If Rovers are away, I'll sometimes wander down and watch Clitheroe. There's a lot I like about it tbh- having a bev in the stand, the rough and tumble of the non-league and the throwback nature of it all. But, I don't know whether this is due to semi-pro nature of it all or not, but I just can't take it that seriously and when they score, it's a mild clap really. I don't get anything like as enthused as I do with Rovers.

I don’t bother with midweek matches because I start work early. In the past, I’d have arranged a later start, at weekends, I’d move my life around to suit Rovers. Now? It’s very much the other way around.

Got an email from Rovers thanking me for joining them and asking how my experience was at the Sheffield United game last night. I’m a season ticket holder but didn’t attend. So my experience was great, didn’t have to watch those doughnuts get beat again.

A lot of things to do with the club aren't his fault. (Ownership, Gestede and Pasha, etc). But, in terms of matters on the pitch, the buck stops with him. We just look hopeless.

Credit to Slot, all the subs made a difference when they came on. Salah seems a shadow of his former self though, Isak and Wirtz haven’t really gotten going yet and I don’t think Slot rates Chiesa enough to start him. Van Dijk was poor today I thought. United, to their credit played well.

Not sure what Tuchel said about the Wembley atmosphere is worth crying about. It's a graft to get to Wembley midweek and hard to get back via public transport, so that doesn't make for a rousing atmosphere. For me, it would be so much better playing at club grounds around the country and saving Wembley for the important matches.

We played some incredible stuff under JDT, I just wish he’d have been less stubborn and more pragmatic defensively. Still, weird that people have some sort of beef with him, when he was, like any manager that works under them, hamstrung by the owners.
