Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?
roversfan99 replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
If an eye emoji with no further detail got people excited in a transfer thread at which point we have no manager then they could do with some hobbies over these summer months! I find this whole ITK willy waving charade a bit tiresome in general, I think it must be the particular prevalance with the manager situation. -
Doesnt make sense to me. Even Venkys wouldnt surely delegate interviews to Waggott and co aside from Farke and if that was the case, why would he then even need that interview with Waggott, if he has side stepped the general interview rat race? Ultimately, until those bastards stop running this club, it seemingly will never be run normally and efficiently. Why cant they just get good qualified people in high positions and delegate properly? Id be pleasantly surprised if Farke was appointed and even more so if we had a reasonable transfer budget. The latest likely manager rumour changes with the wind and there have been 4 in 24 hours, the key is not to get carried away until someone finally is appointed on the official website. Up until then its all conflicting gossip and much of it is unfounded. If you could give the "x's blue and white army" treatment to a few less favourable candidates like Unsworth, Ferguson and Grayson, hopefully that will jinx them out of the running!

😂 was a set of eyes "accurate info?" Or just I know something you lot dont know slightly before you all but I cant/wont tell you? And is it summer excitement that weve signed a kid for the youth team? -
I love how in the quoted tweets, one shows him a West Ham shirt doing a ground tour (who he apparently has been to watch too) and another claims that he also follows Fulham with his girlfriend due to Tom Cairney. One of our own indeed!

Dismal planning if thats the case, and not for the first time. Prices out, far too dear so they have to scrape around with deals when theyve already been on sale.

You mean if only we had caring, competent owners you mean. Waggott has only been here for a small fraction of the last 12 years in which I dont think he has ever been involved in a managerial appointment. There is one common denominator. Waggott by all means should be replaced and indeed probably hasnt got the autonomy to make a decision anyway, until they sell up we will continue to have problems. My point was that in your desperation to believe every rumour you read, you had already "welcomed" Carvalhal as Rovers manager the other day! Presumably you believe today that Unsworth, Ferguson, Carvalhal and Farke will all be appointed together. The lesson here is not to believe everything you read and that no one truly knows. It has absolutely no relevance to my point but I want Farke. Carvalhal would be second choice.

Did a signing to make up the numbers for the kids team require the whole cryptic eye emoji routine? -

Cut the superfan rubbish about giving him a chance etc, ill be there and I will give him or anyone a chance. But equally I will be annoyed because there are proven managers available and at least one has had an interview apparently. Ferguson is a total novice. Like I said, hopefully its another false rumour.

Always amazes me when people slag off others for not being willing to spend such a large amount and give up so much of their free time unconditionally. I have again renewed but am not arrogant enough to think I have the right to call others "pathetic" for not doing so. One thing on top of that, you say use your voice to get the manager out. That has never happened before, Venkys sit in India and couldnt care less what is being shouted at Ewood, they are oblivious. They even promised to come this season just gone and in the end they couldnt be arsed. I went on protest marches and chanted for Kean to go and it made no difference.

There are occasions when odds will suddenly tumble to odds on prior to an appointment but especially in a small market like our next manager, it doesnt take much/many bets to cause significant changes in odds. The other day, Wagner suddenly appeared quite high in the betting odds because someone on here asked for the odds. Today, Beale was at 12s presumably because of Nixons nonsense, hours later its reported that he isnt leaving. Ferguson would be a totally bizarre appointment. He is a total novice and that is not what we need at this time. Its not even as if hes gone to League 1 or League 2 and done well, it would be an unnecessary and probably cheap gamble when there are managers available with decent track records. Lazy comparisons can be made to rookies appointed years and years ago but I am solely looking at Ferguson. Hopefully he is not in the running and hasnt even been interviewed. The weaved pitch seems to be just the general yearly maintenance done despite last year Waggott saying that the pitch was getting relaid after 30 years only for the owners to change their mind and not pay for it. The work targeting the asian community is good but ultimately the overall attendances at the moment are poor oweing to fundamental failings on that side of things.

You are looking at it with massive bias, not acknowledging that Mowbray ultimately was responsible for finishing 8th across the season, on the back of a summer whereby Venkys totally withheld any reinvestment of funds generated. You can't just put the first half of the season down as signs of progress across the whole club, but solely blame Mowbray for the way it ended. Across the season, we finished 8th, and Mowbray was the manager throughout. And before conversation is skewed, I am well aware that it was the way in which the season went that caused such frustration and I am glad that he has now gone. You touched upon progression throughout the whole club and how it operates, separate to how we did last season, but haven't explained what that progress is. You also didn't answer whether any underlying negativity as you call it is justified.
