  1. Past hour
  2. I have a mate who is pay as you go but attends 95% of home games and the odd away one when it's possible. So he's benefitted from my ST
  3. I will add to this, personally I would leave O'Riordan where he is, he looks ok/good in League 1, and can develop more if he carries on playing over the rest of the season far more than just training and sat on our bench. But recalling him will be cheaper and easier than bringing in another centre back (on top of the one I mentioned in my last post)
  4. Thoughts are with you all Carl x Rest in peace Luke x
  5. See @arbitropout above. Even Chelsea head coach thought it was a red card.
  6. Today
  7. The Chelsea manager thinks the red card was the right decision. The Italian agreed that Caicedo should have been sent off, but did not like the lack of consistency in the Premier League. "It's a red card," said Maresca about the Caicedo challenge. "But why Bentancur against Reece was not red card when we played Spurs away?
  8. I can't say about him personally John but there were linesmen of a similar ilk when I was active and sometimes my instructions would change slightly to factor in their busyness and involvement. I spoke to a couple of friends still involved and asked them about him and both started with 'he's a nice lad but.....'. I would imagine that inwardly the referee wasn't happy as, in my view it has taken the shine off what was a good performance. I saw about six games this weekend and lots of challenges with similar force (or lack of) that weren't given. As I mentioned earlier nobody can say he was 100% wrong but it was probably the softest free kick of the game and certainly didn't fit with the referees modus operandi on the day. It would have been interesting to know if that type of foul had occurred in the penalty area would be have flagged for a spot kick? We'll never know but every fibre in my body tells me no.
  9. Can only hope the perhaps slightly unfair postponement gives us an added edge to correct the home form. Ipswich a bit erratic away from home, quite capable of a 4-1 pumping but also lost to Oxford as well. In theory it may work in our favour that they'll come and have a go and allow us to counter. 2-1 home win although literally nothing would surprise me.
  10. Of course we should have defended it better, what a silly notion from you thinking I don't know if thought that. We were debating the award of the free kick in the first place and you have jumped in and tried to do some insane comparison between me and Ismael.
  11. Tomorrow the funeral take place on my late Stepson Luke Harden, who sadly last his life in tragic circumstances, in the early hours of 01/11/2025. Although, not a huge football fan, or a Rovers fan, the first outing I had with Luke, was to a Rovers match on Boxing day 2003 having met his Mum and my future wife a few weeks earlier. Luke is seen up and down the country, at football grounds, as he was a model and amongst other things, he modelled Marc Darcy Suits, who have an association with WBA and Leicester City, amongst others. It would give me and my family (a few Rovers fans amongst us) great comfort, if a round of applause could be arranged on the 37th minute, to mark his age when he passed. Living in Spain, I watch most of the Rovers matches on Rovers TV as I pay the overseas subscription, but will not be either watching on TV or at the ground tomorrow, as the funeral and wake, will go on later into the evening. I will watch the match back, at a later date and would really appreciate any little tribute to him if that is possible. Hopefully we will win the game and I can raise a glass to Luke and a Rovers Victory. RIP Luke, you are sadly missed. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/25604410.trial-date-set-pair-accused-murdering-luke-harden/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DQl0Qc8lU4L/?hl=en-gb
  12. We are playing Ipswich so the weather forecast is a month of rain in the next 24 hours...
  13. I wonder how the thousands upon thousands of people who took advantage of impressive season ticket deals at Bolton, Bradford, Preston and Huddersfield by committing themselves to full season tickets for the first time or at least for the first time in years managed to do so without a multitude of caveats and strings attached. A snowball effect where proper sustained and serious marketing efforts went hand in hand with a good offer. Here, for one game only, it becomes a big issue.
  14. Wait didn't we just get a new set piece coach? Lol
  15. not sure what your problem is Not about subs mate- game management is how you coach the team (who ever is on the pitch) to manage a game or “see it out” our squad is pathetic and we have been significantly downgrade year after year systematically however we still had 11 players on the pitch and yet again at 90mins he can’t conduct those players to keep the ball away from our goal and we concede a 5th goal after 90 mins abysmal
  16. Yesterday
  17. Fair enough Parson, hope you have got to the other side of your health issues. I won't tackle you on this again but the tenor of your posts recently make it sound as if you are either full square behind the regime and/or you dont mind what happens to the Club, your support for the team won't waver irrespective of what Division or level we end up in or at. That may or may not be an accurate reflection of what you feel but if not I think it's a shame that as one of the leading authorities on the Club, we aren't privy to your true thoughts. You don't need to reply to this post if you dont want, Im not trying to trip you up or catch you out by drawing you into saying something you'd rather be kept private.
  18. the size of our squad will really come home to hurt us in the coming weeks, basically we are down to 14 useful players, the rest are either not good enough or fresh from the academy, very surprised tyjon has`nt made the step up to the senior side this season,he`ll learn more coming on for 10 minutes than he will starting regularly for the u23`s
  19. It was a genuine attempt to block the ball and he was a split second late. Reckless would be going in studs up and catching him higher up on the leg. The referee saw it in real time at normal speed and (correctly imo) awarded a yellow. It wasn't a "clear and obvious" error and VAR shouldn't have intervened. They aren't supposed to be re-refereeing the game.
  20. I couldn’t pay a friend to come and watch the shite served up at Ewood on a dark, cold and wet Tuesday night. The club need to understand until the entertainment increases at Ewood you’re only going to get season ticket holders. They would have been better doing it for free and selling some pies and beer alongside a better attendance.
  21. Ipswich will be creaming themselves in anticipation of this fixture. Feck em to high tractorworld and back I say. Just dig in boys, and pull something, anything, from the locker to put the record straight. It's all we ask. Rob o the green - Rovers 1 Tractor boys 0 Robbery most foul - Rovers 0 Arnold Muren's love children 1 Realistic reckoning - Rovers 1 Whipsnitch 2 COYB!
  22. Fly Me to the Moon - Frank Sinatra
  23. Curtis Lee - Under The Moon Of Love
  24. Reckless? Please. He was late to the ball. Unfortunately the fellas foot was where it was. Yellow.
