  1. Past hour
  2. I still don't think the Cantwell one was a penalty. I'm also sick to the back teeth of the lack of ownership of our problems and fans washing it away. Ref's don't score goals, neither do they concede them. They don't set the tactics, or the team up and they don't make transfers. Over the course of a season the worst teams are near the bottom, it's nothing to do with luck. It's to do with performing in a manner that results in an inability to gather points. We are where we are because we've been crap for the majority of the games we've played this season, the result against Hull and the performance against Ipswich have been the exception not the norm. This is nothing new, we were also crap for the vast majority of the season from November onward last year. I can't be arsed doing it but I bet if we put together a league table from December 2024 to now it would make for pretty grim reading.
  3. I cannot speak for everyone but people who I know who go were not 'duped.' After 15 years of this Venky's misrule and shambles it is quite clear the direction the club is going. All supporters need to unite to publicise this and, hopefully, get things to start changing!
  4. Alebiosu spent the best part of ten years at Arsenal youth, so no coincidence he is standing out amongst the summer signings. In recent years, recruitment from European leagues has led us to just two decent signings in Kaminski & Tronstad. On the flip side, there were the likes of Wahlstedt & Telalovic. We now it appears have a squad full of players like this that we are relying on keeping us up! Last season we had a wealth of championship experience in Trav, Hyam, Dolan, Batth & Weimann. All replaced with European league gambles. I’ve not seen Baradji kick a ball yet, but I can pretty much assume he’ll be poor. What we saw in Kargbo I’m not sure. Downgrade on Markandy in my opinion. Recruitment has been absolutely dire.
  5. I think they call it being 'installed' for a specific purpose. By whom is where the real truth lies.
  6. Easiest 3 points Stoke will get all season. Rovers 0 Stoke 3
  7. Fighters, not victims. Heard that phrase, Valerien?
  8. Remember going to Stoke a few years ago with a good noisy following that contrasted the half empty, silent, clearly disillusioned home sections that later turned to anger. I expect similar on Saturday. Rovers 1 Stoke 3 But the upper office will be happy as usual after pocketing revenue from 3k visiting fans and seeing their patsy in tech area giving more mins to their 'investments'.
  9. Here's an idea: When he swaggers around the fanzone with his partner in crime Sufail, why dont the fan's just give them both the two fingered salute and a quick fook off, they might get the message then.
  10. Again who the hell proof reads statements issued by the Rovers. In the one for the debacle on Tuesday, the first line reads that the game was played on Friday . Or have I just lost it ?
  11. Coldplay - Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall
  12. Stoke will have a good noisy following, their tails are up. I cant predict another loss, its making me depressed! 1-1 14,500
  13. Stoke had a tough away match at Middlesbrough last night, travelling back down after the game, late night. Us two home games in close succession. Could be an advantage there but then again just have to hope Ismael has no more birthday parties to go to before Saturday.
  14. I pray that Gestede faces BBC Lancs in January and gets asked about the ‘gamble of inexperience’ again when we’re rooted in the bottom 3. The smug p****.
  15. Are we allowed to start judging the signings now? As Josh said on Twitter last night it doesn't take 8 games to know someone is tosh. I said from the start Gueye was shite. I can confidently say the same of De Neve, Kargbo, Tavares and as it stands Baradji is utterly useless. Jury is out with Henriksson (being generous) and Gudjohnson. Alebiosu has been a very good signing. I won't be gaslit, it's horrendous recruitment.
  16. I'm not so sure going forwards. Graham, Marshall, Conway and Joao are better forward options than we appear to have, and were technically better. That seasons younger Gallagher was better than the one we ended up with as well. Far more mobile. Mulgrew and Lenihan against whoever we put at the back now ? Both were better on the ball than any option we have. Todays full backs appear better, but not by a wide margin. Williams was player of the year that season V Ribero? Not a lot in that. And Nyambe wasn't perceived a weak link, albeit Abeliosu is clearly much better going forward and wins that one on what we have seen. In midfield you have Tronstad & Whoever against Lowe & Evans. However I always said it was in centre midfield where we failed that season. Smallwood coming in was a breath of fresh air. Tronstadt & Travis was clearly better, but we are scrapping around for a decent partner for him. Then you have a poor morale level and a manager I'm not sure they will respond to. We were 9/2 to go down at the start of the season and 7/1 to go down now, which is simply huge.
  17. Either Phillips or Thomas to score (guessing Gally is injured as ever). One thing is guaranteed, Ismael to bemoan the officials or Lady Luck for another tragic result.
  18. The fish rots from the head and I’d include Pasha in that along with our ‘owners’. But make no mistake this clown is one dangerous snake who needs booting out of our club with a king sized rocket up his arse. When the time ever finally comes for new ownership I can’t wait to see chancers like this fall down the footballing ladder. No self respecting club would touch the likes of Gestede with a 100 ft barge pole.
  19. Gestede is a weasel. How any self respecting Rovers fan can accept him back at the club after he binned us off is beyond me. His lies, smug prick face and corpo-speak make me sick. He's insidious, malignant and has smelled a club with a void of anyone capable and inserted himself deeply into our hierarchy to feed on the club from inside. He may not be the cause of why we're in this mess but he's definitely accelerated it. Grade A wanker.
  20. Today
  21. No he isn't, but he is a good player
  22. Unless there is a significant improvement from the team, we are getting turned over comfortably here. 0-2
  23. In all seriousness though, a Swansea fan on Reddit has it sussed Got away with one there. We were poor first half, much better after the subs and glad to see Sheehan has realised we have actual squad depth now. Quite funny to see Cantwell spend the final ten minutes incandescent and trying to get himself sent off after not getting that pen. Suppose it somewhat evens out some awful decisions at Millwall and Birmingham from our perspective, but very unfortunate for Blackburn. Will probably be a long season for them especially if decisions go against them like today and the Ipswich write-off. Fans also seemed very subdued, I know it's a tuesday night but the Venky's hoardings were the loudest thing in the stadium after Cantwell. He and Alebiosu looked a bit dangerous but no real threat from anyone else. And on the opposite end of the stick to us, it didn't seem like they had anyone half-decent to bring off the bench.
  24. I asked a Swan mate what he thought of the game
  25. Gestede has links to Steve Kean and Thats no coincidence in my opinion. As we know, Kean had no experience as a manager, but replaced Alardyce and we know how that ended. Not only that, but Alardyce sued Kean and if Im not mistaken ended up with an out settlement. We now have Gestede throwing his weight around by alegedly, threatening a fan with legal action and I would not be surprised if this with the LT is down to him. He simply knows the right people in my opinion who were here from the start and his appointment has nothing to do with his ability to do the job. Just as Kean did before him, this will also end in relegation, but we could be stuck with him for a while.
  26. Kargbo needs firing off down the leagues for a 6 month loan in Jan to learn how to actually be a winger in England. Everything we feared about importing cheap continentals into the rough and tumble of the Championship and the British weather is coming to fruition and it's not even November yet. Instead of developing they start going backwards rapidly because they've not experience of the struggle at a club like this and they've no bollocks for the scrap and neither have most of those around them. This was all so predictable so why was it allowed to happen ? Commission plain and simple, move them in, get them games, move them on. As proven by the last shower of shite Ennis, Leo. Tel etc they ALL got moved on quickly and they all got a small fee. And the agents running this show ALL got their commission because the advantage of cheap wage foreign players is you'll always find them somewhere else back abroad and they'll be only too glad to go after a dire experience here. This club is now an agency vehicle again existing to get guys Championship mins and move them on again it's the budget version of the Kean/Anderson scam.
