  1. Past hour
  2. With regards to topic subject... It's as simple as it always was... We have the worst owners in football, so... Don't turn up or you get what you pay for.
  3. I said it last night but I dont think he is under any pressure whatsoever from Pasha/Rudy. He is carrying out their plan to the letter, which is to try and develop academy lads and foreign gambles into profitable assets. The league position and performances I honestly think have no bearing on his job security currently. Maybe if we start losing 3-0 week in week out it will become untenable but feels like at the moment he has been given a free pass with the injuries by those above. He even said last week that this month was basically a write off based on squad availability. They can carry out their plan in front of an empty stadium as far as I am concerned as us fans dont matter in the slightest.
  4. Totally agree. Rank bad appointment in the first place
  5. Six weeks ago it was "we'll climb the table when Tronstad and Cantwell are back" - we haven't. It's now: "I'm not worried as when we get thirteen players back we'll be fine." When that still isn't working, it'll be back to the refs fault again. Apart from Pasha, Gestede and Ismael we all know how this ends.
  6. Fantastically written, Ian. I wish you didn't have to write it as it's a sobering read, but I agree with every word.
  7. One big upgrade he could make is to swap out captain marvel, McLoughlin, for Pickering at LCB - Harry has never let us down in that position. He was also extremely liked by two managers who shouldn't ever be mentioned in the same sentence as Valerien Ismael. Clearly it's pounds, kids and favourites before common sense, so I don't expect anything to change.
  8. "Injuries mean Blackburn 'cannot compete' - Ismael" If semi-pro Macclesfield can compete and beat Premier League Crystal Palace then we should be able to compete against other Championship players. To me that is someone who is out of ideas and is not up for the challenge. Time to go.
  9. Glen says these are legit. Will grab the popcorn for the Gestede one - I hope it shows him to be the inept clown we all know he truly is.
  10. This may have been mentioned in another thread, but for anyone on X/Twitter, there is a prank call with Gestede that is going to be released by @BRFCPrivy7414. One has already been released with Pasha who said Pearsy is for sale but "Gestede is the one to speak to about transfers". It could, of course, be AI generated (who can tell these days!) but it seems legit.
  11. VI, like several other managers, has probably been lied to about recruitment. He certainly won’t have expected to lose points because of a waterlogged pitch, which was due to lack of investment. You do wonder how long our owners can keep pulling the wool over managers eyes, they come in with the best of intentions, but are quickly hung out to dry. VENKYS OUT - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS
  12. It is to downsize the club to a level where they no longer have to fund it. They want the club to be self-sufficient.
  13. Was just about to say the same. He'll get sacked but only when the window is shut.
  14. It's a really good point - stop suggesting the lack of crowd will materially impact the players. The boycott is principally to draw more attention to what's happening to the CLUB. Wouldn't be surprised if we actually play well and win with an even tinier crowd and less pressure..
  15. We would need the ins and outs of the contract to even hazard a guess. I'd avoid saying any figures as I know people from the club will read this board not worth running the risk!
  16. Mowbray had his death spirals but this is beyond that. They've left the club to rot and Gestede and Pasha are just the grave diggers. And neither own a spade.
  17. I agree. Both thanks to shit ownership.
  18. If that was his plan then it confirms what we already knew, that he isn't very bright.
  19. I think Rovers and Sheff Wed will be relegated long before anyone else.
  20. It's about giving off an impression. Gestede's first managerial appointment after he had seen off that annoying Eustace so it was all about showing everyone there was a plan and a project for the longer term. I'm convinced part of his ability to persuade the dogsbody that he was the next big thing was to show that Eustace was a 'short term' manager - pointing at his transfer dealings with older players like Batth and Weimann - whereas Gestede was able to provide something 'longer term'. Handing 'his man' 3.5 years was a message - I have a plan and this is it being delivered. All sounds and looks good until you have to put it into practice with minimal funding and idiots running it.
  21. Perhaps someone lacking the appropriate experience got a bit giddy, and the other guy who hasn't got one clue about footballers and managers just agreed as it was lunchtime, and the nice biscuits were out.
  22. Today
  23. Injuries are part of football, but the volume and morale of players and fans is down to the environment. Rovers has suffered the same fate, fading away for the last 5 years, but when has the manager or board going to look in the mirror. The lack of planning, transfer gambles, common sense around letting the whole spine of British, championship experience walked out the door was criminal. The attendences are poor so i'm not surprised the players prefer playing away with some atmosphere. The injuries are because: The recruitment over the years has been terrible so players can't get rotated as quality nose dives. Most recently Val played Litherland & Forshaw 3 games back to back .... hamstrings gone The pitch at Ewood is a mud bath and will take its toll on the players The pitch has resulted in playing 2 extra games I'm sure there are more examples Val and the board can't moan, they caused this. The fans have a right to moan and be worried for the future.
  24. VI will leave on the 4th feb after a drab 1-1 against Sheffield Wednesday. Transfer window will be shut, the fanbase will be split in the 'Give it Dunny til the end of the season camp' and the 'i'm not going to another game until all these shysters have left.' More infighting within the fanbase and ultimately we finish 22nd on goal difference come the end of the season.
  25. Ismael is only here to do what this regime wants, and that is to downsize the club to a manageable level for them. Plenty more work to do after the first relegation is confirmed, whether that this season or next season.
