to beat them 3-2. Another great game,. They were throwing bottles all over the place outside Ewood. I can't remember when changing ends stopped - probably by about 1970 or so. It was a sad day for football -

Different era. Swapped ends at half time and had a bit of banter with opposition fans going the other way, but that's as far as it went. Football was fun then
