  1. Past hour
  2. That's not the point. These were reported as "advanced talks" and nothing has happened in the two weeks since
  3. Like i said are Venkys going to request extra money to the court for transfers then pay an extra 50% on top to buy a player because of the bond ? It's a non starter and seeing as you've brought it up transfer fees will not be an essential running cost to an English football club in the eyes of an Indian judge whose dealing with objections to money transfer by his own govts anti fraud and money laundering unit. That is 'investment purposes' not running costs not when they are telling the judge they need money for the academy which produces our players. This is the Indian court system not a European one they'll have very little grasp on anything pro football wise you are being way too generous in your assumptions. Considering every item they want money for has to be proven then when paid receipts provided just so they can get their bond back i doubt transferring money to another football club and players agents fits in. It's not happening, not that they are asking for that anyway.
  4. Wouldn't surprise me him going there but won't he want to take Sweden to the world cup first tho? Can see Rob Edwards going there tho if I was Boro I would be looking at Stockport County manager Dave Challinor
  5. Another excuse. Players having holidays must only ever affect this club. Weird.
  6. We see. Expect couple in and nothing more I menton Sunderland paying 5m for him
  7. Players are on holiday. Some movement has in the transfer market but it's minimal so far.
  8. Last year I was asked by Fraser Read if I wanted to participate in helping gather feedback for the 150th kits. We had a great meeting at Ewood prior to a home game, I wrote up loads of notes/photos & sent them to Fraser. Shortly afterwards he left Rovers & all communication with that group ceased so I’ve no idea what will finally emerge frankly. The plan was for 3 regular season kits & a special edition shirt (like the 125th) for the anniversary. If it doesn’t happen like that…then somebody prevented it…
  9. Our 1st match against Brighton & Hove Albion will be available to view next Wednesday evening - 11/6/25 https://youtu.be/lJr9RAo2Ef4?si=RBzNBpqRCaIfiWF6
  10. A little while back we were asked if we wanted to represent Blackburn Rovers in the inaugural talkSport Cup quiz competition…it didn’t take long for us to say yes & we will update you with our progress in this thread. Representing Rovers will be @sasumner & @Herbie6590 so wish us luck as we try to salvage something from our season! All the matches will be available on talkSport’s YouTube channel here Wish us luck…⚪️🔵
  11. Unless the contract is signed any news of "interest/talks/trying" is utterly meaningless coming from Rovers. Even then we don't have a great track record...
  12. Posted this on the 22nd. Brittain "positive" contract talks and Sagnan in "advanced talks" lands on the 26th. Nearly 2 weeks later not another word uttered on either of them. All a smokescreen, nothing but predictable. Surely we all know how things work here now?
  13. Could be this, could also be Swag was the one drip feeding transfer news to Nixon
  14. Today
  15. Wasn't the Sagnan story the first real transfer break since Waggot left? To me shows the complete inexperience on Gestede...He probably had a chat with the lads agent and got excited!! Or has completely lied, to fool us all which is most probably the case.
  16. There are two players between Glenn Keeley and Paul Round but only Tim Parkin is named, who is the missing player?
  17. When we have no money to pay to keep the stadium adequately maintained and clean, there will be none for transfers in.
  18. ‘Look. We are a small club, pre Jack we only had 6,7k on!’ So did everybody!
  19. It’s click bait, part of his job is to get people to read his stories by subscribing. It’s a bit silly to say he’s ’actively taking the piss out of fans’.
  20. Even worse. Looks like really tacky cheap knock off stuff with a poor version of the Rovers badge ironed on the front.
  21. Not sure if Jackson has had his knuckles rapped after a brief spell of questioning things but he now seems to be back full square banging the Company drum. A headline this week was "First out of contract Rovers player signs contract extension". Happy days you might have thought. Probably Brittain with whom we've allegedly been in protracted discussions? (No) OK, Dolan, Travis, Tronstad? (No) Actually a lad called Felix Goddard who I must confess I've never heard of. Apparently a 21 year old keeper out on loan at Ebbsfleet United who again Ive never heard of but he must be (at best) 5th choice keeper as he'll be behind Toth, Pears, Michaelowski (sp) and Jack Barrett. At points like this, with headlines like that, Jackson is actively taking the piss out of the fans.
  22. Essential costs vs transfer costs has utterly no relevance to an anti fraud or money laundering unit. Their remit is to deal with fraud, and money laundering. As far as has been heard, there is no official allegation by them of impropriety over transfers, and even if they suspect it (which we almost all do), the judge isn't on the anti fraud or money laundering team. In theory at least, he should follow the letter of the law. Government pressure notwithstanding, he would still have to be able to justify, legally, not permitting transfer funds but allowing electricity bills. There's also a very solid argument that transfer funds are an essential cost of running a football club.
  23. Football really was in terminal decline in the early /mid 80's. Also it was the Thatcher era with mass unemployment, the miners strike, etc. so money was tight for many people. Many of us who were around at the time have fond memories of the football back then and the feeling of connection with the club, owners and players. But without the kick up the arse the game received with the start of the Premier League - and I know there are lots of things wrong with it - who knows what would have happened.
