  1. Not sure why this is causing so much confusion, but how I see it: England did well to get as far as we did in tournaments under Southgate. Some of those draws were lucky, but you can only beat what’s in front of you. It isn’t disrespectful to Southgate to highlight the fact he didn’t win a trophy, it’s just purely factual.
  2. Good for them! If I was spending £60 on a top, it wouldn't be a football shirt, that's for sure.
  3. I'm too old to wear football shirts any more, but even if I wasn't, £60 is silly money for a football shirt.
  4. Good for them. But, given the money we've received for players we've sold, we've got the money to match or go beyond these numbers. It's the fault of our owners that we don't. Wrexham are what it looks like when you try. Rovers are what it looks like when you don't.
  5. There are also some sweet people, but noticed you chose to focus on the bad.
  6. It’s also called trying. Our owners won’t, even though they have the money, especially from selling our best players. Tighter than a submarine door.
  7. We shouldn’t be paying our players miles less than what newly promoted clubs are willing to pay them, there’s no excuse for that.
  8. Nixon being Captain Obvious once more. Rovers struggling to sign players up, because we aren’t willing to part with any cash, despite having billionaire owners.
  9. Thought the whole point was winning trophies, not reaching semi finals?
  10. Ever heard of Lionel Messi before, nah?
  11. Surely, you're taking the piss with this comment?
  12. 1 Year for Batth, with the option of an extra year. Be crazy if we haven't thought about or even done that. So, I suspect we haven't.
  13. Very lucky I got to see him at Kendal Calling one year. R.I.P
  14. I'm not sure that going backwards under Southgate is how I'd frame it, but he'd definitely run out of road. Interestingly, going backwards would probably be more applicable to us so far under Tuchel, tbf.
  15. The Fit and Proper Test pretty much must look like: Prospective Owner- 'Lad, here's a screenshot of my bank balance- never mind that it looks like one that I could have stolen from Google'. EFL- 'Welcome to the family, son'.
  16. Bingo. I actually said the same at the last Fans Forum. I used to religiously watch Match of The Day, every Super Sunday, all Champions League etc. Now I barely even bother.
  17. Was talking about this at work yesterday, but I was saying that when I was a kid, if football was like it is now, with the slow play and aimless sideways passing- I probably wouldn't be a fan of football. Certainly not like I am, anyway.
  18. Aware we are missing a few players, but that still doesn't excuse some of the selections or the start we've made. It's very concerning and it looks like we've gone backwards, tbh. I'll only start really worrying if the September matches are as poor as the ones over the last few days.
  19. That’s wider of the mark than a Chris Brown shot tbh.
  20. They'll spin it as 'we need to work within our wage structure' or some rubbish. Then some fans incapable of critical thought will blame the player for being greedy. Rinse and repeat.
  21. Christ, Matty- that involves some effort, they won't go for that!
  22. Someone on Instagram has said that De Neve 'looks like a stoner from Rishton' 😅.
  23. I think they’ve got better players than anyone else, Spain probably just edge it, though.
  24. Way I see it, Tuchel has been brought in to win a tournament, if he doesn’t manage that, he’s failed, it’s that simple. I don’t think we’ve got as strong of a side as Spain, or even France, tbh, so he’ll have to find a way to win, as we won’t out play them.
