Things continue to improve and rebuild the relationship with the fan base

There is still hysteria on this forum. We have 29 points in the bag already, that is a solid base imo to progress through a December tough series of matches and into the new year. great result and much better across the board

Continuity is the main thing, staff and players all signed up to new deals gives a solid base to further the club

ROVERS v Sheff Wed
1864roverite replied to blueboy3333's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
A very difficult game for Rovers on the back of 2 away derby thrashings. TM and co have to get this right from the 1st minute. Dack will be marked out if the game as the opposition know he makes us tick therefore we need a plan b which I don’t think we have. 3-5-2 for me we might sneak a scrappy win but would take a draw, defeat is not an option -
Wigan V ROVERS 28/11/18

Just back in Westhoughton let me say that that was the most abject display since Coyle was sacked. Truly abysmal from the 1st minute. Wrong formation, wrong team and not one player seemed to know his position or how the team was set up to play. wigan kicked us off the park with ease, they harried bullied and made that count at the right moment. Have to say that Vaughan should have been sent off in the first minute so bad was his challenge, and indeed the ref didn’t do himself any favours after that. Something isn’t quite right but it better change before we find ourselves down the bottom of the table. Worst thing of the night was seeing Williams lack of basic defensive knowledge just after we had scored and that from an international player. Total shocker -

Wiggin have two very tall and gangly centre halves and thismisnthenreason why I would have Brereton on th edit however from the off, his pace will worry them alongside the guild of Graham. Play Dack just behind them and go with a 3-5-2 formation as wiggin will almost certainly play Grigg on his own up front. Venturing to the game parking is awful but there are plenty of side streets on the opposite side of the canal as you walk from the centre towards the ground. Just watch out for the mounds of dog turds! -

I can imagine those in office looking at this team and the performances and thinking just how much they fooked up. Come on ladies ram it straight down their pompous throats⚽️⚽️ -

Think Wigan have similar issues to what we see on here! will some on here just grow up and respect others who have differing opinions to yours! On to the game it will be a tough one would love to see us win but think it has a draw written all over it! -

Re drinking around Preston. If you’ve got colours on you’ve virtually no chance of getting in any pub. Tbh apart from the city centre there isn’t a lot of choic as Preston’s a knob hole in any case, stay in the outskirts, brig, leyland and Walton le dale areas will be fine and bus it into town. Enjoy the day and bring the points home⚽️
-
Havin* worked there for 26 yrs I suggest parking near the town centre and walking, alternative is park and ride paying £2.50 is cheaper than a new window and loss of items from your car. At best the area around dump dale is chaotic gridlock and there are not a lot of options to get away easily.

Ground safety rules nowt to do with pne police or the EFL
-
I am afraid around Preston’s ground is crime riddled both the damage and thievery if I was you I would park in Town and walk to the ground, alternatively park and ride options are better be it from the docks or the capital centre
-
There is no power to hold you against your will or detain you without reason. You cannot be herded onto a bus because an officer demands it. You cannot be stopped without any reason same for being stopped and search there has to be a reason unless you are about to enter the ground. Clearly landlords can prevent entry into their pubs it’s their decision. I accept that if 500 fans tipped out at the railway station it is likely there would be an escort of some description that’s a common sense factor. The police can offer direction but if there is a public safety issue they will take the necessary steps and action. Let common sense prevail.

It’s not happening train strike already in place that day anyhow with trains restricted. The cops haven’t the resources to do a Burnley! Believe me!

I think you can be assured police won’t be bussing any rovers fans anywhere, I have no idea where you get this inane rumour from??

Folks, my partner and I were successful in bidding for a signed Rovers ladies shirt, it is signed by the current first team squad with their numbers next to their signatures. It’s the red shirt and is immaculate in condition, the signatures are not smudged and it isn’t framed. We got the shirt raising money for several charities. I would now like to offer the shirt to anyone who is raising money for a charitable cause as a donation as I believe it’s the right thing to do. So if any fellow Rovers fans is wanting a gift to try and raise some extra donations for their charitable cause please contact me so that I can arrange for the shirt to be handed to them. The shirt is not a gift or a trophy, it is to raise money for a good cause. Thanks

Expectations for the season
1864roverite replied to K-Hod's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The questions what does TM have to do to the squad to improve it in January to take us on to the next level, the level that puts us in the top 8? For me, we need another central defender and we definitely need a left sided midfielder whilst a Premier League lean forward wouldn’t go amiss! Rovers are up there on merit and if we can get another 10 points on the board pre Christmas it would make for happy reading, even more so if we can beat Rotherham, nobbers and pie eaters before the end of this month! not too much to ask I know?? It’s really up to the players to see just how far we can go, teamwork and the current work ethic has to get us through the winter months and then come spring they can take the final leap to the promised land [and then venkys intervened]??
