  1. They aren't minnows.
  2. Minnows is a ridiculous way to describe two good sides, one of whom were World Cup finals last time, but they aren't top teams because they don't have top players in the final third.
  3. Point being you didnt pick the team that Southgate went for either, so the told you so nonsense is invalidated. Until Southgate doesnt. Stick to the same team. You change your mind every 3 minutes about England. Agreed. Stick to the 433, they play 4231 so there is no need for 3 centre backs.
  4. He should stick with the same team against France. Southgate loves to revert back to 5 at the back but the current set up is exactly how we should play. Foden is absolutely brilliant but Southgate has to stick with him.
  5. You are nothing if not eccentric. You also didnt agree with his team. Saka in particular was one you have not wanted in the team.
  6. He is nowhere near Mbappe. You said he never lets us down!
  7. Technically not brilliant and poor keeping? Pretty much a top player? The very best around.
  8. Absolutely fantastic talent who justifies the ego and could very well lead France to another World Cup.
  9. Specific. Found now: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/20646058/england-team-senegal-foden-saka-rashford-world-cup/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=sunfootballtwitter&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1670171555 No one is unbeatable but especially v France, you can understand a cautious approach by inferior teams. Picked off there with a superb finish by Mbappe. Do you not root for underdogs?
  10. Where have you seen that? I would at least be pleased to see Foden start. They are massively inferior to France as they are to Argentina, so I am not sure why they have provoked so much anger in not encouraging an open game with better teams.
  11. Not strictly Championship obviously but caught a bit of Wycombe v Portsmouth where Sky are seemingly trying to copy from American Sports by showing camera inside the dressing rooms at half time and interviewing managers mid game. This is third tier football, absolute nonsense.
  12. Sky are reporting that Saka will come into the team today and that at least one of Foden and Rashford will be dropped. I rate Saka very highly and I would have had him and of course Foden as definite starters going into the tournament, but the latter definitely needs to start and Rashford surely cant be dropped either after scoring 3 goals already. I would play all 3 and drop Henderson but assuming that Southgate is too cautious to do that then I can't fathom dropping either. Lets hope it isnt compounded by dropping both and bringing Sterling back in.
  13. To be fair, in that second half he was brilliant to watch. Be something wrong if he wasnt full of praise.
  14. Would Danny Murphy be seen as such a deplorable commentator by Rovers fans if he hadnt had the spell here that he did? I think via red button you can get alternative commentary. I fancy Holland to get to the semi finals, they play pragmatic football but have really good defenders, De Jong is a great midfielder and they have lots of pace and quality up front.
  15. France have never been a thrilling team but they are exactly what you want from an international team. They always seem in control, they have the best player in the world amidst a solid side throughout with plenty of experience and they know how to win.
  16. Any effort to try and change things doesn't get the time of day, nothing changes and this conversation feels like banging my head against a wall, similar to if anyone was to (unsuccessfully) attempt to ask Waggott to change something. I presume that most peoples bosses aren't as tone deaf as Waggott so pointless comparison. Whether its a big issue like expensive season tickets and piss poor attendances (that you somehow think are decent), issues that affect matchdays like woeful services on the concourses (Waggott has heard at fans forum about potential solutions like pre pouring pints and opening the bottle bars, neither of which he has done) or really trivial issues like goal music, aside from having a little moan on here, we just have to accept it.
  17. What does that even mean? Obviously we will play like JDT wants us to. That doesn't necessarily make it the most effective way. Your quoted sentence is not a counter argument. For what its worth, I also don't think that we are well suited to playing it out from the back, our team is technically limited.
  18. Waste of time and energy when our CEO is an idiot and our owners couldn't give 2 shits. Anyway, the initial point was that you implying that people shouldn't complain on a messageboard unless they have spoken to the club first is a load of rubbish. Even points made to the club are just ignored.
  19. No it hasnt, my point is that these things have been communicated to the club more than once, especially ticket prices, and the club has done nothing about it.
  20. Why would it be picked over Liverpool v Wolves, watching that great fixture twice a season isn't enough! (I agree that it should be)
  21. I don't see how failing to contact the club removes the right to be able to vent on a messageboard. I have asked the fans forum members on here numerous times to bring up various issues, a big source of irritation is the pathetic service on offer in the concourses. The terrible pricing strategies have also been mentioned in those meetings I read the minutes every time. Has anything changed? No. The issue is not a lack of communication to the club, it is the club itself.
  22. 4-0. Dack scored early in the second half.
  23. Excellent use by the referee of VAR in the Uruguay game for that penalty, having missed the earlier stamp.
  24. Absolutely no consideration again from Sky, 5 out of 6 games is a joke. I doubt many neutrals would bother with Rotherham v Rovers either.
  25. Out of interest, have the club either via email or through your meeting changed anything at your request?
