v Middlesbrough (h) - 16/09/20231864roverite replied to Upside Down's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard We have different views, the one thing that matters is 3 points and a win. Should have been a landslide with Dolan and Gally guilty of 3 horrid missed whilst SS should have scored the hat trick he fully deserved. We move on to Wednesday and the return of a certain Mr Dack. Tidsy is another reversed result from last season. Again another positive

It is well documented throughout football where footballers have been subjected to offers from clubs but that those offers were subsequently rejected by club officials resulting in players demanding moves, going on strike or generally sulking like babies. We have our own examples in the Savage affair with Brum many moons ago. So, if BB was so KEEN to get a move AND bids were received that HE believed were reasonable then it is REASONABLE to suggest that he MAY have taken such a line. Truth is he didn't take that line, he might have sulked a bit, but if he wanted to have moved then he could easily have forced it despite the view of the owners, players hold that power. What I have written is a suggestion NOT fact, and is opinion based.

If he wanted to move he would have asked to move especially if he was aware of a suitable bid being made. So that says to me no suitable bid materialised from a club that allegedly showed interest in him. So it not as much bollocks as you make out. It’s reality as any financials are irrelevant be it a severance or loss of loyalty bonus versus potential increased wages and/or signing fee!
-
It keeps being mentioned Rovers should have sold him however a point that is constantly missed is that he didn’t want to move nor was a suitable bid for him ever received ! At 18 months to go in a contract footballers have the ace cards not the clubs

I thought GB was very open and honest about the situation, something that SW should aspire to if you ask me.

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)1864roverite replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard They will be left with no choice - continue to fund or sell up

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)1864roverite replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard The level of debt is theirs so does it matter how much it is? One things for certain, if the club is sold then venkys will take their debt with them

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)1864roverite replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard I read it slightly differently - investment worldwide is good for all countries. The fact that property has been seized suggests a fraud investigation is in full swing. Setting up a business with paperwork suggesting a business of mining and then purchasing a dwelling through it is clearly a fraudulent deal with intention of not paying corporation tax and all that goes with it. I could be wrong but it does suggest massive wrongdoing on someone’s behalf

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)1864roverite replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard I am pretty unsure as why he has been employed NOW! Furthermore I am unsure as to what he can bring to the game working from India. My question would be what can he improve and how can he improve it? If anything I see it perhaps weakening SW position and as GM alluded to replacing Cheston. I keep reading these tax laws and overseas investments - it’s faff all to do with anything else other than Venkys have committed financial crime(s) in India - I cannot see any regulations preventing overseas investments unless they are fraudulent transactional activity. This is what is being investigated !

v Middlesbrough (h) - 16/09/20231864roverite replied to Upside Down's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard Tough game on Saturday - 1-1 for me Rovers will give Boro time and space and this time Boro won’t miss the chances they have been doing. Rovers can exploit them but that means scoring first . Let’s hope Gally is fit to lead the line as he gives DL nightmares

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)1864roverite replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard It’s telling me someone in their business empire is going to jail 😅 - I cannot see it linking Rovers or the club it’s their business dealings that are under scrutiny Indianhave no jurisdiction over their UK operations that falls under SFO and as we all know nothing appears to be happening with them otherwise the whole footballing world would know of warrants being executed at Ewood, swags house and everyone else linked in the senior management team

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)1864roverite replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard That bbc article isn’t worth the pages it’s written on! The real issue at hand is whether venkys and their business empire have committed financial crimes in India - that is the be all and end all of it!

Because he has been living near us in rented accommodation !!

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)1864roverite replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard If any office in the UK was linked SFO would have raided it before property in India was seized to link and lion for corroboration of evidence such as bank accounts, documents and other lines of enquiry. They haven’t done so and that says to me it’s an Indian investigation only. The statement from Rovers is poor

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)1864roverite replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard I doubt the sentencing guidelines in India do not reflect the UK’s! UK law is far different than India’s or anywhere else for that matter!

He is overweight unfit and nowhere near as good as he was at Ewood

Venky’s v Indian Government (a)1864roverite replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard It’s probably noting more than mortgage fraud over in the UK!
-
Venky’s v Indian Government (a)1864roverite replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard Clearly it’s a tax issue in India NOT the UK. Looking at it with a wide angle many in here can cast their minds back to 2011-2014 when it was suggested that all events and happening at the time could have been considered dodgy! My thoughts are that IF they are found to have committed offences such like in India then someone is going to prison and for a good few years ! It might be in their interest to offload the club asap unless they have a solid defence or alternatively scapegoat who can take the blame
-
Venky’s v Indian Government (a)1864roverite replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard Maybe the right time for a potential buyer to take the club off their hands at a very reasonable price especially if the debt to V’s is wiped
-
The biggest issue SW is failing in is his constant droning about how he wants to engage with the fans and support - he needs to tell the owners that the fans expect engagement and communication from them as well as he and that it’s now an urgent issue which is causing serious consternation
