23/24 kit; is a new sponsor needed?
1864roverite replied to alex l's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I found it much simpler to do a lot of research and then speak to him. You give him options to give answers and then challenge him with the result of your research only then do you get a proper answer! -

Those who like the product obviously 😅 -
You are misguided with this view - Rovers have steadily seen more supporters from the Muslim community coming to watch games and they are well into Rovers. It’s great to see and we have a few who sit behind us and they enjoy the football and engage with other fans so long may it continue . It’s great to see that bigotry and racial hatred is not a thing at Ewood these days

Moving on from this I actually wrote to Rovers about the fan zone and how it can be completely improved to give the fan zone a much better experience. It also included how ti improve food and drink and I used the Bolton fan zone as an example. At BWFC the fan zone is very well organised and well attended. Various food options, plenty of drink options, entertainment and football screens a plenty and it is superbly managed. When I last visited there was over 1000 people in there with plenty of standing and seating and the whole experience was great BUT fan orientated. At Ewood, there is great scope to increase the fan zone area. Move the bars to the fencing adjacent to the river, place extra covering and seating where the original bar is, allow various food options, sell bottled beer and wine, have more tv/entertainment and so on. Sadly, nothing has come back since which epitomises the current senior management team

Ignorant fools ? Not sure about that ! There have been changes, there are further changes happening now and no doubt will do so in the future ! My own personal gripe is that Rovers and SW still haven’t grasped how to communicate with the fan base and this is probably why there are changes behind the scene around this particular topic. Someone also asked if I think SW is a competent CEO well in short I don’t and never have even though I understand the operating conditions he is still way off the shortfalls I highlighted to him but then again I am not a CEO just a mere concerned fan

I say kudos to the fans who go, the fans who take the notes etc. Within the minutes it tells you the next meeting, there is a name, email and contact number so I say to those demanding answers, get down to the meeting or alternatively do as the minutes say and then you might get an answer deserving of your whinge🤫

End of season report
1864roverite replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Utter shite - total failure ??? it’s a B - progression with an element of stability and bringing the academy players though who have done themselves and the club proud ! -
The issues around BBD are evident. Those saying we should have sold him may take into consideration that as far as I am aware we only had one "official" bid for him and none were from an English based club, the likes of Fulham, Leeds and Everton never actually materialised into concrete figures. On his current form, he wont last long in Spain, no skill on the ground where it will be required and the defenders in that league do not take prisoners!

It was the actual response sent by Rovers to the irrelevant question that was late. We all know an agreement was made in and from various sources, it is the unnecessary bits that caused the issues. -

Absolutely not! This who are to be held accountable should be held to account and not hide behind a face as has been done. -
He is a quality player and like all footballers he can have a bad game!

You cannot legislate a player going back in his word having agreed to a loan deal. You cannot legislate when the EFL ask a question that in my view is irrelevant in the final hour of the transfer window and when the question is responded to, albeit 8-10 minutes after the deadline has passed and then fail to use common sense in allowing the transfer(s) to go ahead. You cannot legislate for a young and inexperienced player failing to complete his own paperwork correctly and then sending it off unaware he has made a basic error. Changes are required in ownership and I retain a view that Rovers need a NEW CEO, a dynamic think out of the box type CEO who can bring the club wholly together to work within the current set up and finally a new secretary with competence attached to his CV! -

JHC you want him out???? We have seen some drivel this season, Coventry, Wigan, Burnley, Preston, Rotherham to name but a few, but over the season we have progressed on the pitch given the resources. Think back to ore season and many supporters expected us to struggle, we did but we still found ourselves top 8 looking at a chance of a play off, we still have a chance even now. So overall, the season hasnt been that bad despite the above. Yes JDT appears to have made mistakes but who hasnt? Klopp/Pep and may other top managers make cock ups at times, this is his first effort in a good league, give the lad a chance and lets see of the progression moves forward next season especially with the talent we already have at the cub and all of who will have gained considerable experience wise. -

You very CLEARLY have no idea as to the process that was in place and the reasons why it was a cock up of huge proportion. It was down to admin and late submission of paperwork after the additional info was raised. Rovers have admitted as much and the reason for the appeal was based around semantics of the actual processes. GB did not have any paperwork to complete or deal with, and he took the blame as a face because neither SW or the secretary had the bollocks to face up to their failures. Instead of relying in comments from bizarre hysteria/misinformation do yourself a favour and research the issue yourself to find out the reality, you might just satisfy yourself that blame lies with others. -

You cannot level blame at GB the appointment came late so move on. The issue was the club secretary who reports to SW who is to blame for the mother of all fuck ups. -

Absolutely awful to see that shite dancing around our pitch😡 the 1 shit led to a goal - a goal that they have scored a good few times. It was criminal to show Benson the inside as he punishes defenders. Aside of the above Rovers failed to test their keeper that is the real issue here. Great turn out and a good atmosphere but it’s fallen flat because we more than matched them but we just didn’t have the killer touch. positives Wharton and JRC negatives Hyam and Carter stupidly passing the ball across the line and carter for losing the ball unnecessarily which led to their winner Now it’s shit or bust on Monday Robers will need the crowd with them if we are to get 3 points -
