Embarassing as expected. We look nailed on to be in League 1 next season. Manager is crap, admittedly he has a piss poor squad to pick from, although apparently was key in endorsing and getting these wastes of space. But picked the wrong team, made initial subs too late and seemingly with the last 2 subs felt obliged to make all 5. Few players deserve a special mention. De Neve would struggle in the Conference, right up there with the worst I have seen in the shirt, similar to Gueye who summed himself up with that offside at the end. Miller is absolute crap and probably gets away with it amidst the other shit around him. His idiocy led to the spell of pressure that led to the third. The whole defence is diabolical, McLoughlin should not be starting regularly, not very good. Tavares beside good work in the lead to the goal again was what he always is. Laxadasical, sloppy and with a token pitiful shot like he always does. -

What part of this are you enjoying? the not good enough replacements? the seem to be even worse than last seasons not good enoughs? the inability to dominate a game and score a few? the last minute collapses? the key ones that are injured too much? the manager that seems to want to sabotage any time we are up? all in all, very unlikeable as I said -

Didn't look anything great at first team level but had potential. His U21 form was excellent and to me, his lack of pace but guile suggested a Harry Kane-style slow but intelligent forward. Will be interesting to know how he is used at Posh, perhaps, with help of runners, and how he does. -

It’s true DeNeve has been shockingly bad defensively…BUT you continue to select him you dolt. You have to drop a player that routinely makes the same costly mistakes, not elevate them to the starting XI! -

Ismael offered to forgo transfer money in order to fix the pitch (stupid idiot). Maybe he would forgo his redundancy package if he understands the importance. -

Darragh MaxAnthony doesn’t usually get transfers wrong, when we upped the price and he didn’t flinch then people should have taken more notice -
Well , must be some other reason cos he is a vast improvement De Neve ! They want him out !

Singling out a player, especially one playing out of position when you have other options is piss poor management. No surprises there. A few more losses and they should be looking to pot him. That will be more expensive than fixing the pitch. -
2025-26 Relegation thread

On this exact day in 2016 we lost to Brighton 3-2 at Ewood (Duffy scored on his return). This was the line-up, it was a team that was relegated with 51 points. Is it better than the team now? I think so, just about. I'm worried we won't get to 51 points this year and what that means. -

We did wrong by him for a year. Home grown player that had shown the quality. Injuries happen but to just push him out with nothing in return was criminal -
Ohashi is a great squad player. Doesn't have the talent to be a regular starter in a team with serious ambitions of top six, but we aren't a team with that ambition. Today has crystallised to me that, barring a January miracle where we seriously beef up this poor squad, we are going down. If Ohashi sticks around for League 1 I think he'll be decent there.

We’d be a fantastic side of Ohashi was our biggest problem. Far from it. -
I can't stand them and hope they lose every single game 'til the end of the season, but we really have nothing to crow about. Some people are saying on here there was less than 6k at Ewood midweek (don't know whether that's confirmed) and the atmosphere at Ewood is just as bad as it is at their farm this year. The Dingles might have lost 6 in a row but I've no doubt if they played Venky Rovers next weekend they'd absolutely run through us. I think going on about their form or attendances will just make us look daft. I'm more worried they'll still be a division above us next year, even though they're coming straight back down 😞

There’s a striker in League One. Scored the winning goal midweek and bagged another two today. His name is Harry Leonard. Got championship experience. Could be a good option on the bench to change things up. Better option than Gueye! Why the heck did we let him go!!! -
Sorry if I missed something but is Pickering not playing because the manager doesn't rate him or for some other reason do we know?
-
It’s his own fault for picking him. He’s not got a good defensive brain. He’s got away with it in the European pub leagues, but he’s not aware enough. He offers nothing going forward anyway and can’t defend. Pickering is a far better bet but their stupidity won’t let them pick him.

He keeps asking someone who was signed as a "winger" per the club's site in summer to play LWB and defend in key areas against Championship opposition. De Neve's made it very, very clear now multiple times that he can't defend and also probably isn't good enough for this level attack wise. A shocking signing. I'm not sure they knew what they were signing. -

Any team worth their salt has 2 centre halves capable of dealing with a corner. -

Irrelevant, any keeper worth their salt picks the ball up without hesitation, since there was clearly no intentional pass back. -

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
StHelensRover replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
If that attendance figure is correct, that means with approx 300 fulham fans, there was 5300 home fans, when we have c.8000 ST holders. So that means basically no walk-ons and 33% of ST Holders staying away. That's death row stuff for our club if that attendance fig is accurate.
