  1. Past hour
  2. These last two transfer windows have been abysmal. Other than Abeiosu and to some extent Gudjohnsen all of the signings look to be league 1 standard or worse. If we had kept the steady championship players over the summer and introduced the signings as squad fillers then fair enough some might have pushed on more than they have. Instead we have replaced an experienced side with a load of players that aren't ready for it and some never will be. January was the chance to save the season and we have again brought in players that have no record of playing in this league or at the level we require. I wouldn't even bet on this shower beating Sheff Wed tomorrow night its that bad.
  3. We don't have the players, to play any system, bunch of weak willed losers, who haven't much idea what to do with a ball.
  4. If Ismaels still in the dugout, grey and gloomy, for Blackburn Rovers.
  5. State of the club at the moment, we need a massive clearout from top to bottom at falling apart at the seams Ewood.
  6. Rovers 1 - 1 Sheffield Wednesday. Gudjohnsen. Predicted team: Toth Miller O'Riordan McLoughlin Cashin Tronstad Forshaw Jorgensen Cantwell Morishita Gudjohnsen Would honestly much prefer us to go 442, but we don't have the players to play that system.
  7. Aren't Genoa on the verge of selling their right back? Inter and Everton strongly linked. Surely they'll be back in with another offer for Alebiosu.
  8. 22 points in 15 games equates to 67 to 68 points in a season which would have been 9th in the 2016-17 Championship
  9. Ismael should have walked half way through the window after his requests through the media for new signings was clearly ignored. We needed a striker at the start of the window yet we’ve ended up with two wingers. Nowhere near enough goals in this team to get us out of trouble.
  10. Disappointed Ismeal is still here. 3points with a convincing performance and no injuries. Also hope De Neve leaves today.
  11. More importantly, could it be that Alebiosu Is off to Everton? Our very best player. We consoled ourselves at the loss of Britten by congratulating the Club on finding someone as good. And it looks like we're selling him too. All this stuff about why Ismael is allowed to spend on transfers and his predecessors is off the mark. As was said in summer we are only allowed to spend what we create from sales. Yet the bastards talk about last summer as a "rebuild". There is no rebuilding at Ewood, we find a gem and sell him. That's all there is to it. Utterly disheartening.
  12. I was really hopeful about Henriksson, thought he'd be what we needed. Sadly he's clearly not at Championship level...not yet anyway. Maybe he'll be ok in League One, but I think that would be his limit. I do have some sympathy with the player, as he's more often than not been played out of position. Another square peg signing. Too many of 'em.
  13. He's actually confirming it if you read the article. I'm pretty sure real journalists aren't gonna see a fan account and say oh fuck it Idc if he's right or wrong. Ruins their reputation.
  14. Bloody Rovers ticketing system wont allow me to buy a ticket for this - I've been around the loop seven times so far on different devices, but it logs me out and empties my basket of the selected seat every time. I dont have the time to get to the ticket office, so it looks like someone at Ewood wants me to sit this one out. Bonkers.
  15. Wednesday on a Tuesday. Second time around. Has anyone checked the forecast?
  16. Today
  17. He will still have a lot of credit in the bank in Sweden given how he performed there, a sensible club would be going down this road to ship him out. A sensible club we are not..... He'd probably do well there again too, kind of feel sorry for the lad here, whilst he hasn't performed here, I doubt the support given to him has been adequate. A better manager may have gotten some kind of tune out of him (playing him in position would be a good starting point).
  18. Every club in Europe is interested in Tyson except us apparently
  19. At least Dapo is recognition that deNeve isn't going to hack it. Highly dubious deNeve and Tavaeres would hack it among league 1 cloggers. If Aleboyosu were leaving I wouldn't have made the precautionary change at half time on Saturday. And no way would I play Cadamarteri ahead of Ohashi. I am hoping for a lost fax machine today to be honest. That is my vote of non confidence in Gestede, Pasha and Ismael.
  20. Hull won the sort of game sides chasing promotion win. Out played, scored with an offside goal. Rovers lost the sort of game relegated sides lose. Had the majority of the play without really threatening and got sucketed. There were enough signs we can get out of our predicament and enough warning signs we won't. Be grateful for the Baggies implosion and Leicester disciplinary headache.
  21. Because they would have gotten the club promoted where as Gestede is taking us down. It's clear what their intentions are.
  22. I am just completely terrified, we played well enough on Saturday, and still didn’t win. Don’t know how much better we can be. We don’t have any juice in the team, slow all over the field. Dapo certainly looks quick, and Kargbo for all the hate he got, is lightning. Gives us someone to hit on the breaks. We just aren’t dangerous. Not convinced at all on Cadametri, watched their game Sat morning and he was anonymous, very Jorgensen like. But young and with a decent contract could be worthwhile if we were mid table. Feel we won’t have enough to stay up if all we get is those two. Alebiosu for 6m would be good business, again if we were mid table. Can’t risk that. Prediction In Cadamateri ST 1m Stevens RB 1m Out Alebiosu 6/7m Everton(EPL clubs always go mental) Pickering 400k League 1 Save the money for the summer 😂
  23. I do quite like Martin Samuel on the whole but he isn't reading the underlying situation at all there. Yes on the surface the dissent might look harsh but we only finished 7th last year thanks to an excellent Head Coach we alienated and drove out. And it's happened twice since Mowbray left. And their eventual replacement is taking us down.
  24. Looks like the Mowbray link is a wind up thankfully but that doesn't change the fact we're in a world of trouble. As you would expect from this shower the whole Ismael situation has been horrendously mismanaged. After Eustace was driven out the obvious thing to do then was to appoint a wise old head until the end of the season just to keep their hand on the tiller, and keep things ticking over. Then in summer, reassess. In the meantime, don't change too much and get someone in who would get the players feeling good about themselves. Someone like Warnock. Instead we got this chump and play off hopes evaporated immediately with a home draw followed by five defeats from his first 6 games. To say that was a disaster would be an understatement but bizarrely we'd given him a 3.5 Yr deal which seems ludicrous given he's barely lasted 50 games anywhere else he's been. A dire summer of recruitment followed and predictably Ismael has lived down to expectations and then some. Should have been sacked in summer after making such a balls up of the play offs and really with only two home wins on the board you could quite easily have sacked him at any point this season. Definitely no later than the Wrexham home game on New Year's Day when it was clear there was nothing left in the tank. Now due to the incompetence of management we're still stuck with the problem that he has 2.5 years still left on his contract and the January transfer window has been and gone. In my view: Worst possible case scenario: Ismael stays 2nd worst case scenario: Ismael is sacked and Mowbray is appointed until the end of the season. (In no way an endorsement of Mowbray, but shows how bad Ismael is) 3rd worst case scenario: Sack Ismael and give it someone like Damien Johnson/David Lowe until the end of the season. Ideal case scenario: Sack Ismael and make a decent appointment. If we were prepared to chuck some money at it, still wouldn't mind an Allardyce or a Warnock type until the end of the season to lift the mood around the place - possibly with the help of a younger assistant. Longer term if we go down we need to identify an up and coming young manager/Head Coach. Probably a vain hope but as I said at least a couple of months ago, it's a stark choice in my opinion. We either stick with Ismael and accept we're going down or we make a change and TRY to do something about it.
  25. How many fingers have you got on each of your hands? We've only had 4 since 1975 if my Maths are correct!
  26. I'm not saying you're wrong, I really have no idea either way (you have had some scoops lately though). But I think this tweet, by saying 'as reported by', is just quoting you, rather than saying they have also heard this information.
