  1. Past hour
  2. The UEFA cup was often considered to be the toughest to win due to the fact it had more than one team from the stronger leagues and some of those teams were on the rise at the time. Of course those teams are now in the Champions League instead!
  3. My lad says his pace is 81 on Fifa if that means anything. If he joins hopefully it's as an attacking player rather than another left back. Who knows with this circus though.
  4. There is no need to be so defensive. I have never heard of him no, I am just saying that IF he signs, that it would be the second time that Gestede has signed someone that has been relegated from the Belgian league. I didnt pass comment on my opinion of that. Our club is run terribly and more often than not, we are slow, there are often delays getting budgets agreed etc, beyond the usual fact that a big chunk of transfers are done beyond the start of pre season. We were particularly slow last season too. Broughton seemed to be more proactive both in terms of transfers and contract extensions but has now gone. My comments on us being slow was more of a general comment under this terrible ownership and board. You dont have to constantly plead for patience and defend the club constantly, often missing the point, so repeatedly.
  5. Didn't answer one single question, what a surprise. I would have stick by Ange and back him. Haven't I been more than crystal clear about them. Ange promised he delivered a trophy and he did. A day Spurs fans will never forget and Ange will go down as a hero in Spurs history more than Pochettino or Mourinho will
  6. So you know this player then? Does he have pace? We signed Brittain and Szmodics from relegation Championship teams and both been excellent signings
  7. https://x.com/HancockAnalysis/status/1860771068153049593?s=19 There's a chance.
  8. Do you actually read the article I post that 50% of transfers are done in August? We have been slow last year but the year before we made 3 signings very quickly in Ennis, Tronstad and Sigurdsson. The year before we were slow due to GB and JDT being appointed late Well let's well and see before passing such a judgement perhaps?. What a reasonable chuck? 2? 3? 4? 5? I would always want a couple of signings in early but that's ain't always possible for a range of reasons. From the free agent market but the foreign market. Before we comment on our slowness in the window why don't you judge after pre season starts not now. You going to look rather silly now if we make a couple of signings before pre season. You are far too quick to judge
  9. Looks like a player who has played some games at left back and has barely ever scored. Rudy doesnt half love a player from a relegated Belgian side if its true.
  10. Oh dear Chaddy, got it all wrong again by backing Ange Becoming a bit of a habit don't you think? The mystery is why you're bothered about a very unlikeable North London club
  11. Read my first paragraph again in the post you quoted to see my answer. Im pretty sure that you are the one in the past who has endorsed teams resting players in cup competitions. But that doesnt mean that Ange has proven that he is the best man to take them forward. Im guessing that you will be hoping for Spurs to get relegated.
  12. It's all depends who adapt the conditions in USA, Canada and Mexico. Wide open at this stage for me. Ancelotti in charge of Brazil will be contender, Argentina, Spain, France, Germany and us. Italy have just sack their manager
  13. I think they’ve got better players than anyone else, Spain probably just edge it, though.
  14. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dion-de-neve/profil/spieler/502245 Left midfielder player
  15. Can't blame anyone who did. It's was truly pathetic performance
  16. I don’t think it’s as clear cut as the funds sent post court hearings being proven to be legitimate, meaning a return of funds. As mentioned by a recent post ED do not want them to be allowed to send money full stop. By that hopefully they are not happy with funds being used and effectively flushed down the toilet, as it is mentioned that Rovers are loss making. Using the club as a way of reducing liabilities in their own country, may well not be allowable, who knows, or even the source of the funds could be under investigation.
  17. Will Spain or France be the team to beat at the world cup? Tuchel has a big job ahead
  18. Is it about winning trophies or finish second? Would Ange had kept his job if he had finish 8th in the league but no trophy? Or did Ange focus on winning a trophy something over league position after being knocked out of league cup and FA cup? Wonder if Wigan fans would give up their FA Cup win to stay up in the PL?

  20. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at his bit :- engaged in recreation activity in the form of running a football club named Blackburn rovers. Most people take up walking, swimming, golf ect, not turning a professionally run football club into a laughing stock basket case. Get out of OUR Club!!!!!!!
  21. Interesting stuff thanks for researching and sharing and for the blinkered deniers still evident in the fanbase it can all be fact checked. The DE have the Vs by the balls on this make no mistake and it's odd they are so pissed off at seemingly a couple of mistakes over a decade ago which imo just goes to show they suspect other things have gone on but can't prove it. One thing though puzzles me though, surely once they sent previous money and satisfied the conditions of proving what it's for and where its gone they'd then get that particular amounts bond money back/guarantees lifted ? So they won't actually be so much out of pocket and free to satisfy the next allotted amounts ?
  22. I’m just being wistful about when football used to be about winning things. Obviously now it isn’t, in reality if Levy thought he’d have them away from the European spots again he had to go. But for Tottenham fans they’ll remember Bilbao and Ange far more fondly than another season that merged into the next ‘who remembers 2022 when we finished 4th?’.
  23. I think though that you can consider it as a more sucessful and memorable season even than say Arsenal, as football is about trophies. But equally decide that the overall performance in the season doesnt suggest that a manager has demonstrated that he is the man to take them forward.
  24. We all are. Lets all get behind the latest uprising and finally drive them out.
  25. Not saying it is directly comparable. However, that squad should’ve been nowhere near the relegation zone, the fact it won a cup and pretty much the same squad came 6th the year after tells you that. But we were down there, that’s football. End of the day top level football used to be about winning trophies, 7th or 17th, made no difference when half the division weren’t given a European place. A successful, memorable season would be defined by winning things, not another season winning nowt, but finishing 5th.
  26. Had a look around Blackburn Museum yesterday and their exhibit 150 years of Blackburn Rovers it runs until next Saturday 14th June. Exhibits include a number of shirts one from late 1890's and one from fa cup final against Huddersfield in 1928. Fa cup winners medals from the treble in 1890's. Number of programmes, pennants including Pune FC (spit). However overall I was disappointed it really needed a time line backed up with newspaper articles and photographs.
