  1. Hi everyone- I had the audacity to go to bed around 10pm last night, so I’ve woken up to a lot of last night’s drama, but just to clarify, saying the following things isn’t alright- ‘I prefer to take the views of people who know what they are talking about’. ’If you don’t think this, then you’re deluded’. Basically, insults and inferring people are clueless isn’t alright and never has been. It’s easier to hide posts, rather than simply dishing out bans, which is something we seek to avoid. We understand that emotions run high after matches haven’t reached the conclusion we all wanted and people may need to let off steam, so we are more lenient than usual. Going forward, this leniency will end. As it appears to be a lot of the same perpetrators digging each other out, which is incredibly disappointing. So, going forward-if you can’t moderate your own behaviour, please don’t start complaining about mods being too harsh with banning, as you’ve had your fair warning now. In short, as ever- just stop it.
  2. Just a gentle reminder- can people stop making stuff up to suit their point and also stop trolling each other please? Nice one.
  3. Glad we kept a clean sheet tonight and glad we didn’t lose. Not so glad we had £12 Million worth of strikers on the pitch that couldn’t hit the onion bag though.
  4. Seeing a few comments about negativity on here, well, if losing over half of our games certainly makes me feel less optimistic! This is the kind of game where Mowbray pulls out a result tbh. Seen some very inflated numbers about 12 first teamers out! No way it’s that many on our injury list! After a quick Google- I’ve found 5 injuries, 3 isolating with Covid? This was from an article yesterday....
  5. Whilst we have suffered injuries, that is true, so has everyone else. We’ve also suffered five defeats from our opening nine games. That can’t only be attributed to injuries I’m afraid. If we want to get promoted, we need to tighten up in a big way.
  6. It’s the same old, same old. Individual errors, (interesting that this only seems to happen to us), players out of position, poor players starting (Hi Corry), a former centre half that can’t set up a defence, conceding too many goals. I think this is half of the reason I didn’t let myself get carried away with some resounding results, because I knew we were more than capable of reverting to type....
  7. ‘No lasting defensive or tactical concerns’. Yet we concede another two at the weekend...
  8. I don’t live there any more, but there’s a solid base in Hyndburn of Rovers fans. There are more Burnley than there used to be, but I think that’s just because they’re more vocal and fans have moved from Burnley and Pendle to a different borough, etc.
  9. A Tribe Called Quest- What really goes on
  10. I suppose the biggest irony in the comparison between Warnock and Mowbray is that Warnock used to be a winter, but Mowbray used to be a defender. One of those puts more stock in building from the back and it isn’t the ex centre back....
  11. Fell asleep really early last night and didn’t manage to catch any of the game. So, whilst I can’t comment on any events from said game, I can comment on the fact that if we keep conceding so many goals, we won’t be going anywhere. Very disappointing.
  12. There is no chance of us signing him, Liverpool know exactly how good he is. That being said, he is absolutely unreal and I’m just glad we’ve got him for the season. I didn’t even know what his strongest foot was until he took a free kick with his left. He’s so good with both of them. Such a talent.
  13. Between him and Elliott for sure. Two good lads.
  14. I’m not getting ahead of myself about the season, but we have been absolutely sensational today. Yes they had ten men for most of the match, but you can only beat what’s in front of you, and we’ve annihilated them, let’s be honest. Harvey Elliott is an absolute gem. Brereton has had a blinder. We’ve just been brilliant to watch. Now I’m off out for a substantial meal and several pints. Happy Saturday.
  15. Stream just spinning for me at the minute....
  16. Fair play to Mowbray, that’s probably as good a team as he could have fielded. Over to you now lads!
  17. Mate went to see him three times on his last tour, three different venues. Said it was three completely different sets each time, proper long sets too! What a showman!
  18. I don’t really rate him either tbh, but I wouldn’t wish injury on the lad....
  19. So, just to confirm- you don’t rate Derrick Williams?
  20. For me and I think many others- our best front three would be- Elliott, Arma, Dolan. However, let’s assume that TM still believes in the ‘2.5 attackers’ thing, I can’t imagine him being that risky. With a strong enough midfield behind them though, I think that’s the way to go. As ever though, our problem is at the back, rather than at the front....We do seem to ship a lot of goals! Only early days like, but if we get our best players out there and defend better, we should win more than we lose....
  21. A few from a few posters have been- replying to already hidden posts.
  22. Also- We are all annoyed we’ve lost, but can we all simmer down, stop bickering and point scoring please? Thanks.
  23. Desperately disappointing to lose tonight, however well we may have played. The bottom line though, 6 games, 3 defeats and 2 defeats in a row. Whatever the situation, we need to turn things around and quickly. That includes picking our best players and not relying on players who have let us down time and again any more.
