  1. Totally agree. IMO, Lowe is the most uninspiring coach I've seen with Rovers - a man lost in his own world I think.
  2. IF Mowbray goes to India then, IMO, it is bad news for those of us desperate for a change in manager. If he goes out there then I think it's pretty certain he will come back with an extended contract. I think we are a very dysfunctional club as evidenced by the range of views / gossip doing the rounds - the wind seems to change direction on almost a daily basis. To me, there's been too much 'noise' since early April for Mowbray to be given an extended contract.
  3. IMO, no agent worth his salt would look to tie a talented player to a club going nowhere under a dinosaurial manager.
  4. It's simple - think Mowbray has got a way with murder in empty stadiums. Now the fans are back, IMO, he can't handle the stick coming his and the team's way.
  5. Rovers win today in a high scoring thriller. Think Dick Keogh always has been an accident waiting to happen - a sandwich short of a picnic! At almost 2/1, a great chance to get the Christmas fund going.
  6. This is not " baiting for the sake of it". There are some, including Chaddy, who I think change their opinions about Mowbray like the wind. Chaddy was immensely pro Mowbray until the latter games of last season and then thought Mowbray had to go, now he seems happy with Mowbray mainly, it would seem, due to a decent start (result wise) to the season. You don't see Chaddy intentionally riling others.......................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The main purpose of my post was to point out what a half decent manager can do to a club in a fraction of the time Mowbray has had. After less than two years there, O'Neill has Stoke on the move in the right direction and I would bet the house on Stoke finishing far higher than Rovers in the Championship. IMO, this is in stark contrast to what I consider is Mowbray's five wasted years in charge. If you or others find me annoying then simply put me on ignore.
  7. Good win for Stoke tonight. Up to third just a point behind first and second. O'Neill joined Stoke less than 2 years ago when bottom of Championship. Oh for a manager who knows what the feck he's doing. 5 years of Mowbray @chaddyrovers and where the feck are we on his 'journey'?!
  8. Clearly, you didn't stand on Blackpool's Spion Kop in the late 1960's when it was sometimes like a war zone when we met including the infamous ammonia throwing incident!
  9. Wish I was only on £10k / week!!! My understanding is it was more than that and made him one of our highest earners! However, puts paid to those on here who thought Leeds were paying him a pittance!
  10. The season Leeds were promoted (2019/20), their wage bill was reported around the £80million mark (and this is in the public domain). It has since rocketed (now believed to be substantially in excess of £100million) including a new five year new deal for Bamford understood to be way ahead of the £2million you mentioned. I have no reason to believe the information about Poveda's salary is incorrect. After all, a few years ago even the likes of Jason Lowe were earning a fortune in the blue and white halves.
  11. Last season, I think you will find Leeds' wage bill was substantially in excess of £100million - almost five times the level of Rovers. The information came from a source who would certainly have access to that kind of knowledge and I would give it a 90%+ rating as being correct.
  12. I think I know to the nearest £thousand / per week. My understanding is his Leeds' salary is £2MILLION+ pa and the + is significant!!!
  13. Think it's his pay packet -unbelievable what he's on at Leeds and what Rovers are coughing up for him. You could have wrote the script for tonight. Whilst Mowbray remains in charge don't think anything will ever change. Hugely difficult game at Blackpool who have a manager who knows just what the feck he's doing.
  14. I think there is much to 'come out in the wash' and when Mowbray does go, I think there will be some interesting readings!
  15. Think Wilder in danger of thinking he's 'too big' - a number of clubs are understood to have had a nibble including us, WBA and Forest.
  16. Not my wish! Have made this clear from the start. However, IMO, far superior to our dinosaurial incumbent.
  17. If only the Indian way of doing things was that simple...............................I'll say no more.
  18. Paradoxically, I think Rovers' decent start, results' wise, makes Mowbray's position more vulnerable in that more would be managers out there are more inclined to step into the Ewood hot seat. For what it's worth, I think Neill would crawl over broken glass to become our manager and I also think the Raos know this. Decision time is here with Mowbray's contract running down!!!
  19. You are right, think Hull are shite. Expect Mowbray to produce one of his 'get out of jail' performances / results in front of Sky TV cameras that will have commentators / pundits drooling just what a 'terrific job Mowbray is doing under extreme circumstances'. Tonight is one of those licence to print money games and with Rovers at just about evens, I've banged on enough to make Christmas a bit more special this year.
  20. Think you are being a bit naive there Gav! Do you honestly think Neil would admit to a random Rovers' fan that he'd been sounded out particularly when the club has a manager in situ!?!? I'm pretty certain there's more to this than meets the eye!
  21. A relative with good PNE connections has been flagging this possibility with me for the last 8/9 months. There would be no compensation now as he's out of work and where he lives, he's just a short 15/20 minute drive from Brockhall. I understand Wilder was sounded out some time ago but thought there were bigger fish in the sea than Rovers.
  22. I posted this on Thursday and Nixon posts his story today. I stand by my Thursday post and think the next Rovers' manager will be either Alex Neil or Chris Wilder and sooner than many on here would think.
  23. I think it is fair to assume all is not hunky dory at Rovers. I get the impression that morale is generally poor among staff. A number of us thought Mowbray would be through the exit door in days following the home defeat to Bournemouth back in April. IMO, there is neither rhyme nor reason behind many decisions made at Rovers. I think there is an air of unpredictability and idiosyncrasy about Rovers and despite having got off to a decent start and the closure of the transfer window, it would not surprise me in the least if we soon saw the departure of Mowbray.
  24. Think Waggott is in his sixties and Mowbray and Venus mid to late fifties. I would think hunger and ambition deserted them a long time ago and who could blame them for wanting and maintaining hugely paid jobs on 'Easy Street'. I think they are third raters and probably know this in their own minds and Rovers are probably their last chance to top up pension funds. Staggering that the Raos and Suhail fail to see this.
  25. If I was a 'prominent' Rovers' player with just 12 months remaining on my contract, I would simply look at what has happened at the club in recent times including this transfer window and say to myself 'why the hell do I want to stay here'. I think getting them to sign new contracts is highly unlikely and what we realise in fees will be minimal. I think our outlook is terrifying and goodness knows what our team will look like 12 months on. Sadly, unless, IMO, insanity prevails, Waggott and Mowbray will be out of it without a care in the world other than keeping track on their vastly enhanced bank accounts following their Rovers' employment.
