  1. Past hour
  2. Kargbo maybe but he didnt need to bring Tavares on. He had Montgomery or pulling Cantwell deeper into midfield. Or could have just left TGH there, moved Miller to RB and brought on McCloughlin. The environment at the club makes things difficult but Ismael really shot us in the foot today. Ive been pretty happy with how Ismael has set us up most games, we seem really well drilled. But if we go behind and need a way to find a goal he seems to have few ideas - which is consistent with how we have been for years.
  3. I would say it's a combination of old-skool superfans and club plants. Don't ask me on the ratio!
  4. Indeed. Some clubs are fundamentally broken. Look at Man Utd. They've had a string of established managers, thrown buckets of cash at it, and they're still a laughing stock. There is a malaise from the top down that permeates the club and leaves little room for success. Same is true of Rovers to some extent. Although we've spent precious little money, every time we stumble on a winning formula, the club manages to get in its own way. We're going nowhere but down until the club is cleaned of the current incumbents.
  5. I forgot to mention this before, but I read the comments on the LT's Rovers site quite often and the usual suspects on there have been carrying on about Jackson for months----"negative, always showing the club in a bad light, keeps bringing up old stories that makes the club look bad etc." They were particularly hard on his coverage of Eustace leaving and on Travis' transfer. I just wrote that off as cranks being cranks but you have to think now maybe it was more than that.
  6. Button hasn’t moved, it’s just now impossible to see ‘til you press it…
  7. The issue is Tavares and Kargbo are what has been provided through the "significant investment" of the owners. Who is to blame if owners aren't funding serious wages, transfers and board members? The ambition comes from them. We're in the middle of another spectacular downfall and it's on our absent owners every time.
  8. Probably been asked and discussed but how do you like comments etc now, I don’t seem to be able to do so? Thank you
  9. Yeah - I think the Tavares on to CM, TGH to RB may be the worst sub (as in negatively impacting a game) ive seen as a Rovers fan. It led to total capitulation across the putch.
  10. Today
  11. I don't think it's the crowds issue as opposed to we are crap in every single area on the pitch
  12. Looks to already be drinking the kool aid to me. Not many managers would have played down Hyam leaving so nonchalantly. It made me question his motives and ambition for the club.
  13. If they'd have sold Tavares to Charlton, and kept Joe Rankin Costello, wed have beat them 0-5.
  14. We could do with big crowds turning up for the 2 home games, but I can't see it happening.
  15. Connor O'Riordan suffered an ankle injury hence his early exit. The on-loan Blackburn Rovers centre-half was replaced by Sean Grehan after just 20 minutes with McCann saying: "It looked like he got smashed on his ankle and it's just swollen a little bit." https://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/a-few-are-hiding-grant-mccanns-verdict-on-doncaster-rovers-loss-to-luton-ian-lawlor-5336608
  16. Taveres is so, so poor. We're in huge trouble if we're planning on him being the one they want to develop and sell on a profit.
  17. There won't be anything positive happening at this football club until it is sold.
  18. We really need some positivity in the club after all the on and off the field issues in the past week. These next two home games are somewhat a must win now. Also a good chance to get results in our home crowd. Have to back the players and the gaffer but not the ones above them. Come on the boys!!!
  19. Gestede has said that Tronstad will be leaving at the end of the season, apparently, to go back to Norway or near. It seems the club will keep him to try and avoid relegation until then.
  20. Boring and poor display. Wharton got beat in an importan duel when they scored their first and then took full charge of the game. Tavares not interested in doing any dirty work, could've easily closed their player down for their second. We need to sign Tronstad to a new contract or he's gone in January.
  21. I'm not blaming Toth, I'm saying they'll sell him and replace him with the goalkeeping equivalent of Kargbo. Second goal is on Tavares. Bringing Tavares on was waving the white flag to Charlton.
  22. He was manager of the month, when we beat Watford away.
  23. Unfair on Toth, not much he could do with 2 of the goals, it could have been 5-0 if it hadn't been for Toth. The blame goes to Ismael, wrong formation, got it badly wrong.
