I agree with you about Grealish, I think he was one of the only players to emerge with any credit last night. But Kane and Chilwell are by far our best options in their positions. There are hardly any better strikers than Kane about on the planet. I think you’ve got that assessment badly wrong tbh.

He can’t live off a World Cup semi final forever if we are awful now and showing few signs of improvement or evolving as a team.

We’ve been shocking. Whilst I don’t think we have the strongest pool of players to choose from, I think Southgate puts too much faith in players who never deliver for us. (Hi Declan Rice). We are too negative in our set up and I’m wondering if Southgate has taken us as far as he can to be honest.

Are you just spoiling for an argument? Evans has been injured probably more than he hasn’t, while he’s been with us. This season, he hadn’t even played for us because of injury, but he then made Northern Ireland’s first squad!

Ashley Fletcher. Another poster rates him, personally I don’t, not compared to Dack anyhow. Most championship goals he’s scored in a season is 11. Dack bagged 15 in his first, then 9 in his second. He finished his second season in December.... Also, Dack plays as an attacking midfielder, Fletcher plays as a striker. There’s no comparison for me tbh.

I know he hasn’t played for ages, but I think people are forgetting how vital to us Bradley Dack is, he’s still the best player at the club. Therefore, he needs to start as soon as he is able to.

If he adds more goals to his game, then yeah, we will recoup what we paid and then some, for sure. For now, I honestly think he’s playing with real confidence, that he seemed to really lack previously. Whoever has gotten into his head on the coaching staff to give him that belief needs a lot of credit. He’s doing much better and playing well right now and long may that continue.

It took Brereton two years to start showing regular and consistent form. Which by the way, I’m delighted he has for the sake of the club and himself, as I’m sure it was playing on his mind too. The transfer fee was bound to lead fans to question the signing. As a club, if we are spending that amount, they need to be hitting the ground running right away, particularly when we have had regular complaints about FFP and not having funds elsewhere ever since....

He’s assembled a good squad and been backed in the transfer market. He needs to deliver over the course of the season. Delivery= promotion.

Credit where it’s due for the lad today, that finish was exceptional for his goal. Glad he’s showing promise finally!

To be honest, the club pundits will inevitably be biased, that’s certainly to be expected. Don’t think the Rovers ones are especially poor at all, just what I’d expect overall. Just glad we have any coverage at all in reality.

Good win, decent enough performance, no real complaints tbh! Also, we’ve won- so we should have no reason to be insulting each other.
