You’re over complicating things again lad. Very frustrating. We needed defenders more than we needed to sign Sam Gallagher. If we go into the season with Mulgrew at centre half again, we will concede loads of goals. Our own manager said ‘defenders are coming’. If, now they aren’t, then the concession of goals will be coming a lot again....

Given how many goals we shipped last season, new defenders were more of a priority than Sam Gallagher, for example!

I do think that sometimes, people are a bit harsh in response to your posts to be honest, but the bit in bold has me wondering why anyone would ever say this on a Rovers forum unless they were attempting to get some serious bites. A truly terrible comment, it really is. Coyle was an absolutely horrendous manager for us, no ifs, no buts, no maybes. He was the doughnut we all thought and more.

Bit of a daft comment. Anyone would want good players, regardless of where they come from, surely? If they’re academy products, even better, saves on the transfer fees!
