  1. It absolutely blows my mind that anyone is praising Mowbray for not taking more money to improve the squad, in attempts to have a better chance of being promoted. Especially someone who goes everywhere following The Rovers!
  2. Yes you are, it's just deemed as being a bit weird that you change it to something different, but that hasn't been stopped either.
  3. So, let's pretend this isn't football. You're being treated badly at work, you are a popular member of staff, made redundant and then (allegedly) replaced by someone close to a member of senior management. Not think they've a right to have their say? Or even, people not being paid what counterparts doing the same job at other firms are, seek parity with their peers, they get said parity only to be villainised. Football is a job to these guys.
  4. So, let me get this straight. It's now the fault of Brittain, Dolan, Travis and the former player liaison officer for being bitter, greedy, or whatever else and not those in charge who've been clueless since pretty much when they arrived, have a plan? This a parallel universe?
  5. There were so many of these at the gig, it was unreal! In fact, there were tons of the classic ones with Guinness sponsors on the front, too. I'm too old and not in the right enough shape for a footy shirt nowadays anyway 😅.
  6. Nicely put. But, I still think a simpler explanation is that Ismael was told that he needed to get rid of players we could get a fee for and replace them with players that cost and earn less.
  7. I think you're giving them too much credit. They want players that are cheap and managers that are willing to work under the skinflint structure. We aren't set up to push on from a position of strength, only to tread water. Close to the play offs last season? Let's sell the players that got us there. Close to the play offs before that? The aim for the next season? Avoid relegation. I really hope these players turn out to be class and better than those they've replaced, but even if they are, we'll just sell them and then start again. If we aren't giving it our all to get promoted all the time, what's the point?
  8. It's not abuse, it's just piss taking. The guy is absolutely delusional about numerous things, so people find it funny when he fails. Not all that complicated. really.
  9. Imagine that, Rovers fans on a Rovers message board being unhappy that we’ve appointed a poor manager. Whatever next?
  10. By selling one of our best players and replacing him with someone that’s injured? (Unless I’m confusing Baradji with someone else).
  11. In fairness, he did swear on his daughter’s life 😅.
  12. Not quite- still playing in Mexico, at Monterrey.
  13. Yes, definitely. Especially when you don't get Sports with it at that price and people will want other subscriptions that are all £10 a month as well (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Discovery + etc).
  14. Who was this and who did it relate to?
  15. Fair funny that he’s a former defender, but his teams can never defend….
  16. Went to watch Fontaines DC last Friday. Absolutely bang on, really good gig.
  17. His post-match was an exercise in self-delusion.
  18. No it wouldn't. Think back to similar recent events of mass disorder and how many people were nabbed from CCTV retrospectively. Efforts are ongoing in different ways, as I'm sure you know.
  19. So, you aren't willing to do anything, but you expect everyone else to risk their liberty and storm the pitch? Okay then. Thing is, even if that did happen, I'm unconvinced it would make any difference.
  20. Fundamentally, I completely agree with this bit in bold. Only things I'd say are that the world has changed a lot and many people aren't willing to risk a criminal record (can't blame them on that score tbh, as there are cameras everywhere and not just CCTV). Plus, it does get a bit old when people call the fans out for not doing anything, but they wouldn't do anything themselves.
  21. We all know the why= money. But that still doesn't make it right. You'd have thought a match going fan would have some empathy with other match going fans, but as you've demonstrated before, that isn't the case.
  22. But they are there and have been there for the last 15 years.
  23. We aren't finding it difficult to sell players though, are we?
  24. Gonna guess that he's not bothered, as he can watch Sky at home 😅.
  25. We can afford it, we are just unwilling to spend it.
