  1. Past hour
  2. We might end up with less than him though.
  3. If there are other teams in for Cadamarteri then I can't see him ending up at Rovers. Millwall supposedly have had a bid rejected now, so wouldn't be surprised if they go back in with another if that was their first bid.
  4. 1 defeat in 10 competitive games for Hull, 1 win in 14 competitive games for Rovers, on paper it looks like they wil steam roll us. I don't think we'll get stuffed, I think it will be a narrow, ugly win for Hull. As others have said though, it's got to the stage where every single home game is now a 'must win' and bar an unusual event like a sending off for Hull, I can't see us overpowering them in 90 mins.
  5. Refereeing standards being much more stringent and games being closely televised. You can’t get away with anything these days. Watch the Chelsea v Leeds FACup replay from around 1970 to get an idea of the game could be back then.
  6. I'd suggest that if their personal wealth went up into the tens of billions then we would know about it - they'd be regularly ranked by Forbes and other experts as among the richest families in the world - not just India. When you have that sort of wealth it is impossible to hide, no matter how secretive or private you are, just look at some of the names on the world rich lists and yeah, it's not an exact science but it's still a reasonable basis to work from. This lot have next to no profile. No wikipedia pages, no appearances in rich lists, they're not very well known. So I find it really hard to believe they are worth that sort of money. A net worth of a couple of billion I expect is the most they get to and once you tie a lot of that up in land and shares when you are sending cash to the tune of £20 million a year to a black hole in NW England it must be having an impact they are uncomfortable with. Their approach over the last few years suggests they are.
  7. Don’t think Cadamarteri has ‘less’ potential the issue is we need something for ‘now’ and Cadamarteri for me doesn’t fit the bill in an idea world given his age and not needing registered we get him and another 9 but that’s beyond realistic with this lot
  8. Interesting that all these names are mostly from decades ago. There just aren't these type of players around any more. Can anyone name a current hard man ? I know I'm struggling. For what it's worth I'll go Nicky Marker. Crocked Ardiles in his first and last game for Rovers (and was signed a few months later if memory serves me right)
  9. I never saw an opponent take any liberties with Ken Knighton. That tells you all you need to know. Rile him and you would regret it.
  10. He needs asking next time a microphone is plonked under his arrogant hooter WHY did you really sell Harry Leonard only to then run around desperately looking for something with less potential.
  11. Predictably Brian de Keersmaecker has had a good season at Oxford, seems important to them and is already being linked away for profit. Meanwhile we need to buy Tavares, Henrikksson and De Neve replacements and can't move them on anywhere. As I said in summer, buy cheap buy twice. Or in the case of our summer scouting, buy cheap buy 6 times which is what it will ultimately need to be. Along with a Tronstad replacement... Sack Rudy Gestede and Ismael now!
  12. Their VH conglomerate is estimated to be worth 1.6 billion on most recent info. Mrs D herself on most recent estimates is said to be worth a shade over 600 million, not billion. Very wealthy yes but 10 billion ? Unlikely, there plenty more wealthy people in Pune although knowing for sure is difficult the way things are done over there will limited info. The land is an odd subject as well because the Lavasa development which involves vast areas of divided up land around Pune has hit massive problems and most of it has stalled. Legal battles are still ongoing. I'd say a combined family wealth of business, cash and assets of around 2 billion plus is probably nearer the mark.
  13. It is a moot point, that the club (aka Mr Short pants and the Shadow Hider) thought it 'good business' to sell a young prospect to a lower league club only to try to replace him with a clearly inferior alternative at a much higher cost. If anything shows the abject incompetence and incredible ineptitude of the Chuckle Brothers then this is it. It also highlights the much greater long term impact of their weird pseudo-strategy, which places Blackburn Rovers on an inevitable and predictable decline towards failure. Why there is no outrage amongst the fan base about the constant opening of the seacocks by these destructive knobheads is a mystery to me. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see the trajectory keeps being revised down and the likely outcome keeps becoming gloomier under their odious hands. Knobheads OUT! VENKYS OUT!
  14. Agree Leonard should of been put in for Gueye
  15. Transfermarkt also haven’t included the Travis and Brittain deals in the 25/26 totals, they have the fee down as ‘?’ So it’s more than €7.43m
  16. He will probably end up here, over the last 2 weeks we have likely called them daily to offer from 0% wage contributions, increasing by 2% per daily phone call.
  17. He did indeed, added a note to my previous post
  18. No it means he will still be playing in the PL2 and having top quality coaching. Compared to a CAT3 academy which plays in a lower standard of league.
  19. Today
  20. Notice Gestede said in that leaked phone call that Pears had "two years plus an option" when when asked about his contract. Could be another Hyam that just hasn't been reported for whatever reason like you say.
  21. Has Paul Mullin gone anywhere yet?
  22. Cadamatari managed 5 goals in league 1 last season. Leonard has smashed through that by January. Should never have been sold when we are so short up top.
  23. Please tell me again how/why we are better off with our current ownership stricter than we would be without them?
  24. Not sure if he was hard, but he looked it and played with a heart attack didn't he? Givet?
  25. I think this is where we get it wrong. The Rao wealth of 2 to 4 billion is a very old figure. What we do know was the late father benefitted from a deal which gave him ownership of a third of the collar of land which went all round Pune sometime in the early 1990s in return for making sure it was developed Pune has grown fivefold since then. A third of the land area of Pune today is worth over a hundred billions. Now cut that figure dramatically because they don't have an interest in the central areas then the Raos are still easily worth ten billion plus today and their growth in paper wealth each year has massively outstripped the cash put into Rovers.
