  1. Past hour
  2. You are 100% correct. The league has every right to say we provide you with plenty of funds to run your club, there are physical ways of protecting your pitch (a tank drainage system) if you chose not to we will do our best to get you out of the league.
  3. Extremely disappointing (once again) to be coming away from Ewood piss wet through with no points despite being in a winning position. Once again, a lot of rain fell this afternoon and it’s obvious to everyone that the drainage system could not handle it. However, realistically, what could have been done to prevent this happening again. It’s not like there can be a complete overhaul of the pitch until the summer. The EFL have no other option but to order a replay as per Ipswich but may decide to give the club an ultimatum that could include sanctions if the problems with the pitch are not addressed by next season.
  4. Again, are they not making money out of this by charging full price for the game, then half price (or whatever) for the rearranged game.
  5. We have a 3 week break in home games after 4th January (FA Cup aside). Roughly the same time non-league Rochdale are allowing to install new drainage and a new pitch: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ce91x2pdelno Just get it booked in tomorrow. If we're drawn at home in the cup I don't see it being an issue to switch to being away...
  6. There was an apology on the ground by the announcer when the abandonment was announced
  7. I have a feeling , that as been their aim for the last 3 seasons !
  8. I hope the FA take really stringent action. If a stand was unsafe the Licensing people would shut it down. If the ground as a whole wasn't up to professional standards the League wouldnt allow us to compete. Well, the pitch isnt up to professional standards. No different from the rest of the ground imo.
  9. I for one won't be going for the foreseeable now. It's a disgrace and I won't subsidise it. Change is needed.
  10. I might be wrong but I think it takes time to bed a pitch in. Trying to upgrade the pitch now might actually make things worse. Even trying to stick a sticking plaster on it might not make any difference. I'm certainly no expert on grass though. But yeah, I won't be missing my lawn for another oooh three months. This is a new low lads. If we cancel a few more games over the winter then I would fully expect some sort of points deduction, I mean there would have to be wouldn't there? There's timings about being unable to fulfil fixtures because of admin. So you would expect some sort of provision for being unable to fulfil fixtures because of inadequate facilities. It's diabolical and deeply saddening that we've come to this, but not in any way surprising. But this isn't even our low point, not but a long way I don't think. It's surely going to keep getting worse
  11. Duck Ragu tonight - kid ye not. Cheapest French red I can drink. They'll get us relegated on these points won't they.
  12. Unlikely , we have been waiting 15 years for one !
  13. we`ve got the snow and frost in january to look forwards to,chances are the undersoil heating won`t be working, expect further postponements
  14. Not the most pressing matter but how bad is Lewis Miller on the ball? He is like this every game so cant blame the weather, spooning every ball including the most pathetic free kick I think ive ever seen. I didnt think our performance for an hour was particularly good but the conditions made that very difficult. Miroshita though was the one looking to always make something happen. Forshaw was good but an injury to him seemed inevitable and was for nothing.
  15. They’ll (probably) still be under a fee restriction.
  16. U.K. Winters are set to get wetter...will someone warn the f'kin Gobshytes running our Club through the Floor that action needs taking and fast. Still no comment from the Club?
  17. Ok thanks. I suppose if they could change the result then any other Club adversely affected could rightly complain about the integrity of the Competition being compromised.
  18. Is this season cursed? The worst squad in years with a dud of a manager. Then combined with the absolute worst luck in referees, weather, last minute losers, injuries. It’s all come together in a season to end in relegation.
  19. Your time has come Val , resign and leave with your head held high ! 3 managers walking in 2 years . Venkys unfit for purpose !
  20. The special brucey bonus from this is that now we'll get to play them after the transfer window has opened, their new owners are in and they'll have been able to sign a few players. By then they won't be as soft an outfit and might mug us off in the same way Ipswich did on Tuesday.
  21. Don't be so precious. Obviously you condone what happened today then?
  22. I wonder how long the long serving head groundsman will put up with this.
  23. Good post and well done for not doubling down. Last time it was that it should have carried on, it was just a bit of rain, the referee was wrong, it was McKenna's fault etc. All along its been the fault of the owners. The reaction when the ref stopped the game was anger towards the owners and rightly so.
  24. They actually pulled off a lot of water - but it's too little, too late at that point.
  25. I think I probably am one. It's a fair description.
  26. The owners don't want to invest on the pitch, off the pitch, or in the pitch. So, why the fuck are they still here?
