  1. Past hour
  2. All of those, and a few more Honor in the U21s Wolsoncroft, Thompson, Holt in the U18s O'Leary is 29, he isn't being brought in as an academy player, most of those will be leaving within a year or 3 without making a dent in our first team
  3. O'Leary is a fairly steady keeper at this level I think, ever present in the last two seasons for a side that finished 11th & 6th. Been injured a while then spent a bit of time on the bench, but has got himself back in the side playing there last 5 games. There will be nothing in this one I'm sure.
  4. Here's a fun fact. In our last 20 games - Tronstad and Gudjohnsen have both started 5 times (and we've won all 5). Of the 15 games where they didn't both start, we've not won a single one. Guaranteed home win.
  5. How much do you think Toth would fetch if sold then? Edit: Not the most reliable guide I know but Ai and Transfer Market have his estimated value at £700 k. Id say that's a bit low but I wouldnt pay silly money for him.
  6. He was on their radar but nothing happened. I imagine he will be back on their radar if he continues as he is. Although being 28 he has time.
  7. Rangers wanting Dan Neil on loan but his contracts up in the summer, would be a great Tronstad replacement and captain, if we had ambition
  8. On either the loans or the Academy thread thought I read we had 1) Toth 2) Pears 3)Michaelowski 4) Goddard 5) Jack Barrett 6) A lad called Khan? (May have the name wrong but no-one seemed to rate him) plus maybe even one other? Apologies if Im wrong.
  9. I put the word in your mouth, but when you say some random from Bristol City wouldn't have to be very good to be an upgrade on Toth, it suggests a very low opinion of him, one I can't imagine is shared by more than a handful of fans across the whole fanbase. I wasn't looking for confrontation, I'm just stunned you don't think he is at least a steady, dependable keeper at this level. Tbh I think you tend to form your judgements on players early and not let them go when they improve or settle in. I suspect your opinion of Toth is based 90% on him being a bit wobbly at first when he came in last season. Since we got relegated, Toth is the most dependable keeper we've had bar Kaminski, and we've tried quite a few. Obviously Raya was the most gifted, but a bit prone to errors (still really liked him overall at the time, but I can't say he was consistently dependable to the same degree as the other two). This O'Leary would have to be a very good keeper at Championship level to improve on Toth.
  10. A few years ago he was being looked at by Bayern as a second/third choice if I recall
  11. I've a feeling he will be at a big German club before long. Perhaps a Raya style transfer Rovers > bottom 8 prem team > top 4 foreign team.
  12. Not going to argue with anyone who says he's better than Pears and he's improved since he first arrived but imo he's not that good no. "Shit" is your term looking for confrontation not mine.
  13. Seriously? Toth is an excellent keeper at this level, and a full international with good experience too. He is also on the ascendancy in his career, unlike Pears who seems to be flatlining. That's why someone will get good money for him (notice I didn't say 'the club', as we know any funds incoming are mysteriously trousered and have no relationship to funds allocated for purchases).
  14. Pears agreed Toth for me has been excellent this season and looks a fine keeper
  15. Think the tone for this window is well and truly set. Any budget surplus from the summer window will not be spent. I think this window there will be a net trading surplus on player trading. Will be no surprise to see either Toth or Alebiosu, or even both, sold. Our target market will be desperados, loans that cost almost feck all (as Cashin) and cheap unproven imports from Europe.
  16. Seriously? You think Toth is shit?
  17. Toth will be sold by the summer They have already tried to shunt Pears out of the door, they may succeed in the near future. He hasn't been disastrous for us this season, so he may have done enough to earn himself an escape That would leave us with an 18 year old Michalski., so a cheap/free player would probably suit Rudy/Pasha perfectly From what I have seen, O'Leary is inferior to Toth, & a similar standard to Pears. On the bright side, he is better than Ethan Horvath, who I hypothesised earlier, that he may be on the shopping list
  18. Pretty sure nobody is back at the moment There were training pictures of a few, but from memory Morishita Litherland, Gudjohnsen & Forshaw will be back in the team by the end of January, Carter, Wharton & Kargbo will be February, Tavares is further away, Montgomery is unknown, & Hedges may be the season. Alebiosu is away until next week
  19. Makes sense. I think we only have about six keepers already on the books. As always linked with non starters or cheap squad fillers and never anyone who will actually significantly improve the starting X1. Edit: tbf just checked and he seems to have been out for a while having sustained an ankle injury during the play off finals. He wouldnt have to be particularly good to be an upgrade on either Toth or Pears.
  20. Today
  21. I dont actually think it's a priority to challenge the non response to the letter, the longer it is ignored, the worse it looks on the Club. In response to your second point, I hope the boycott is a huge success from your point of view, but even if it is, I doubt it will achieve much in itself frankly. Sustained action over an extended period of time however might, and it all has to start somewhere and this is an ideal first step.
  22. 6 days and 5 hours until we play Swansea away. Surely that must be a game we should aim to get something from. How many training sessions will our new left wing back and striker(s) get with the team before this one?
  23. Leonard in League One is at the right level now. The lad needed 10 chances to score one goal and I won't forget the League Cup match at Chelsea early in the second half when we were up about to celebrate a certain goal and he somehow managed to shoot wide. That's not say he was worse than Gueye - he wasn't - and I'm sure he would have had game time this season with all the injuries and loss of form but there's alot of rose tinted spectacles about him as a player. He wasn't really very good.
  24. This is really very good. Thanks to all involved.
