Since Yuri Ribeiro has signed a new contract but nothing else is imminent. Tronstad has one year left on his current deal at the end of the season. He is one of three important players in the same boat, as well as Lewis Travis and Callum Brittain.

I don't know Glen personally. I have no idea what he claims is true, and so because I can't take those stories at face value on that basis, it's beyond him how anyone can defend the club? Glen may be right. Probably is. I get a bit perturbed by the mob mentality that, unless I believe him and base everything I think on what he says, that my opinion is unfathomable. I don't even really have an opinion because I don't know what goes on behind the scenes. Has Rudy given his account of what has gone on? Or is it Glen's side of the story and that's that?

Wow selling Hyam at the last minute is really extraordinarily stupid. Dont think I have ever seen this level of churn at a club not in financial meltdown. But i guess we are in a financial meltdown, just a slow burning one. That we have managed to spend millions on fees but not be able to get a single senior player to extend their contract in 2 years is completely mad. But I suppose its easily explained by a low wage ceiling and lack of any engagement and long term planning from the owners. With the new info on Gestede thrown into the mix. How Gestede, a man with no experience, has ended up effectively chairing the club is another in a great list of Venkys mysteries.

TGH really stood out and rose under Ismael with his defensive abilities in midfield. A real grafter and more in the Travis mould if we are playing with two defensives.

We are in serious trouble if Wharton is going to be first choice center half, I’m talking relegation the guy is absolutely abysmal I’m sick to the back teeth of that twat Gestede being at this club. Trying for a balanced, non-emotive view on this window, and God it's hard when players who have given so much effort leave en masse. I think it's fair to say fans were sick of players leaving for nothing. It's also responsible to have an affordable pay structure. However the club clearly has something wrong when it can't retain any senior players. The only scenarios I can think of where you'd usually sign so many players is either a) promotion and needing to improve your squad or b) following relegation and an exodus. A) has players you'll have awareness of, we're much closer to which is alarming for a club who nearly made the top 6. The board have gone all in on the approach. If it's a bad season it's all on them.

So to recap in numbers, based off last season. 19,863 minutes of experience have left this summer 232 Championship starts between them 3 of our top 5 appearance-makers have departed permanently 2 stooges 1 inexperienced pariah playing “real-life Football Manager” 0 contract renewals

When the fixture list came out, my reaction was the sequences were such that they could relegate us if we messed up. After this window I am now alarmed. Quietly all through yesterday the clubs that could be fellow travellers in distress were strengthening while we were selling the centre back who had spent every minute of the last 50 games on the park.

If what Glen tells us is true, and I've no reason to disbelieve a guy who's put so much effort into finding out the truth about what's going on behind the scenes at Ewood, then I'm on the brink of turning my back on knowing anymore shit about our club.
