  1. Past hour
  2. Your guess is as good as mine mate, but I'd be fascinated to know what happens at training, given our start to the season. I think Ismael hinted in summer that he wanted a team of strong robust athletic type players for this squad. So to address that, we sold our more consistent centreback in Hyam and now rely on two very injury prone ones. Then we signed a load of players who have never played in a division with this level of quality, match intensity and volume of fixtures. We then signed a player with an injury where we have no idea how serious it is or when he'll be able to play, or whether he'll be up to the speed and quality of the league. So we've definitely taken steps to be strong/robust/athletic etc.
  3. We could easily be rock bottom come this time next week...Squad depth will really come back to bite us. We played well today, but it was inevitable that Coventry would come back into it. Based on performances I would agree we are in a false position but not by bloody much.
  4. You can say boo to that goose if you wish but you don't disrespect those who we remember on that day - do it sometime else .
  5. "Why do you have to be so negative? Just back the lads ffs you're making it toxic and it affects the players. The owners are doing their best, they put £20mill in every year, good luck finding someone else to put that in. It's not 1995 anymore. Let's forget about off the pitch stuff and sing some more songs about B*rnley, who we haven't laid a glove on since our owners bought the club and are constantly laughing at us."
  6. Sadly some fans are also clapping along and backing the club. I’ve had enough of the manager, Rudy, Suhail and the owners. How long till we protest? Some “exciting summer”
  7. Quell my suprise absolutely wank manager.
  8. This is disastrous. We knew this would happen, that as soon as we picked up a few injuries with this lightweight squad, that we'd be staring down the barrel, it's happening faster than I expected.
  9. He's too stupid to realise he himself has been set up to fail and his will be the first head to roll.
  10. Cantwell out for 10 days. Anyone know aboyt Miller?
  11. And people like you are exactly why we can’t say boo to any Venky goose.
  12. Signed us up for League One in the summer this guy. He should be making brews and filing papers for a proper CEO, not anywhere near having a say in a club like what ours used to be. Shambles still off the pitch........ no results on it. There's a good few senior people that need firing, including the manager. Problem is there's no one interested in doing it. Not sure how that ends in anything other than relegation yet again.
  13. Toth would be no loss. The other two represent the only vestiges of real quality in the squad for me which is why combined imo)with one of the worst managers we've ever had is why I have so little hope. Which players can we look at and say "we've always got a chance because of X" Can we trust the Head Coach to set us up in a manner to be hard to beat? The answer has to be negative in each case.
  14. Pissmael's predecessor at Barnsley Gerhard Struber continues to push on at Bristol City. There are imaginative leftfield appointments that can work in this league, not that any of the no-marks we have making the decisions would ever find them.
  15. Yep, Rovers are too nice to play against
  16. Yes , every chance , Toth and Cantwell gone in early January ! Maybe the right back too.
  17. Especially Gallacher who is never out the hospitality suites.
  18. We'll see Pears back in soon enough once they've flogged Toth. Then we'll see goals let in like that again on a regular basis again.
  19. Tbf us "playing well" this season just means us being somewhat competitive. Standards are, understandably, through the floor.
  20. We are being hung out to dry by our ownership, happily aided by Pasha and Gestede. Running a team in the Championship costs money, a ridiculous amount of money, hell even a WASTE of money but people are willing to do it. It makes no sense but it's not our job as fans to justify it. Venkys, just put the club up for sale and dissappear. I know for a fact the two names above wouldn't last a day under new ownership.
  21. I think BBC probably watched what happened with Eliot Jackson at the LT and realised that they'll also be sent packing from Ewood if they dare to ask anyone at the Venky politburo anything more difficult than what their favourite colour is or favourite film.
  22. Think we may see AP in goal in the near future - would reinforce the ”unlucky” narrative by putting large portion of the blame on BT. Also - how can so many of our subs fail to understand offside. Truly frightening
  23. Just look at the subs at 2 nil down away at a team like that, 3 average at best lads off and 3 who are at a league several levels above their ability on. Never ever going to turn games around anywhere with that kind of squad.
  24. Yep, couldn’t agree more with that summary. Absolutely desperate for a win midweek or Saturday but I am struggling to see where the goals are going to come from. Yuki has the one deflection at Hull and Gudjonson is now a few games in without hitting the net and in my experience, any decent striker usually scores on debut or very soon thereafter. If not, confidence dips and deserts them and always seems to end badly and so the lack of goals from strikers is a real worry.
