  1. Same here. The de Lange farce has totally p1ssed me off now.
  2. This is what happens when you p1ss about. Snooze and you lose.
  3. Reports de Lange in Marseille for medical. Feckin sh1te Rovers.
  4. Eustace will never have a better chance than to get off the mark at Ewood with his first league win. Derby have problems - no first choice goalie, injuries and suspensions. Opening season bets are on - Rovers to win 11/8 and by 3 goals to 1 at 16/1. Crisis, what crisis!?
  5. Brian Clough did not sign Peter Shilton and then say to Shilts 'bide your time young man, the jersey is John Middleton's to lose'. Likewise neither did Kenny with Flowers who was signed to replace Mimms. Bring de Lange in and drop Pears immediately. If he doesn't like it, show him the exit door. No room for sentiment. No decision to make. Simple as.
  6. You just couldn't make it up! Imbecilic understanding and behaviour.
  7. No one is saying we immediately accept £500k less for SS or pay £400k more for de Lange - it's a negotiation but my goodness it always seems at a snail's pace by Rovers. Where two parties are minded to do a deal, as they are in these two transfers, then you sit down, hammer it out and get the feckin deal closed. With SS - clearly, the lad wants to go and almost certainly wont play for us again. Not only is this unsettling for the lad but for the group as a whole. He needs to be out the building. With de Lange, all protracted negotiations do is alert other potential suitors and you risk losing the player. Who can ever forget us losing Roy Keane to United because Rovers' offices were closed on a Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!! Snooze and you lose - it's that simple.
  8. Think it's time for Rovers to stop pissing about with SS and de Lange deals. Reportedly, we now have differences of £500k and £400k respectively. In the overall scheme of things, these amounts are chicken shit. Our season kicks-off in 3 days and JE, our group and the individuals themselves need clarity and to know where they stand. When you are so close you just find a feckin way through accepting very rarely will you get the price you want for a sale and, conversely, you end up paying a bit for a purchase.
  9. Agree with the sentiment but on a substantial 3 year contract will take some feckin shifting!
  10. If I was a Stoke fan I'd be seriously worried about this season's prospects if Travis follows Gallagher and Ennis there. May well be looking for a new manager before a dozen games have been played. If Travis goes, we will need 2 new midfielders, 1 defensive and 1 offensive. Overall, we are still half a dozen players light. A big concern is all these players arriving so close to the season starting - no time to establish a pattern of play and to gel. We need a fast start to get confidence, momentum flowing. We might not recover from a slow stuttering start.
  11. If I remember correctly (after nearly 40 years), it was Vince O'Keefe against Ipswich in a night match and Simon Garner went into goal and Rovers won!
  12. and I wasn't the only one!!!! Anyhow, delighted Szmodics proved me wrong in his second season with us. As for Dolan, I'll stick with my opinion, however, I would be absolutely delighted if he has a storming season for us but I wont be holding my breath! By the way, have you found Dyche in La Manga yet!?!?
  13. Agree - at 21 years old he aint showing anywhere near enough for me. As posted before, when he first broke through thought we had a 'find' - sadly, IMO, regressed badly under Mowbray. A decent fee and he'd have to go for me. Dolan's 'pressing role' should be only to the exit door. IMO, overrated, flatters to deceive and a little upstart. I know video highlights can be misleading but de Lange looks a 'proper goalie'! A good tall physique, reads the game well, very athletic and really strong hands - totally different class to Pears.
  14. Has very, very little football intelligence. The great Bobby Moore was slow but the first few yards were in his head and he rarely got caught out.
  15. Not a Pickering fan - think he's bang average. Gallagher has not developed - best form for Rovers, with goals, was ironically under Coyle. Had high hopes of Travis when he broke through and we was box to box and funnily enough could then pick a pass or two. Sadly, Mowbray changed him for the worse and the lad has badly regressed.
  16. Fingers crossed for a keeper who clearly comes in as our number 1 !!! If a keeper comes in to 'challenge' Pears then IMO, he can be no better than the calamity we already have! Think Dolan and agent(s) playing a game. He simply aint that good - would cash-in now providing, and that's a big proviso, we could use the monies to strengthen.
  17. If I had a tenner for every time Chaddy has come out with this since the Accie match then I'd be able to buy Rovers myself! We get it Chaddy!
  18. As posted before, we shouldn't have signed O'Riordan. Having played 70ish league games including a loan spell in Scotland, he should have been ready enough and good enough to play games in our first team. Heard JE is not a fan - if correct, another pointless signing especially as we paid decent money for him.
  19. Good luck Big Mac - I really hope you are feckin sensational!
  20. May well be Ipswich know we are absolutely done for money and these potential signings are dependent upon pocketing some sale proceeds for SS - like any good management, would, trying to screw us down. Think the gap is close enough for it to happen as we are absolutely desperate. The alternative - don't let SS go and have one hugely disaffected player in your ranks and send the potential new signings at Brockhall back. Tractor Boys have played a stormer just like Wee Dougie did with Wharton. Oh for some nous at Ewood.
  21. The great irony is it was Coyle who got the most out of Gallagher in terms of performance and goals!
  22. Read this thread this morning and thought how sad and depressing. Just catching up with the latest on here and now even more sad and depressing. Think it's clear we've become even more of a shambles, if that's possible, under Waggott and Pasha - I think the club's stock must be at an all time low in the game. Hope I am wrong but think these latest signings, if we even manage to get them over the line, reak of utter desperation. IMO, will take a miracle for us not to get relegated this season.
  23. More depressing by the day. Shouldn't be going near Fleck even with the proverbial sh1tty stick. Just why on earth are we even thinking about Baker at Stoke - we have far more pressing needs. Bad news about Leonard and Gilsenan. Particularly concerned with Leonard's shoulder injury - high chance dislocation will happen again in a physical contact sport and then it will be the inevitable surgery. Does anyone really think we will get half a season's games out of Siggy - another injury prone liability
  24. He's a Cheshire 'boy' as are many footballers - Mobberley, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Knutsford are the popular areas. Some stunning properties all 2 to 3 times as much as even the Ribble Valley.
  25. Why wouldn't Gallagher not be interested in a Stoke move - he lives in Cheshire (think it's Knutsford - seen him out and about there on a couple of occasions) and is therefore some 20+ miles c;loser than where he travels to now and he'll have a longer contract with more dosh at a club with more ambition and serious owners. A no brainer.
